Well..as promised to my new friend Alessandra, I thought I would stop in and give my props to this thread.  (Seeing as I haven't been banned at this forum yet!  [censored]  )

Ale, I even changed my avatar for you as I had the one you are using now! [censored]

This thread is quite fascinating! Everything from the stories to the views on what is sexy in a man and Bond....and tips on how not to ruin your heels while driving!!

I have learned to master driving in bare feet for this reason!

Anyway, Wendy I have to compliment you, you kept this thread going with all the oppostion and doubts you had from the first day!  You just kept plugging away able to laugh at yourself in the process and proving your critics wrong!  It is very nice in the male dominated world of James Bond, to have a feminine thread rich in estrogen to come to to!  You have a lot of great male perspectives as well.  So keep up the good work!

My male friends find it fascinating that I am such a Bond fan....and I think that women enjoy Bond just as much as men because of the very thing they are trying to change.  The character, the glamour, the women,  the escapism, the witticisms..it is what has made Bond last for 40 years. I'm just sad they feel the need to tweak the whole formula that made me a fan in the first place.

Having said that..carry on....I too anticipate the next chapter of your story...

Ah Monique, you're such a darling!! [censored] [censored]
Welcome to the Babes! [censored]
As you've found, this is a very instructive thread on all Bond themes as viewed by Babes.. plus a little of a girl's view into men and everyday life in general, which doesn't do any bad! Ahem, we're the Baedeker to life for a Bond Babe? lol [censored]

Yes, the men finding it fascinating that we're Bond fans. I must say, this may be different here in the country of the sun! (as we call it in Italian!).
I know lots of women who like Bond and men don't find it unusual at all, on the contrary, they give it for granted since the main is Bond... a man all women want to sleep with, and a sex symbol! we have Bond, and they, to make it even, have the Bond girls! [censored]
Must be that we're so much into passions of life (ahem.. lol [censored]) that it becomes somewhat more "democratic" when men and women are involved!
There are many factors in Bond (aside from the Bond girls themselves) which spell "cherchez la femme" as my French neigbours would say! :D
The elegance, the style, the wit, the taste for expensive things, and yes, the danger. These are subjects that interest women just as much as men, if not more.
I find it surprising, actually, that the majority of Bond fans is NOT women! [censored]
But then again, I guess it really depends on the perspective. There are enterprising women, like Bond girls, who want to be in the women's just as much as in the men's world, and women who just prefer to have a separate world of their own, despite being part of the men's world too.

Which brings me to what Xenia said. YES! Word by word, I put my name down to sign your post! lol [censored]
It is so true that Bond is the exact opposite of what some seem to think, in that the girls there are enterprising, capable of holding their own with anyone (men or woman), intelligent, resourceful AND beautiful.. that I cannot express my agreement in full! [censored]

And Wendy.. women as sexual objects? well like you, I don't object to being an object at all for some nights, if the man involved is Bond! (or anyone else I'm ok with!)
And because as Bond babes we are perfectly conscious of our power and resources and appeareance, and know how to make good use of it.. we can CHOOSE, as Wendy said, to be a sexual object. It is a choice, not something imposed by Bond. No woman with brains and personality (AND good looks in our case! :D can become a sexual object if she doesn't choose to be.

As Xenia and Wendy pointed out, the fact that there are so many beautiful women in Bond immediately prompts some other WOMEN to think: ah right, beautiful, they can't also be intelligent and resourceful.
Well.. WRONG!
It's just envy. Envy.. the worst thing in the world in my opinion. And it causes so much damage. And, I'm afraid, a very common prerogative of both men and women. Especially those who, seen they don't have any of the qualities above mentioned, or few of them, think no-one else can possibly have those in spades!
Sad. But since we're BOND BABES and know better.. we let them be sad, and acknowledge that there's a world we're part of which is wonderful to savour till its last bite, and we're not missing on any of it! Including, of course, James Bond.
And including, as Samantha (good quote Wendy! :D taught us.... men as a sexual object!

