I would just like to point out that the Lions are undefeated.

(Always wanted to say that. :cooltongue: )

The Lions are still undefeated! Of course, they managed to blow a huge lead, going into the fourth quarter 23-0 and ending the game 23-20, but they still won.

31-20..Cowboys put a whooping on my Broncos the other day!!! We were FREAKIN' awful!! Our offense was pathetic, our special teams sucked and worst of all our defense looked like it was made of swiss cheese the way they let Marion Barber run all over us!!! WTF?? At this point our second and third stringers look better than our first team!! Worst of all we had some serious injuries.. Ebenezer Ekuban is out for the year with a torn Achilles, running back Travis Henry has a knee sprain that could keep him out for a few weeks, back up running back Mike Bell has a hip injury and the list goes on and on.. Oh man this does not look good!! :cooltongue:

I don't think Michael Vick will make it to the Superbowl this year...he just pled guilty to the charges.

There will undoubtedly still be some in this town who think Vick is innocent and a victim despite his plea.

Nevermind the Superbowl he might not be doing anything anytime soon. In my opinion his reputation is now permanently ruined. But he really had no choice with all the others invovled in the case pleading there guilt to a degree. But i'm glad he plead guilty because in my mind he is.I'm a pet lover so this whole situation makes me angry.

Bengals vs Eagles? I'll give you points for originality.I think it has to be SD, the Pats, the Colts again(not really) or The Saints...but...I love the Saints in the NFC-they are gonna be miles ahead of every other NFC team nmho. Their Offense will be even better with a improving Regge Bush and Robert Meachem, Drew Brees even more comfortable in the system...I thought you were a Saints guy????

Little story about the Saints. In the 2001 season, many 'experts' felt the Saints could be the best team in the NFC. We had a 1st year coach take us to the playoffs, knock off the defending SB Champs in the playoffs, and looked to be the best team in a wide open conference. Then this team collapsed. Look, I am a realist, I have hopes, but am not optimistic. The Saints cannot stop the run, and have other issues on defense as well as Special Teams. For the first time ever, the talent is here, but we were lucky with injuries last year, and to tempt fate twice in as many years is making me cautious. On Sept 6, we will see if the Saints are as good as we are told-or if they are just the same old flash in the pan Saints we have seen for many years.

But you never had a set of 'triplets' before. Brees,Bush and Meachem...and Colsten...make that quadruplets. I think the Saints are marching to the SB. The Colts made it last yr with a very leaky D...you gotta believe!

True bill, but I must say I was not encouraged by our lousy performace against Cleveland!! Losing 17-16 at home agains the Browns is not a good sign.. Our first team still needs a lot of improvement. Oh well, like you said, paitience is a virtue..

By the way, I heard on Sunday Night Football last night that the Broncos are one of a couple of teams who have initiated talks with recently cut Eagle, Jeramiah Trotter! Wouldn't it be nice if we could land him? :cooltongue:

I'll make an attempt to predict the Super Bowl again this season, but I know that I'll probably be very far off, as I usually am on my Super Bowl guesses.

AFC:
East: Patriots
South: Colts
North: Ravens
West: Chargers
Wild Cards: Steelers, Broncos

NFC:
East: Cowboys
South: Saints
North: Bears
West: 49ers
Wild Cards: Seahawks, Eagles

Patriots vs. Saints in the Super Bowl, with the Patriots winning.

Wow!! What an exciting Week 1 we've had so far in the NFL.. My Broncos had a wild and crazy last second (literally!!) field goal to beat the Buffalo Bills 15-14 (sorry Qwerty, buy I am very impressed with your Bills this year, especailly Marshawn Lynch!! and your defense looks good too!!). However the game was marred by a very serious injury to Bills TE Kevin Everret who suffered a vicious collision with Broncos returner Dominck Hixon and had to be taken to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery for a cervical spinal injury!! Latest word is that he has incomplete paralsis, but its still too early to say how bad it is.. Just awful!! My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family!!

WOW Two very exciting games last night between the Bengals and Ravens and 49ers and Cardinals !! I'm impressed with Alex Smith and the 49ers, infact they are one of my surprise teams I'm picking this year to go into the playoffs. As for Arizona, they shot themselves in the foot with too many freaking penalities and bad decisions by Matt Leinart.

In other news, Bills TE Kevin Everret's injury is catastrophic.. He most likely will never walk again and the injury is life threatening!! Oh man, this is just heartbreaking!! My thoughts and prayers go out to him his family and the Buffalo Bills organization.. :cooltongue:

Not really. The Pats have the 49ers 1st rounder as well next season, so they can make up for it there. They are the most talented team in the NFL, but if they are forced to work at a lower cap number (As they should be for what they did) then and only then will the Pats really suffer.

Hah!! While my Red Sox lost to the damn Yankees (again!!), I was delighted to see the Patriots (who I also root for) cream the SD Chargers! Sorry, Tarl_!! but personally i think LT should have kept his big mouth shut with that comment he made about the Patriots' mantra being if you're not cheating you're not trying!!

In other news my Broncos had another nail-biting finish against the Oakland Raiders 23-20 in OT. But we never should have let them come from a 17-3 defecit. Thank god Shanahan had the perfect timing to call time out just before Janikowski's 50 yard field goal would have won it for the Raiders. Take two, and Janikowski doinked it off the top of the goal post!! :cooltongue:

Oakland got robbed with that late timeout, The Dove; I thought that was bs but lucky you. As for SD, yeah, they got clobbered all right! :cooltongue: But that's a game weren't not suppose to win, especially after Tape-Gate.Still, 1-1 vs the SB Bears and AFC champ finalists...I'm not panicking yet but that offense needs to start clicking ASAP. The Saints are doing much worse on O than the Bolts and I expected them to be 1-1.

Yeah Tarl, I'm actually more concerned with how bad the Saints are looking at the moment. SD will get on track.. I guess you and I have our first show down in three weeks!  Can't wait that will be exciting!! In the meantime, as I've said before, the Broncos need to find a way score more touchdowns.. We can't keep relying on Jason Elam to win it for us.. we have some tough games ahead.. Jacksonville this week at home, then Indianapolis, in Indy!! *GULP* and then the Chargers come to town.. By the way Tarl, I love the new Chargers uniforms.. very stylish!!

What the hell were those ugly uniforms that the Eagles wore yesterday? LOL..

Oh man, Denver got plain out embarrassed at home by those stinkin' Jacksonville Jaguars 23-14!! :cooltongue: Of course it doesn't help that the Jags had the ball on offense for most of the freakin first half!! Denver only got like 3 offensive plays in the first quarter!!. On the other hand, our defense was absolutely terrible!! We couldn't stop Maurice Jones-Drew, or Fred Taylor while on our side, Travis Henry only got 35 yards total!! Wow.. we are in trouble.. Next week, a visit to Indy to take on Peyton Manning and those pesky Colts!! *GULP!!*

Those were the 1933 throwback uniforms, and apparently they worked quite well. My Lions actually looked like the Lions yesterday.
