Hope is restored in Chiefs Kingdom! Dove, that was the most complete game I've seen my boys play in many a year. I'm still on quite the emotional high this afternoon :) And, unity in Pats dislike is something I fully support, tdalton.

There's nothing wrong with enjoying a win like that, so get as much out of it as you can. I know that I'd probably walk around with a smile on my face for a good solid week if the Jets pounded the Pats like that.

Luckily for the Jets, they're somehow only a single game out of first place in the putrid AFC East, thanks to the Bills, Dolphins, and Patriots being tied for first at 2-2. They need to do something to create some kind of a spark because if they can somehow steal a win this weekend against San Diego, then there's actually hope for them to get back into the race for the division. They'll get pounded by the Broncos the week after that, but suddenly that game with the Pats the following week isn't all that intimidating. They seriously need to look at trading for a receiver, much like they did in '09 when they acquired Braylon Edwards in season, and then try to make a run for the division. Neither wild card is coming from the AFC East, but somewhere between 7-9 and 9-7 could certainly win this division as bad as everybody looks through the first four weeks.

I'll be keeping an eye on your boys this week, as KC plays the Chargers next week. I know Denver will end up winning the West, but a wildcard spot for the Chiefs now seems very attainable. And your AFC East analysis is spot on. If the Jets step up this week, the remaining 11/12 games for that entire division become quite interesting.

I'd be fairly surprised if the Chiefs didn't get one of the wild card spots.  It'll be a good battle between them, San Diego, Baltimore, and maybe Pittsburgh or Houston.  The entire AFC East, though, won't factor into that race, regardless of where the teams currently stand in the conference standings.

Oh, slight correction: we play SD in TWO weeks, not next week... the bye week slipped my mind.

Ahh..there appears to be more dysfunction going on with the Pats than we were led to believe.. :P  And trust me, if it was me, I'd certainly do more than mouth off to Josh McDumbass, er.. McDaniels..(Sorry, I still have terrifying memories and repressed anger of when he was the Broncos' head coach from '08-mid 2010...*insert Homer Simpson shudder*)

So the wheels coming off in Patriot-land, eh?  Looks like the AFC-W is finally back on top where we should be!  One of us has gotta make it to the Super Bowl.  Maybe even win it for the gipper.

I'm going to postulate that McDouchebag's name has effectively been permanently stricken from the annals of Bronco history.  I'm kinda surprised one of his current players hasn't ripped his head off and s**t down his throat!

GO BRONCOS...and BRING BACK TEBOW  :D

What the f$%k??!! Congratulations Elway... McManus is an okay kicker but NO way can we rely on him to make a 50+ yard field goal to win a game at the last minute.. It'll be just our luck if Prater signs with a team that we have to face in the playoffs..

Well, that was embarrassing.

Although it should be John Idzik being the one to lose his job tomorrow instead of Rex (who has been given nothing to work with since he took the 2010 team to the AFC Championship Game), I guess we'll probably see Rex fired tomorrow after this stellar collection of subpar talent put together by John Idzik failed to look anything like a football team today.

Well, anyway, all I can say heading into tonight's game is:  Go Bengals!

It's also nice to see that we still haven't heard anything from Roger Goodell with the exception of that pathetic press conference that was designed solely for the reason of insulting our collective intelligence. The NFL owners as a collective whole should be ashamed of themselves. Goodell must be fired.

Ouch!! Sorry to see your Jets get schlacked, tidalton.. If Ryan is indeed going with Geno Smith again next week, no doubt he needs to be gone after the season..

Meanwhile, yes folks I was there in person today at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver to witness Peyton throw his 500th TD to Julius Thomas as we routed the Cardinals, 41-20.. The TD happened literally about 30-40 feet away from where I was sitting in the corner of the North end zone!! Incredible day for #18.. 479 yards, 4TDs, 2 picks though..

Ryan doesn't have a choice.  He's the only head coach in the league who doesn't have the authority from ownership to decide the starting quarterback.  He has in-game authority to make a change if things aren't going well, like he did today by benching Geno at halftime in favor of Vick, but it's a "group" decision otherwise that is, more than likely, made by John Idzik.

