If the Cowboys do get involved, I think that puts it down between the Jets and Cowboys, as I can't see the Cardinals entering the financial stratosphere that the Jets and Cowboys will take this thing to in order to land Manning, and the Dolphins might not want to go that high either since they can take Matt Flynn, whose OC in Green Bay is now the head coach in Miami, at a much cheaper price and then surround him with better talent.
I think the teams that make the most sense, of the ones that ESPN has been discussing ad nauseum since yesterday, are the Cardinals and Jets (and I'm not including them because I'm a fan of the team, although I'd be ecstatic if they managed to land him). Reggie Wayne is probably going to go wherever Manning does, if there's cap room, so the idea of Reggie Wayne and Larry Fitzgerald teaming up with Manning in the desert would make them an instant contender.
The Jets are said to be very much interested in resigning Braylon Edwards and there's a lot of rumors out there that they're interested in Vincent Jackson as well. They can get Edwards at a bargain price, perhaps even the minimum, and teaming him, Santonio Holmes, along with either Jackson or Wayne with Manning throwing them the ball, that's an almost unbeatable combo. Even if they don't get Jackson or Wayne, Manning would still be throwing to the same receiving corps that took the Jets to two AFC Championship games with Mark Sanchez throwing them the ball. Add into that Jeremy Kerley, who would become a star in the NFL under Manning's tutiledge, and the Jets would be primed for their first Super Bowl appearance since 1969.

I don't really see Dallas being involved in this at all.
This is from the Denver Post. Peyton Manning will be in Denver tonight visiting with the Broncos, according to two NFL sources.
This is getting serious, folks.
Manning, arguably the most decorated free agent in NFL history, has the Broncos on his short list. The long-time Indianapolis Colts quarterback was released earlier this week amid concerns about his neck, a $26 million bonus payment and the team's opportunity to select highly prized quarterback Andrew Luck with the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
Manning, 35, has been cleared to throw by his neck specıalıst, Dr. Robert Watkins. One NFL source said Manning will also visit the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins after visiting with the Broncos. A source said Manning would like to make a decision by Tuesday, the first day of free agency.
Broncos vice president of football operations John Elway, coach John Fox and general manager Brian Xanders are currently in Stillwater, Okla., watching the Oklahoma State pro day workout that features quarterback Brandon Weeden.
The Broncos have the No. 25 pick in the draft, plus the 25th selection in the second round. Weeden, who turns 29 in October, is considered the second-best passer to Luck in the draft. He is projected to be chosen between the Broncos' top two picks.
Manning will turn 36 in two weeks.
Personally I think Manning going to Denver would be a mistake. Denver is obviously looking for a quick, short term fix instead of looking at the long term. Sitting behind Manning for 2-3 years would do no good for Tebow.

Personaly, I really do think that if the Broncos could get Manning to have Tebow sit behind and learn from, that would be a very good scenario. Manning only has say about 3 years left so if Tebow can sit, learn and gain from watching a PROVEN winning QB, then he'll be ready to take the team once Manning finally hangs it up.

And one Mr. P. Manning is beginning his tour of interested teams in....*drum roll please*...Denver!! HAH! I love it.. Ok, so it's really a get-to-know-the-area and team and facilities visit..nothing about contract negotiations.. Leave it to a former Colt QB pick, drafted in 1983 in John Elway, who was traded to Denver, to try and woo ANOTHER former Colt QB in Manning to Denver.

Agree with all, Dove. Manning will carve up the AFC West defenses. Let's keep our fingers crossed on this longshot! GO BRONCOS

While I was fairly confident that they would never land Peyton Manning, they needed to at least try to use that as a motivational tool for Sanchez, who has performed better when threatened with benching by Rex Ryan over his three years as the QB. This was also a contract year for Sanchez, a year in which most players have their best seasons of production, and now the Jets have taken both of those motivational factors away from Sanchez, who will most likely now continue to plateau like he did last season.
The Jets have proved with this deal that they value personal feelings and friendships for players over their bottom-line performance, which is the sign of a bad franchise. They like Mark Sanchez as a person, and that's not a bad thing as he seems like a cool enough guy to hang out with, but he's done nothing to prove that he is the future of the franchise as he heads into what would have been the final season of his rookie contract.

draft Robert Griffin III and it cost them a boat load. The Redskins traded their first and second round draft choices this year as well as their 2013 & 2014 first round draft picks to move up to the #2 draft spot this year. Mike Shanahan has a lot riding on whoever they draft at #2.

The Washington Redskins have made the deal with the St.Louis Rams to draft up and presumably

This is just another case of the ineptitude of the Washington Redskins leadership shining through. The fact that they gave up 3 first-round picks for a rookie QB shows how incompetent they are as a franchise. This will be the move that ultimately gets Mike Shanahan fired in a season or two.

Meanwhile, there is that QB fella, Peyton Manning.. The Texans backed out, Can't imagine the Dolphins have much of a shot for his services with them trading away Brandon Marshall, The Titans have a visit from him scheduled for tomorrow..but I'm still hearing out of Denver that the Broncos are one of the top two places he desires the most.. Dear, Tim Tebow, it was fun while it lasted but I think Jacksonville needs your services!

Eddie Royal to Chargers is a bit weird, right? His first couple seasons were pretty good, but after that kinda flat. Maybe he will be reinvigorated here in San Diego. In his press conference he was praising the San Diego coaching staff...right, the Chargers are known for their great coaches over the years! Good one, Eddie.
Hoping the Peyton decision gets announced today so we can either celebrate or move on. I bet he is having a difficult time making the call. Tennessee is a better fit as a home for him and his family, but Denver is a more interesting team and is in a better position to dominate their division and get to the playoffs.
