What the hell were those ugly uniforms that the Eagles wore yesterday? LOL..

Oh man, Denver got plain out embarrassed at home by those stinkin' Jacksonville Jaguars 23-14!! :cooltongue: Of course it doesn't help that the Jags had the ball on offense for most of the freakin first half!! Denver only got like 3 offensive plays in the first quarter!!. On the other hand, our defense was absolutely terrible!! We couldn't stop Maurice Jones-Drew, or Fred Taylor while on our side, Travis Henry only got 35 yards total!! Wow.. we are in trouble.. Next week, a visit to Indy to take on Peyton Manning and those pesky Colts!! *GULP!!*

I was at the game SD-GB yesterday and it was a great game!! Too bad we lost.
But Rivers played very well(completing first 15 passes, 3 tds,27-33 for 306 yards) despite the pick late...I think they're on track to do well over the next few weeks. :)

Still, Lambeau was an experience. I'd reccomend to anyone to go to an away game sometime. There were tons of SD fans there which was surprising. :D

To everyone's surprise but me, the Saints are 0-3.

The bad news-Duece McCallister is done for the season, and may have played his last game as a Saint. I have follwed him eversince he was a freshman at Ole Miss where he helped lead the Rebs to 3 straight wins over LSU while he was there. A great man and a great player, I wish him the best, and hope for a quick recovery.

Too bad hcmv, wow! I feel awful for your poor Saints! and losing the Deuce for the rest of the season, ain't helping matters at all!! I was a believer in New Orleans being true contenders this year..

Other news, Lovie Smith FINALLY benched Rex (Wrecks!) Grossman and is going with Brian Griese for next week's game..

Whats with all the recent temper tantrums being thrown in the NFL? First Stephen Jackson of the St. Louis Rams has a sideline rant.. next that fool DeAngelo Hall of the Falcons blew his team's chances of a victory over the Panthers by acrewing 67 yards in penalties for blowing his top and screaming at a ref, slapping Steve Smith of the Panthers and then he takes his frustrations out on poor Bobby Petrino! (I'll bet he really regrets leaving Louisville to take the Atlanta coaching position!). Finally Larry Johnson of the KC Chiefs, who has been virtually non-exsistant in his rushing yards, calls out Herm Edwards' coaching calls..

Wow! Honestly can't we all just get along? LOL :cooltongue:

Yeah, the Saints not getting anyone new on the O or D lines is killing them this year. NOW you all know why I am down on the Saints, who better beat Carolina. Petrino is better off with the Falcons-L'ville is not getting it done this year-you think he knew something? Norv Turner is looking like the wrong guy in SD (Sorry Tarl!), and they choked big time yesterday. Firing Schottenheimer was SUCH a good move, AJ! Well, Brett Favre is the new touchdown man in the NFL-until Peyton Manning gets a hold of it.

So Bears fans-want Rex now?

Wow i didn't expect the Chargers to be doing so bad.But then again i always thought Norv Turner was a bad head coach.

Being a Dolphins fan, I am familiar with Griese. I'll say that he is an okay backup- that is it. The Bears had to bench Rex, but they now see that they have no answer at QB long term. Briese may play better next week and keep the Bears from sinking to say, 6-10 but not much else. They need to draft or get a free agent Qb this off season.

I'm a huge Marino fan- congrats to Favre, btw. But since I'm a huge Marino fan I will say that if Marino played every game like Favre, the mark would be around 450.

Chargers. Bad situation. AJ Smith screwed it up many many ways. First, Marty should not have been fired after going 14-2 and losing to NE due to a fumble and a missed FG. That said, if he wanted to fire Marty, he should have done it quickly and the Chargers could have kept Cameron or Wade Phillips. Instead, you pick Norv Turner.

Well my Broncos got their [censored] kicked (again!!!) by those pesky Colts!! But on the bright side, we finally saw life in our running game so thats encouraging.. We get to take on the hapless Chargers next week in Denver..but right now its all about the Colorado Rockies!!! YESSS!! I am still in disbelief after their miracle finish to the season and beating the Padres to get the NL Wild Card.

By the way regarding the Chargers, Tarl, I hate to say I told you so, but it really looks like the loss of Schottenheimer has really hurt your team. AJ Smith has [censored]ed up big time and he should be fired! I'm not totaly blaming Norv Turner, he has done some good things as a head coach with the Skins, but really if your a 14-2 team and you already lose your two top quality cooordinators it really doesn't help losing your head coach at the same time too!! Anyways, I look forward to our first meeting next weekend!!

I completely agree (and have said so previously on this board).

But, I just got a thought. Let's try to look (and think) at the other side. Firing Marty means that he is not responsible for the 14-2; it was the talent all along that was riding him. So, that would mean these players don't really need a good coach, just not Marty who is obviously (to some misguided people) a loser. So, with Norv, who is not Marty, the talent would take over and the Super Bowl was coming!!!! Which leads to this:

How much blame goes to the players for this 1-3 start? Are they not as good as we thought?

