I don't really agree. Maybe it's just a matter of perspective, but 2 hrs, 30 minutes doesn't qualify as an "epic" runtime in my book. 3 hrs? Then we're talking. 2 hrs, 30 minutes is long, but it's not in the LORD OF THE RINGS/LAWRENCE OF ARABIA/THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY/GODFATHER PART II category.Epic runtime.
What we've got is only about 15 minutes longer than BEGINS and 10 minutes longer than CASINO ROYALE, and the same length as SUPERMAN RETURNS and a lot of the Harry Potter flicks. Sounds like a fairly standard running time for a lot of the entertainment coming out these days. I don't get why there's suddenly all this internet chatter about THE DARK KNIGHT being unbearably long.

Everything that's coming out from TDK is looking excellent. I'm really looking forward to the interrogation scene.
I'm very much looking forward to this scene as well. If it turns out to be as good as the little footage of it that we've seen and the photos would indicate, it should turn out to be a classic scene.

This Interrogation definitely looks like a highlight of DK, I expect to see 2 talented actors giving it their all. I expect Heath to blow me away but lets not forget Bale he acting with a thick disguising costume on, for me he really managed to convey Batman's personality through the suit in Begins and I expect him to raise his game especially up against what looks to be a truly incendiary take of the Joker from Ledger.
Lets not forget Hopkins may have got all the plaudits for Silence Of the Lambs and his charismatic turn but for my money it was Foster that truly delivered the highlight performance of that film and quitely steals the film from an actor who has undoubtedly done better work before and after his career defining turn in Lambs.

It'll be fine. $350 mil, maybe $400 mil, domestic. A good time will be had by all and Ledger's Joker will live forever.
That he will. The bond between actor and character has been broken. His Joker is now a character to himself, freely roaming in the universe created in TDK.

Everytime I hear the Joker laugh, I think the same thing.Another good one. Ledger's take on the Joker laugh is pitch-perfect.

Still though, I'm amazed they would release a scene from the film, especially since most of us have already seen the first six minutes of the film. It's quite contradictory to the secretive nature of filmmaking that Nolan and company seemed to have following the BEGINS script leak four years ago.

On the other hand, the majority of the official movie sites just blast the video clips and other content right at you.

You can hear clips from the Zimmer/Howard score for THE DARK KNIGHT here:
The Dark Knight Soundtrack
I am sorry but this is still a below par score like the last movie, repetitive and dull.

I'll reserve judgment until I can hear the whole score, as well as hear it in context. The little 30 second clips aren't enough.

Judging from the clips, I'd agree with you. Much of it sounds like it came straight out of BEGINS (which had a terribly generic and forgettable score).I am sorry but this is still a below par score like the last movie, repetitive and dull. You can hear clips from the Zimmer/Howard score for THE DARK KNIGHT here:

Nothing like keeping the movie buzz moving full steam ahead. Just enough to keep you wanting more (& I do).http://www.whysoserious.com/myhero/

That is true. They are just clips but they are enough to say they keep in the same style of Begins.

Agreed. These clips just can't do the full score justice at the moment.

I'm very curious to know what the full version of the Joker's theme will sound like.
