I expected my Broncos to experience a bump in the road in Foxborough...but not losing by 22 points! Still though, I'm already planning for the rematch come January and for the AFC Champ game to again be in Denver..there is still a lot of game left! Remember, Denver lost in New England last year and the way things worked, we had home field advantage..But we'll see..

I think this year's team is more balanced than last year's. I expected NE will drop at least one more game and finish 13-3, especially with a brutal 5 game stretch upcoming. But I also see at least one more loss in Denver's future as well. My belief is that this year, NE will nab the #1 seed. That said, how important is the #1 seed? That last AFC 1 seed to win the Super Bowl was the Patriots....in 2003.

The Broncos will return the favor come playoff time, I have no doubt about that.

Anyone else beginning to think that week 13's Packers-Patriots game could be a potential Super Bowl preview?

Well, based upon the play of the Pats and Packers this week, Seawolf, I'd say you could be right!! Looks like my Broncos might be heading for a potential disaster in a early playoff exit, based on how s**tty we played against the Rams yesterday... With no running game, our O-line still questionable, almost to the point where we may actually sign "Bully" Incognito, Julius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders banged up, no Ronnie Hillman, etc.., it's a very clouded future I'm seeing for the rest of the season.. Oh well, still a lot of games left and hopefully we can get back on track this week at home when the Miami Dolphins come visiting..

I'm getting a bit more optimistic about my Chiefs' chances at the division now. Trap game at the Faiders this Thursday, but then TEN DAYS to prepare for Manning and Co. at Arrowhead. The Sunday after Thanksgiving will be very interesting indeed!

Don't give up on the Broncos just yet, Dove. 4 years ago, GB was left for dead after falling to 8-6 after their loss (barely and without Rodgers) to the Patriots. They responded with 6 straight wins including Super Bowl XLV. The Packers and Patriots may very well end up playing on Super Bowl Sunday (I'd love that, my AFC team vs. my NFC team ), but there's still a lot of football left to be played until then. The Packers are still technically the 5th seed in the NFC. The Seahawks and 49ers are going through struggles, but they're aren't going away. The AFC North is a bloodbath. We may get another sub.500 team in the postseason and remember what happened last time (hint: Beast Mode). The Cowboys are flying high. Denver still has Peyton. Philly still has McCoy. New England looks virtually unbeatable. Green Bay is scoring points at will. The Arizona Cardinals.....THE ARIZONA CARDINALS!!!!! could host the Super Bowl. This has been one of the best seasons in a long time and we've still got a long way to go.

Indeed Seawolf..I'm feeling more optimistic today, as you're right about there being lots of games still to play. Anything can still happen! I'm also glad to see Billy Bob's Chiefs beat the reeling Seahawks so there is some comfort in that too..lol!

My thoughts for the city of Buffalo and it's people to just be safe and stay warm!! 8 feet of snow is absolutely stupid and the fact that Bills and NFL would even consider trying to plow and clear Ralph Wilson Stadium of 220,000 TONS of snow so that they can get their game in with the Jets on time is just absurd! If the team can't even get out of their own homes and with the team having to cancel TWO days of practice, no doubt the game has got to be postponed or, as it appears now, moved to another location at a later date. As much as I would love to see a good ol' fashioned snow game (we had one last year with the Eagles and Lions), safety of the city and its inhabitants should be priority.

Agreed Dove. I'll bet the Bills are kicking themselves for suspending their Toronto game until next season... this would have been the perfect week for it!

It's going to be quite humorous when the Jets lose to a team that didn't practice all week. Only a pathetic franchise like New York could pull that off.
In all honesty, they should host the game at MetLife Stadium and have the Bills be the home team. At this point, everyone in the stadium would be rooting for the Bills anyway, so it would feel much more like a home game than playing it at either Ford Field or FedEx Field.

Agreed. Bad weather makes for some of the craziest and best games (The Ice Bowl, The Fog Bowl), however, this is just ridiculous. The good news is, that the game has officially been moved. As far as I know, this is a rarity too. The only other game I remember being postponed was the Vikings-Giants game from a few years ago, when the Metrodome's roof collapsed (coincidently also because of snow).

well my Cardinals got beat yesterday in a Defensive showdown. final score looked worse than it was. Had Jaron Brown not dropped a ball in the end zone right before half time it would have been 9-7.
No Fitzgerald, no Palmer makes thing's difficult.