By the way, whats going wrong with the Cincinnati Bengals??!!! Too many injuries, too much bickering between Palmer and Johnson (boy the sparks were flying on the sideline the other night!!) Hard to believe that they are in last place and the Cleveland Browns are doing much better!! RichmondSpy, your thoughts on your team, just out of interest?

Okay, I had to take a few days to calm down, but I am still very upset by the pathetic performance the Broncos had against Tarl's SD Chargers. Congrats by the way Tarl. I would have congratulated you sooner but I needed to chug down quite a few mojitos and beers to wash down my pride! LOL :D 41-3...41 to [censored]ING 3 lousy points!!! :P The worst home loss for the Broncos since You Only Live Twice was in production in 1966!!! WTF?? LOL Where's my fellow Bronco buddy Bill? I'd love to know your thoughs on this schlacking!! LOL.. Anyways things continue to get worse for Denver. Center Tom Nalen and receiver Nate Jackson are out for the rest of the year with torn biceps and a torn groin.. Oy vey!! :D Oh well, at least I can root for the Colorado Rockies!!! WOO HOO!! :D B)

Man what is it with this NFL season? Practically every CBN member's team have suffered major injuries or have not gotten off to great starts.. My Broncos are horrible, hcmv's Saints are even more shocking, RichmondSpy's Bengals are collapsing (and they just suspended Jonathan Joseph for a game for substance abuse!), Johnboy's Eagles are flimsy,Mike00Spy's Dolphins are still looking for their first win and the list goes on and on..

Too much ego? Maybe? Hard to believe a 1st Round exit and a bunch of 8-8's would breed any such thing, but I can't really point to anything else. I don't think our D is that bad...we just haven't been playing up to our potential on both sides of the ball.

I look for a 2nd half turnaround, but even that would just be another 8-8 season. Also, I think Marvin is getting sick of us...

It's officialy heartbreak weekend for the state of Colorado.. First the Rockies get smashed badly in the World Series, and last night Favre and the Green Bay Packers added insult to injury killing the Broncos 16 [censored]in' seconds into overtime with an 82 yard TD pass to Greg Jennings!!! :D I've almost given up hope for our sports teams now...my last hope is that the Denver Nuggets can do something special this season.

Tarl, Congrats on your Chargers providing an uplifting win in difficult circumstances, much needed to raise the spirits of the people of San Diego. By the way again, I hope that you didn't have any family or friends lose their homes in the horrible fire!!

YAY!!! New England for beating those damn Colts 24-20 in Indy!!! :D That was about the only thing I had to smile about.. well also got a small glimmer of joy seeing Adrian Peterson and the Vikings trounce the Chargers!!.. as for my Broncos, they freakin' SUCK!!! 44-7...44 to [censored]in' 7 points to the Detroit Lions!!! :P Plus Jay Cutler was knocked out of the game with an injury to his leg *crossing fingers the MRI doesn't show anything serious*. A rusty Patrick Ramsey came on in relief of Cutler and did so so, but had two terrible interceptions, one of them he threw right to the big fella, Detroit's Shawn Rogers who huffed and puffed his way down the field for a touchdown. No John Lynch again, No Javon Walker, Travis Henry got banged up again, Brandon Marshall was limping around too.. I'm ready to pronouce our season over.. See you guys in '08.. I'm gonna focus my attention on the Denver Nuggets!!

Well the Saints are back to the Madden style video game offense i can make them look like when I play them.

What a game b/t Indy and New England! I have not been so riveted to a game like that (in the NFL) in a looooonnnngggg time!

And Tarl-glad to know you were okay during the fires. I can sympathize with all of those affected, hopefully it will be a long time before a bad thing like that happens again.

Don't be so sure that Indy could not beat NE. Not having Marvin Harrison and a left tackle makes a huge difference in the gmae- How didfferent would the last 10 min be if Manning wans't under pressure + had Harrison to throw to. Let's not forget they lost a TD in the 4th quarter b/c of a dropped pass.

Even if the game is in NE, the Colts are now built for that type of weather- strong running game and defense. It will be better than the eventual Super Bowl. The cycle has been completed, eh? Remember all those 49er Cowboys games back in the early 90s that were always better than the following Super Bowls?

Boy was I squirming last night. :D The Bolts offense was lousy for the second straight week but they have a new super star: Antonio Cromartie....In three weeks he has scored 3 TDs(one for a record 109 yards) and has 6 ints(!). He should be on offense asap as a deep threat wr.You can never have too many 'Antonios' on your team.

Nice win Tarl! :P :D Technically I should have been wanting the Colts to win, so that there would be a three way tie for 1st place in the AFC West, but since I absoultly hate the Colts and love to see the rare loss for them, I was a San Diego fan last night!! Quite an exciting game!!

Broncos got a HUGE win, knocking off the Chiefs AT Arrowhead, where we haven't won since 2002, 27-11.. I'm impressed, especially since we have so many players out with injuries. Our rookie running back, Selvin Young, who filled in for Travis Henry, looked great!! I hope this means a turn of fortune for our season!! :D
