Ok,ok Rex isn't so bad but sheesh! This terror paranioa is getting ri-god damn-diculous!
Agreed on Saints. They will do better than the Browns.
I don't think AZ will be a surprise. I expect them to be pretty good. A 'suprise' will be the Rams or any non Bear NFC north team.

Saints vs Cowboys tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!
Duece is back, and Reggie will be wearing the right shoes! And best of all, no TO!
I know this may sound bad, but I would love to get a cheap shot on that SOB!
Watched the games I could, talk about a licky turn for Favre, the double player TD catch was awesome! Seattle's run defense needs a lot of work, and the Chiefs look and LJ look overrated to me. San Diego needs a big play WR, as it will be 8 in the box and stop whomever the Chargers have in the backfield-best NFL depth at RB IMO.
Here's my predictions. For why I went the way i did, go to daltonswendy.com
AFC Division Champs (top 2 have homefield advantage)
North-Steelers (1)
South-Colts (2)
East-Pats
West-Broncos
Wild Card Matchups
Pats vs Browns-Patriots advance
Broncos vs Jaguars-Jags advance
AFC Divisional Playoffs
Colts vs Jags-Jags advance to Title Game
Steelers vs Patriots-Steelers advance to Title Game
2006 AFC Champs-Pittsburgh Steelers
NFC Division Champs
North-Bears
South-Panthers (1)
East-Redskins
West-Seahawks (2)
Wild Card
Redskins vs Falcons-Redskins advance
Bears vs Cowboys-Cowboys advance
Divisional Playoffs
Redskins vs Seahawks-Redskins advance
Cowboys vs Panthers-Panthers Advance
2006 NFC Champs-Carolina Panthers
Super Bowl XLI-Carolina vs Pittsburgh
Super Bowl XLI Champions-Carolina Panthers
SD's 2nd yr WR Vincent Jackson(The Dove knows who who is-colorado guy) is coming on strong just wait and see;he's 6'5 and can run and has nice hands. Browns? Over SD,KC or Cincy?
I went to the Bears-SD game...it wasn't terribly interesting but Rivers showed me something: He did a nice roll out to his left under pressure and hit a guy on to make a first down. I didn't think he was that athletic so I feel good about him despite the pic for a TD. And if LT goes down we are covered!
Maybe. But I think your Chargers showed that they need a lot of work. If Tomlinson goes down, I think the Chargers will do fine. Bar None, the Bolts have the best depth at TB in the NFL.
Browns? BROWNS?
Look, the Browns are going to be much better. Winslow is finally healthy, the running game is coming along, and the defense is a lot better. I think the Bengals have issues off the field that could cloud them.
Browns? BROWNS?
The only BOWL the Browns will end up in is the Toilet Bowl!
Seriously, The Ravens will be much better with McNair...
I do not think so. Ravens have no good WR, but Clayton seems to be developing. Remeber this franchise got rid of a QB that took them to the SB, but yes, I will take McNair anyday over Boller
that's a bummer, sorry. I hope jay Cutler is playing by then and Jake The Mistake Plummer is on the sidleines waiting for his pink slip.
Having seen Cutler play in person, ever DC in the SEC knew he would make a helluva QB. Expect Cutler to reign in 07.

Personally I'd think the New Orleans Saints would have a better shot at getting to the playoffs than the Cleveland Browns.. but you never know, hcmv!! My surprise team this year would be the Arizona Cardinals..
Technical difficulties. Sorry!
Here's the Saints formula:
Bad O-Line + Bad Defense(Watching Dallas pick them apart right now)= 6-10
Agree with you on the Cards, they should be fun, but miy choice is the Lions. Don't laugh, they could have a winning record.

And, after seeing the Saints-Cowboys game last night, I might have been a little hasty on my New Orleans prediction, hcmv! It will take some time for them to get it together, but I feel once they do, they might turn a few heads.
Detroit also has potential.. They've finaly learnt to stop wasting all their draft picks on receivers!! Two of their former #1s, Charles Rogers and Mike Williams have not lived up to expectations and have dropped considerably on the depth chart.

