The Oakland Raiders fired coach Hue Jackson..Can I say I'm not surprised with how badly mismanaged that organization is?? Boy, just when that team seems to get a good thing going they change coaches and slip right down to the bottom again. Well 8-8 wasn't that great, plus they ONCE AGAIN set NFL records for being the MOST penalized team in the league..LOL! But seriously, this bodes well for the Chiefs, Chargers and Broncos next season..

The Jacksonville Jaguars hired former Bills coach, Mike Mularkey to replace Jack Del Rio..hmm.. not a sexy pick by any means, but he does have a track record of turning around bad teams.

The Faiders and Chefs probably won't be much of a threat next year. If San Diego had made coaching changes I would be worried about them, but they are sticking with mediocrity. So, the Broncos and Chargers should be able to duke it out for the AFC-W next season.

Time for predictions

Saints over 49ers
Patriots over Broncos
Ravens over Texans
Packers over Giants

The only one i'm locked on is Saints over 49ers. I wouldn't mind seeing any of the other 3 games go the other way.

Let's see if I can improve on my excellent 1-3 record from last week:

Saints over 49ers
Patriots over Broncos
Ravens over Texans
Packers over Giants

Now lets just hope the Ravens can knock out the Patriots.

With the Saints out the only teams that slightly interest me are the Ravens & the Giants. The AFC has been represented by three teams the last 5 or 6 years. Colts,Patriots & Steelers. Here's hoping for something different.

Well, at least I improved in my picks this week, going from 1-3 to a stellar 2-2.

Hopefully San Francisco can beat New York next week, otherwise I don't know if I'll be able to stomach watching the Super Bowl.

Although they lost, the Saints showed a lot of heart in a loss-unlike another team in Louisiana who shall remain nameless.

San Francisco vs Baltimore

I agree that this is probably what it will end up being, and hopefully it's a better game than their first meeting on Thanksgiving night. That was one of the most boring games I've seen in a while.

I'm hoping we get a rematch from Super Bowl 35. Ravens vs. Giants.

The Giants have the second best offense of the 4 teams remaining. As I said i'd like a littler something different with the team that represents the AFC hence my pick of the Ravens and the 49ers bore me beyond belief! Hence my pick of the Giants.

Here's hoping.

Greg Williams has left the Saints to be the DC of the Rams.

Note to the Dolphins-Bill Cowher is still available. Shell out the money and hire him already!

Looks like I won't be watching the Super Bowl unless I can somehow talk myself into rooting for the Patriots. As a Jets fan, there couldn't have been a worse Super Bowl matchup to have to suffer through. :(

Oh man..my heart goes out to Ravens' kicker, Billy Cundiff..he must be feeling exactly like former Bills' kicker, Scott Norwood. And I also give top props to BOTH Coaches Harbaugh..Must have been tough for their parents to see BOTH John and Jim have their teams knocked out of the playoffs.. Great seasons for the 49ers and Ravens..they will be back.

It's definitely going to be a long offseason for us Jets fans. The Jets collapse this season coupled with the Super Bowl matchup we're facing has me wondering why I even bother with the NFL anymore. Being an NFL fan is simply an exercise in seeing how many new ways one can be disappointed year in and year out.

The only thing that has me looking forward to next season with any sliver of optimism is that the Jets' offense should be better next year with a new identity that should match the team's personnel more than the offense that we've seen the past six years or so.

I'm from Cleveland, so my Super Bowl ritual is to cheer for the team that isn't the Steelers. But in this case both teams aren't the Steelers, so I don't know who to cheer for.

Down in NOLA they love Archie as he did a lot of good for the city of New Orleans. As far as Peyton and Eli, I agree. They left LA as soon as they could. They haven't done anything for us down here like staying in state to go to college. Go Patriots!

I can't believe I'm about to say this, as I feel as though I'm betraying my Jets and my near 20 years of football fanship, but I'll be rooting for the Patriots on Sunday. Never thought I'd live to see the day I pulled for the Patriots, but unbelievably that day has arrived.
