It may be mind numbingly obvious, but there is a sense of professionalism in writing out the full location. It is an espionage film after all.

This is indeed sad news. Most of the f/x crew on Batman also work on the Bond films. They still haven't released the name. My deepest sympathies to those who knew this person. :cooltongue:

Harms, those are some amazing pictures! I'm really looking forward to TDK! Although from the looks of those pics, TDK looks much lighter in terms of the atmosphere. Don't see much of the dark, shadowy scenes. But yes, these are only a select few pictures of what could be a (what?) 3-hour movie, if I've been reading the last page or so of this thread correctly. So I'm sure we'll see a great deal of the dark and gloomy Gotham.

I must say that Ledger looks really good as the Joker! The costume and make-up really seem to gel with Nolan's 'realistic' take on Batman. Ledger's performance is probably the biggest thing I'm anticipating about TDK. From what we hear of his voice in the teaser, he sounds great! Even though that may not be his true voice as it sounds like he's mocking another person (Dent, perhaps?). I'm sure he'll both sound and look absolutely menacing. A true Clown Prince of Crime!

Although I would really love to see TDK be more of an adaptation of THE KILLING JOKE, I wouldn't mind at all if this were more in vein of THE LONG HALLOWEEN (for the Dent/Two-Face transition). Both are great comics! Even though I would much rather have the Two-Face story be in its own separate film (as to avoid a crowded film with too many villains, too many storylines as Two-Face's story is a deep one, I think), I'm confident in Nolan's ability. So far, everything he's done has been :cooltongue: No worries here!

The Joker looks insane. Can't wait to see Heath's twisted Mr. J wreak havoc across Gotham.

SWEET!!! From what I've seen so far of Heath Leadger's Joker, I think he's going to give Jack Nicholson's Joker a serious run for the money!! This is going to be a kick-[censored] movie!! Can't wait!! :P :D

I wouldn't necessarily take that Latino Review story as rock-solid. I don't think it adds up, and Latino Review's track record with DARK KNIGHT scoops has been really dubious.

Whether it's 100% accurate or not, it does sound like it could be a pretty cool opening for the character.

Pft, we should know by now not to take LR's word on anything unless it's casting news, which they are usually correct when they get news on that sort of thing.

But anyway, is anyone else seeing "I Am Legend" in IMAX just to see TDK featurette?

Oh, don't get me wrong...

Oh, and to make this post even longer, TDK had finished filming and has entered post-production.

For 65, he looks incredibly good and I don't want him to play a 49-55ish Indy anyway.I want Indy to be comfortable in his skin at 65...and he is still the world's #1 archeologist...Anyway, I haven't enjoyed Harrison's work the last 18 or so years but as Indy he's at his best and it seems ridiculous to me for him to have ran away from Indy all these years...

I disagree. Hell, you could have told me that this one was from THE LAST CRUSADE and I wouldn't have blinked an eye.

Indiana Jones is age 56 in INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF CRYSTAL SKULL. :D

Back on topic, Ledger's Joker looks awesome. I'm quite a fan of that picture, and can't wait for the 8-min IMAX DARK KNIGHT prologue that will debut with I AM LEGEND.

56??? why? Then they should do an Indy 5 in 2-3 years and have it set in 1967...I agree with you about that one outdoor pic.And he looks 56 for sure in that one...too bad they never did an Indy set in 1945...be cool to see him in several decades and the set, costume transitions... :D

This is looking to be THE best Joker yet.

I am sure Joker has his purple trenchcoat on when he is spreading confusion and fear on the streets.

I've been avoiding this thread to avoid spoilers, but that Joker does look like one well-defaced psycho. Hopefully a million children whose parents though they were taking them to a 'superhero film' will be crying themselves to sleep on opening night.