Re: Lions. They are my surprise pick in the NFC as what I like to call my turnaround team. I think they are not better than Da Bears, but better than the Pack and the Vikings.
So Dove, you guys got rid of Lelie, sending him to Atlanta in a 3 way trade involving Redskins, who pick up TJ Duckett. I say good move, but the details i got are etchy. IMO, Denver got rid of a negative influence in the locker room.
If Stephen Davis is healthy, Philly should sign him. What worries me is he left w/out a contract offer, which tells me the knee is not fully healed. If the Eagles do land him, and he is healthy, the NFC East will be the wildest division in the NFL, no doubt.

In other news, the T.O. Saga draggs on in Dallas Cowboys camp!! Owens has re-aggrivated his hamstring and now his readyness for the opening game is in doubt!! Parcells certainly hasn't been thrilled with T.O blabbing to the media.. nothing real serious, though I have a feeling that its a ticking time bomb waiting to blow up!!

Yes, Ashley Lelie is now an Atlanta Falcon.. No worries though, we have about six or seven quality receivers who can back up Rod Smith and Javon Walker (expecially this new kid, David Kircus!!).

Reading what Lelie has had to give up made me think of just how selfish some of today's players are, do I feel sorry for him? Nope. He cost himself well over a million dollars and is not going to get what he feels he deserves. I don't think he'll be the #3 guy for the Falcons. Welcome to mediocrity, Ashley Lelie, population you.
TO-I would love it if Parcells just cut him. It would be an F--- you to Owens and to Jerry Jones who brought in this circus freak. I know Johnboy is glad to be rid of that cancer. Just like he hurt the Eagles, and 49ers, he will hurt Dallas.
2 weeks away until it all begins!

NEWSFLASH!! (not really much of a surprise I guess!!): Terrell Owens has been fined $ 9,500 by the Cowboys for skipping a team meeting, missing a rehab session and for being late to another offensive team session.. Here we go.. The downfall of the Dallas Cowboys has been set in motion!! lol..

How desparate are the Raiders getting?? They re-signed Jeff George at QB and he hasn't thrown a pass in 5 years!! A tell-tell sign that all is NOT well with Aaron Brooks!.. First they bring in a coach who has been out of the league since 1994 (no disrespect meant to Art Shell), and now they bring back an aging QB who hasn't played since 2001!!
In other news, Curtis Martin and Priest Holmes were put on the Physically Unable to Perform lists by the Jets and Chiefs, respectivly. This could very well signal the end of their careers. Holmes still has not been medicaly cleared to play by doctors after suffering serious neck injury and Martin's knee has practicaly no cartilage left... Kind of a sad way for two great backs to go out..
Oh and Kerry Collins signed with Tennessee..this could mean trouble for Billy Volek!!

Bengals looked great last night, while sadly Brett Favre and the Packers look awful.. picking up right where they left off last season!!

Agree all the way on your top 2 papragraphs, Dove! While a lot of attention and lip service is being given to George being brought in b/c of Andrew Walters, I think it is more of a lack of confidence in Aaron Brooks. I am surprised the Titans waited this late to bring in Collins, but this just spells more bad news for my boy Matt Mauck, who led us to the National Championship back in 2003.
With Curtis Martin, Priest Holmes and Marshall Faulk's careers most likely over, a great era of NFL RB's comes to an end. My hats off to them-best of luck in whatever they decide to do. With most of today's athlete's getting in trouble, these men were class acts both on and off the field.
Saints trade Donte Stallworth to the Eagles for a back up LB. Bad move, but the Eagles get the better of the deal. Stallworth was a 1st rd choice, and the Aints give him up for a backup LB. I predict Stallworth will have 100 receptions and at least 1000 yds recieving with 8 TD's. I still think Philly needs RB help, but this should push them around 8-8 or 9-7 by adding Donte.

1) Pitt over Miami
2) TB over Baltimore
3) NO over Cleveland
4) Carolina over ATL
5) Seattle over Detroit
6) Eagles over Texans
7) Jets over Titans
8) Bengals over KC - I will probably pick Cincy every week.
9) Denver over StL
10) NE over Buffalo
11) Dallas over Jax - with T.O. maybe not starting...this one may change
12) Chicago over GB
13) Cards over SF
14) Indy over Giants
15) Washington over Minnesota
16) SD over Oakland
I went with my gut on most and against it on others...I hated picking against the Dolphins since they're every analyst's darling this season.

New England vs. Dallas (or, as the media will hype it, Belichik vs. Parcells )