That's how disfunctional the Jets are.  They have a fantastic head coach who has, when given the tools to succeed, done very well for the franchise.  GMs Tannenbaum and Idzik have, since the end of the 2010 season, gutted the roster to the point that no coach could lead this team to victories.  Sadly, even if Rex manages to avoid being fired tomorrow, he won't last more than two weeks after that.  We're going to be absolutely annihilated at home by the Broncos, and then will most likley face a similar fate the following Thursday night in Foxboro against the Pats.

Anyway, congratulations on Manning.  I wouldn't rule it out that he passes Favre for the most TD passes of all time next week against New York.

So I guess everyone overreacted to the situation in Foxborough. Outside of everything that is still Tom Brady under center with Belichick still on the sidelines. They'll be fine, besides it is the AFC East after all.

Well, congrats to the Broncos.  It must be nice to root for a team that, even when they play far below their capability, they still manage to win by two touchdowns.  Still, nice game by Denver, and Peyton inches closer to passing Brett Favre's touchdown record.

One thing has become clear at this point in the season.  The Jets have no talent on this roster.  John Idzik must be fired.

Tough one, tdalton.... The Jets certainly showed some fight and made it a respectable game, as opposed to last week's San Diego disaster (somewhere, our resident Chargers fan, Tarl_Cabot, is still glowing..probably even more so after the win over the suddenly fighting Raiders yesterday). I'm glad to see that Eric Decker, when he's healthy, can be a valuable weapon to the Jets' offense.. Meanwhile, I'm actually glad P. Manning saved the 3 TDs he needs to break Favre's record, til this week in Denver when the 49ers come to visit on Sunday night.

We really need to figure out what is going though. The Cowboys have won 5 straight and Tony Romo is playing like an elite quarterback. At the same time, the Kansas City Royals are on the verge of advancing to the World Series. I don't know what's right anymore. Up is down, left is right. I'm so confused.

Thanks.  It actually wasn't a particularly difficult game to watch.  I actually came away pleasantly surprised, given that I expected to watch a game that rivaled the Falcons-Bucs game from a couple weeks ago for the biggest blowout of the season.  The fact that they actually clawed their way back into it at least helps the situation.  If Rex can keep this team competitive, then the spotlight will start shining brighter on John Idzik, who somehow managed to put together a worse roster than the one we had last year, that Rex did a phenomenal job of coaching to 8-8.  I think that if Rex can keep this team competitive, even if they go 1-15 or 2-14, then he could end up doing the franchise a favor (even if he's ultimately fired) by exposing Idzik as the incompetent hack that he is.

Hats off to the Jets tonight (seriously).  They played well.  Then again, they still lost the game, but that's pretty much a given because they're the Jets.  Still, they played well.  It's just a shame that John Idzik couldn't do his job and put together a receiving corps or a defensive backfield that is better than what you'd find on a high school JV squad.

1-6.  What a season.  At least we know we'll be in the running to screw up the 1st overall pick come next May.  I bet Marcus Mariota has many sleepless nights knowing that there's a very real possibility that he could be the Jets starting QB next season.  I know that would be enough to give me insomnia if I were in a similar position.

Man, if only the Jets hadn't wasted two of their time-outs in the 3rd quarter. If nothing else, tdalton, the Jets certainly exposed New England's poor run defense and that their O-line still has chinks in its armor.. I'm sure other teams will be devouring the film when they have to play the Patriots in coming weeks..

I do think the Pats were exposed a little last night.  If you give up that much time of possession and that many rushing yards (218) to what is one of the three worst teams in the league, then there's something wrong.  The Pats will make the playoffs, because the division is the worst in football, but they'll have some serious trouble winning once they get there.  The defense, without Mayo, is going to struggle to stop the run, and if you're giving up 25 points to the Jets, how many points are you going to give up to an actual NFL offense?

The Packers appear to have figured things out both on offense and more importantly on defense. At 5-2, they look like genuine Super Bowl contenders. Rodgers seems to be in the midst of another MVP season and if the defense keeps up this high level of play, they are going to be scary.

I'm impressed with my Chiefs this week. Beating the 5-1 Chargers in San Diego for the first time since 2007, Charles becoming the all-time leading rusher in franchise history, and our rookie kicker hitting a game winner in a big time situation. Even at 3-3, I'm still highly optimistic about the rest of the season!
