This poster could have a deeper meaning if it comes out that Joker's smile, is the result of a stray batarang or something like that. Seeing as the 'smile' in the poster is a Bat logo, and usually it is that the Joker blames Batman for 'making him'.

Batman-On-Film has posted a review of the sneak peek (held last night in certain cities) of the 7 minute, TDK "Prologue" that will be shown with IMAX versions of "I am Legend" starting the 14th. It is, apparently, the first 7 minutes or so of the film. The reaction has been nothing short of "Oh my God!!!!"
Sounds quite promising.

I'm leaning towards it being genuine, and even though I don't like it quite as much as the genius "Wall Teaser," it's still eye-catching (even if it is fan art). Although it would seem more fitting that he's standing on the roof, rather than inside.
Perhaps it's inside one of the Wayne skyscrapers. Or the place he's taken up residence in whilst the Batcave is being rebuilt. Or Hong Kong. Or the mansion that Christopher Nolan will own after this film makes boatloads of cash. Either way, very curious.

Awful quality, but it'll do till we get an official one (probably tomorrow at some point). Heath Ledger's Joker continues to astound, and the action looks infinitely better than what we were handed in BEGINS. That said, it's clear that the trailer is leaving out the really good bits, as Nolan likes to do.

This will most certainly be the best Batman film yet.

I'm finding that it's hard not to love anything we've heard about the film so far.

Oh, just for Jim's sake, I thought I'd post that Nolan confirmed the running time would be about the same as BEGINS. So Jim, no need to worry about three hours in the movie theatre.
Damn. Need to find another excuse.
I don't like purple much. Will this do?

The 6 minutes of footage I saw tonight, by the way, was...astounding. One image from it has been playing in my mind for the past three hours, and I doubt it will stop anytime soon.

I saw the trailer in front of I Am Legend last night. It looked & sounded incredible.
Agreed. The first shot of the Joker's face got a few gasps from nearby people in the audience.

Heath Ledger appears to completely own the character of the Joker, and he could end up turning in one of the truly great performances in a comic book film adaptation.
I heartily agree with you, sir.

I was wondering how you'd feel about it. Glad you liked it.IMO, the trailer was very good.
If the performance is consistently of the caliber of what we saw on display there, he's going to be one of the great screen villains. That's great stuff right there... it's like looking pure evil in the face.Heath Ledger appears to completely own the character of the Joker, and he could end up turning in one of the truly great performances in a comic book film adaptation.
And we still haven't seen any of Eckhart's Two-Face, which I have great hopes for. Eckhart is a truly fantastic actor, and Two-Face is one of the great characters in the Batman mythos. His origin, the great tragedy of the DC universe, carries so much dramatic weight. If Nolan pulls that element off, and I imagine that he will, THE DARK KNIGHT will be something really phenomenal... a blockbuster with pathos.
Yeah, I'd assume about a year is right. It'll be on DVD in time for next Christmas, maybe even as early as November.I'm not sure whether or not I'll go to see this one in the theater, but I'll definitely be eagerly awaiting this one about a year (I would assume) when it arrives on DVD.

I am very interested to see what Eckhart is going to do with his role, but I also hope that they do a good job of really building up the Harvey Dent character before transforming him into Two-Face. Just from looking at the film as a casual observer (i.e. someone who is not actively following the production of the film), you would be hard pressed to know that Eckhart is in the film and that he's playing Harvey Dent. I think that they really need to start focusing a bit on his involvement in the film, especially since we've now seen a lot of the Joker with the new trailer, and I would like to not see too much more of him until the film is released as to have the rest of his involvement in the movie be a surprise. But, I think that, with the next trailer, that Eckhart needs to start being given more publicity.