Of course women think that too! Why, don't you have this feeling when you see and enjoy some nice buns, or nice byceps, or a washboard stomach? (so ok, if you combine those with a great face, class, charm, and sensitivity, and great acting skills you get Hugh Jackman. But we're talking about sexual objects here, not the perfect man! lol [censored])
On the way we talk about it... well well, it really depends, doesn't it? :(
I would say that women tend to get into details much further than men do in general, and especially on this sort of subject. But most women will never admit it! yet, Sex and the City should've taught something to men! [censored]

To sum it up, Bond is as much of a woman's affair as it is a man's. The reason why we like it is that in Bond world women ARE equals to Bond, in skills, intelligence and dignity. But of course, maintain the prerogatives of women.. so we DO like to be saved by our Prince charming, even if then afterwards we decide to turn him into a mere sexual object!
That's the point.. Bond is half Prince Charming and half sexual object. Bond girls are half princesses and half sexual objects. How can it be more equal than this? It cannot. And well.. talk about a deadly combination here.
Women who have never been Babes have never had a chance to taste life at its fullest. [censored]
Or at least, they have missed out on some of its most entertaining parts. [censored]

Monique, I am THRILLED to have you here.. and you too Xenia! We're a fine group of Babes here [censored]
Ah Lady Rose.. we missed you! I felt relieved reading your post [censored]
And Joyce, your conversation with Bryce on the waiter had me ROTFL. Just wanted you guys to know. [censored]

Why, thank you, darling, I take that as a compliment!

By the way, about your mentioning Sex and the City in your previous post, I always found that men liked it more than women (at least, that is what my, rather limited I have to admit, statistics pointed out).

What about this Iliad thread? Do you think we should start it? Would anyone else be interested, or it would just be you and me?

On second thoughts, this doesn' t sound too bad....

Naughty again!
(good Mediterranean boy, way to go! lol :D)
oh yes, I'm sure men do enjoy sex and the city.. but really?? in your case more men than women? that is quite interesting actually... why didn't your female friends like it??
hmmm.. I take it the women couldn't learn the lessons, while the men were estatic at the only thought of trying them out??? LOL :D
on the Iliad thread.. I think it would be very, very interesting.. but I am afraid it would be sort of "difficult" to deal with for those who are not so strongly "classically trained" .
I mean here in Italy, and France, Greece and Spain, we spend years and years studying those poems because it's a very important part of our culture.. but elsewhere it's not the same thing, and I wouldn't want others to consider the thread a bit too specific or exclusionary??
Indeed it very much intrigues me to compare Achilles to Bond.. the first Bond existed. Or maybe.. was it Ulysse who was more like Bond? (a wife waiting at home??? err no, ok, wrong question! lol :D)
Ulysse can be Felix Leiter! :(
I don't know, we should find a way to make it easier to face for those who aren't that much into the Iliad. [censored]
BTW.. I re-watched Troy the other night... MAN, that movie does shake up my blood!! lol [censored]
Brad as Achilles is ENOUGH to make my mood turn from awful to Mary Poppins happy!! [censored]
were we talking about sexual objects somewhere here?? lol [censored]

I wanted to add more, I did think about adding you, but I was writing really late at night, and there were ideas I had about you and how to put you in, but perhaps the next story of mine may give you something very unique to do.

I knew the taking the shoes off bit would be a talking point.

If you do wonder what I writ and hit the cutting room floor, it was something like this:

BONDIAN ANGEL: DELETED SCENE: ALESSANDRA IN THE BACKSEAT OF THE ASTON.

As Alessandra took her shoes off, she also had a go driving the Aston, she liked to grip the pedals with her feet, the smooth interior felt silky as she brushed her feet against it, as she took her foot off the throttle pedal. Her toenails were painted gold, having known James had a fondness of the color ever since his experences with Mr Goldfinger many years ago. She flashed her gold painted toenails, the color making her feet even more elegant and luring to James then she thought possible.  James took his shocks off in the haze of Alessandra's warm display of feet.

But James socks made Alessandra laugh out loud while driving the Aston, because James was wearing Mickey Mouse socks.

"I must of brought the wrong pair and even then, lord knows where my mind was when I was getting dressed this morning, " James blushed and fainted to rest on Alessandra's golden painted feet.

thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
I am honoured to be in such a witty part of a Bond story.
It really is like me to laugh loud and go like "and what's with the socks??" or "so what were you thinking this morning when mickey mouse took possession of your feet??"
I would never let Bond (or any man) get away with the slightest wrong detail in his clothes (lol :D not that mickey mouse socks are a small DETAIL! tsk tsk James..)
That does sound like me.. except.. GOLDEN nail polish?! now ok, it serves the purpose of the story, I see your point!! but really NOT anything I would ever put on my nails! My nails only see nice, bright but not flashy, Chanel, Dior or Versace nail polish colours.
I love to have nail polish on my feet all the time btw.. how did you know?? (*Alessandra thinks about hidden microphones and cameras around her in paranoia* LOL :D)
And now.... can I know what happens next?? curious, curious, curious... DEADLY curious!