The big loss is Palmer. In today's NFL, you can't compete without a top-flight QB. 3 weeks ago, ARI might have have had a legitimate chance against the like of GB, NE, SEA etc., but like you said life is difficult with Palmer. It's been fun watching ARI shock everyone this year, unfortunately (and I am genuinely saddened by this as I was rooting for the Cardinals to win the NFC West) I believe it is going to be a slow and agonizing death for the 2014 Cardinals.

yeah well...i think 10 games is the most they've ever won in Arizona so if they can win 2 more and get in the playoffs that's a big deal . Going into the season losing so many defensive players i would have bet for 8 wins Tops, so it's still great.

I can see them still winning the division, but not much else. That stems from having a 2 game lead and still a very stout defense. But honestly, and this has happened to other teams as well ('86 Bears, '05 Bengals, '13 Packers, '08 Patriots). When teams lose their QB, it doesn't bode well. It's very, very rare that there just happens to be a Tom Brady waiting to take over. It's really a shame for the Cardinals and well as Palmer who was having his best year since he blew out his ACL with Cinci (ironically, that '05 Bengals team).

Great showing by the Jets tonight. Only that sorry excuse for a "franchise" could lose by 35 points to a team that didn't practice all week.
Tomorrow morning, the entire coaching staff and front office staff need to be relieved of their jobs and Woody Johnson needs to simply fold up shop and fold the franchise. The Jets, as a franchise, are done. Goodell needs to revoke their membership to the NFL and seek to get an expansion team in either London or Los Angeles.

Rodgers 26 Brady 21. Sorry, I mean Packers 26 Patriots 21. That was a great example of what football should be. The game's best QBs, two evenly matched teams, power running and below freezing temperatures. Had the game been in Foxborough, the Pats may have won. It's a shame that we won't get to see Rodgers against Brady the way we have with Brady and Manning. That said, that may have only been part 1. The final battle may be waged in the desert in February. If it is, and this game was any indication, we are in for helluva Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, it's amazing what can happen when Denver actually has a solid running game so Manning doesn't have to throw the ball 60 times a game.. Wow! What a performance from CJ Anderson.. 168 rushing yards... Sorry Billy Bob..don't worry, the Chiefs are still in the hunt for the Wild Card and can surprise anyone at anytime..Also, looks like Oakland's 1 game winning streak came crashing down BIG time..losing 52-0 to St. Louis..OUCH! LOL..

Not worrying, just not caring anymore... How inept can an offense be?!? We exposed ourselves as a terrible team who got lucky there for a month or two. Here's to once again missing the playoffs...

Watch the Jets play. It makes every other offense look like '07 Patriots, plus it'll make you feel much better about your team's offensive unit.

Truth... but I'd rather have Mike Vick than Alice Smith right about now...

Funny, because I think most Jets fans would flip that around and say they'd rather have Smith than Vick.
Every team goes through some kind of a slump during the season. Look at the Patriots earlier in the year and then the Broncos just a couple of weeks ago, and even the Packers at the beginning of the season as well. The Chiefs will right the ship. There's too much talent on that team for them not to.

This is just the life of a Chiefs fan... they get your hopes up year after year, only to screw the pooch and leave you not caring about football in mid-December...
And I truly miss the days of watching Martyball with my grandfather:
1st down: Run the ball.
2nd down: Run the ball.
3rd down: Now, wait a minute! Look at the scoreboard. Are you winning? If so, run the ball. Are you losing or tied? Two options: 1) More than 5 yards to go? Pass the ball.
2) 5 yards or less to go? RUN THE BALL.
Fire Andy Reid, hire Brian Schottenheimer, make him use his dad's old playbook, Billy Bob is happy.

Trust me, as a Jets fan who has watched Brian Schottenheimer "coordinate" offense for good while, you don't want him coaching your team. He can't develop QBs and he relies on an overly intricate scheme that asks its QB to make far too many reads and audibles at the line of scrimmage.

Admittedly, I think the Chiefs were overachieving this year. They are a team in rebuilding mode, albeit a far better one than most. I don't think 10-6 is out of the realm of possibility. While they may miss the postseason this year, KC has huge potential for the future.

The Chiefs will be fine. There's plenty of talent there, and if you can have the kind of season that they're having while supposedly being in "rebuilding" mode, then things are going OK for your franchise.

I owe you, seawolf and Dove an apology, tdalton. First day back at work after 5 days off plus two straight losses made me lose my cool a bit. The nuclear reactor has been tended to and realistic expectations have prevailed Lots of football left!

No apology necessiary, Billy Bob! I can totally feel your frustration.. You should see me whenever the Rockies take the diamond during MLB season or, up until recently, the Nuggets take the court..I'm still pissed at the front office firing George Karl..