PS: I should be with Bond Jr remember?? better to point that out... I don't want to be daddy's mistress while I'm with the son! lol :( And least of all to steal my friend Wendy's man! :D

I thought the socks bit was amusing as soon as I thought it up, because it's Bond doing things we never expect, and I had this feeling it be something you would remark upon, you just don't expect it from Bond.

I thought the nail polish was also something we don't normally connect with Bond films, the only thing that comes to mind regarding anything about women's feet in Bond was Thunderball, when Connery's Bond offered slippers instead of a bath rope to that Bond girl who's just had a bath. Yet it wasn't showing anything, but it remains just a reference. The fact you like nail polishing and the way I writ that short Bondian Angel bit, must be some mystical writing on my part, it is kinda cool when things like that happen fit the person in you.

Well, I never writ the Bond with any particular age, he's Bond, but for your own purposes, he can be Bond jr in your head, while Wendy will see him as Dalton. Saves me from using any extra time I have to write.

I already have some nice ideas for the next story which will feature you and Dalton's Wendy. Taking Bond where he's never been before in:

The Opaque Times

Starring Dalton's Wendy, Alessandra and whoever you want as Ian Flemming's James Bond.

Music by John Barry. Story written by Sean at a night club with a lap top with creative consultant Timothy Dalton, a very drunk Timothy Dalton.

Probably true, but, as I wrote above, Englishmen have long been famous in sartorial circles for injecting a splash of colour into their wardrobe by the addition of outrageous socks.

I thought the nail polish was also something we don't normally connect with Bond films, the only thing that comes to mind regarding anything about women's feet in Bond was Thunderball, when Connery's Bond offered slippers instead of a bath rope to that Bond girl who's just had a bath.

A bath rope -- now that sounds like a scene I might enjoy!

Starring Dalton's Wendy, Alessandra and whoever you want as Ian Flemming's James Bond.

Dalton, Sean, Baby -- always Dalton!

Music by John Barry.  Story written by  Sean at a night club with a lap top with creative consultant Timothy Dalton, a very drunk Timothy Dalton.

I think this thread is so enjoyable because aside from the obvious charm of the subject (who isn't charmed by BABES?), the quality of those who participate is just "too hot to handle", right like a Babe! :D

Dreadful about being a sex object? What's wrong with being so dreadful about a sex object? (SOME THINGS)

well, if handled properly, a la James Bond, there's possibly something kinky about it, but no wrong! lol :D
I'm sure Timothy and Pierce can take care of the matter very well... or should we investigate the matter Wendy dear, and BABES?

Well, as soon as I saw the word "juicy" my attention span increased dramatically.

Thank you, Moore Not Less! Welcome to "BABES ON BOND"!

Now: since you are (were?) here, the topic on the floor at present is What's So Dreadful About Being A Sexual Object?

There's plenty dreadful afoot if the woman in question keeps objecting to sex!

Nice topic Wendy and Allsandra.

I think women should express their thoughts on Bond.  I mean their personal like reviews and such on Bond. Hey Wendy CHHERS FOR TIM DALTON AS 007. :D

Thank you so much for the kind words, Pierce James Bond, my dear friend, and welcome to CBn -- and to "Babes on Bond"!

Your second comment gives me pause for thought: maybe I should, indeed, post my review of The Living Daylights. However, I originally wrote this review for THE TIMOTHY DALTON CHAT GROUP, so it just might be a little prejudiced . . .

But . . . y'know something? Guys just might enjoy reading how a woman approaches a Bond movie.

I shall give the matter some thought . . .

He's right in some aspects.

AND AGAIN WENDY CHEERS TO TIMOTHY DALTON AS 007. I'll drink a vodka martini to that one.

:D

He may be, but see my post below.

But meanwhile, Pierce James Bond . . . perhaps you might consider changing your agents' name to TIMOTHY James Bond?

Too tired to read all the background posts, so if this is not a serious question, my apologies, for giving a serious response
No one wants to be an object. I love male attention, but I hate being treated like a piece of a**.
I find it very exciting when a man likes the way I look AND the way I think. Or at least acknowledges that I DO think.

I think sex would be a bore if the man in question had no interest in me except for my appearance.

BRILLIANT riposte, WELSHCAT, Baby!

However -- if she's going to keep objecting, then find someone else! :D

I speak strictly of relations between consenting adults. As Canada's late Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau (a former acquaintance of mine) famously said:

"The state has no business in the bedrooms of the nation."

(Conversely, by the way, the nation has no business in the bedrooms of the state -- but that's another discussion!)
