Just a reminder, I have created a Football Pick'em group on Yahoo! for CBn members. We have 3 so far. To join the group just go to this website: http://football.fant...ahoo.com/pickem and join group ID# 262. The password is: fleming

P.S: This is completely free, but you will need a Yahoo! ID (its also free and only takes a minute or so) The limit is 50 (the max limit available)...I'd be thrilled to come even close to that though. Any questions? Just send me a PM. Thanks!

Well with the Hall of Fame game last night, the pre-season has officialy begun!! The game was only so-so last night, I was impressed by the Eagles first teamers, but I was SO glad to have Al and John back together in the booth for NBC. Its great to finally have football back again!! Denver plays the Detroit Lions on friday as our first pre-season game, and VERY exciting news today from our training camp... Jay Cutler has surpassed Bradlee Van Pelt to become the #2 Quarterback behind Jake Plummer!! Also we have a new starting running back..undrafted rookie Mike Bell has made the first team over Ron Dayne and Tatum Bell!! I guess this kid has really made an impression in camp. Go Broncos!! :) :P

You know it is gettin to be that time when T.O. is back in the news. More than likely going to miss the first preseason game, is it? Good to see things are back to normal. :)

I guess the first-team was okay.

Fortunately missed everything beyond that. :)

The Raiders looked awful! Maybe they passed on Matt Lienart because they fancy Brady Quinn and it certainly looks like he's gonna have a shot at Silver and Black. :)

Jay Cutler will be # 1 in Denver by week 8...it's inevitable. :P

:) lol.. Yeah the Raiders did not look impressive to me either, Tarl! Looks like L.T. and the Chargers will have a blast running through and racking up yards against that defense of Oakland.

Another Bengal got arrested today...will it ever stop? It isn't looking very bright this year for the defending AFC North Champs, even though Palmer is increasing his practicing (which is probably 10 times more significant than any of the arrests)...

By the way, I encourage every CBn Football fan to join the Yahoo! Pick'em League we have going on. Johnboy007, The Dove and I have been in it for awhile. Go to this website to join: http://football.fant...ahoo.com/pickem and join group ID# 262. The password is: fleming

Man I truly feel sad for this guy.. Ever since that Fiesta Bowl championship, he has done absolutely nothing right and his life has gone to hell.. Now with this latest arrest, he has reached rock bottom. Also, I just heard a report on ESPN that when Clarett was in Broncos training camp, it is very likely that he smuggled in bottles of vodka into the locker room and kept dissappearing between workouts to go "get his Goose on" (as in Grey Goose vodka) :) He also got into a shouting match with a strength / conditioning coach and was so pompous about wanting this coach to be fired, or he would demand a trade to another team.....and all this was before Maurice had even signed a contract with Denver!!! Sad, Sad, Sad...

Thank god we got rid of this cancer.. I think I would have preferred Terrel Owens as a Bronco! :P

I actually think T.O will have a relatively quiet season with regards to controversy although it hasn't started out that way. The media is obsessed with T.O., so maybe that is why this stuff at training camp has been overblown. I'm sure I'll be eating these words in just a few months...

At least he's not doing sit-ups in his front yard. Have to agree that this thing is seriously overblown.

Isn't it interesting that only now does he have hamstring troubles?

Dallas better like being on the road, TO will cost them the East, mark my words.

I hope you all have heard the TO song on http://www.terrellowens.com/

It will start playing once you go to the site...just give it a few seconds...

Any reason to think he won't be doing sit-ups in his driveway by mid-October?

Drew who? :)

Hey Dove, I thought Jay Cutler looked pretty sharp...they should just cut Plummer now! :P

Lol..umm NO Tarl, that might be a little premature!! what with how badly Bradlee Van Pelt is doing, we might want to keep Plummer a little while longer.. we need at least one veteran to mold and shape Cutler.. But yeah, he was impressive.. :)

Phillip Rivers looked good to me as well, and it looks like Junior Seau is going to retire as a San Diego Charger.. bet that makes you happy, Tarl!! He was a great linebacker!

The Bengals looked good tonight, Richmond Spy!! I think Anthony Wright is capable of leading the offence until Carson Palmer is ready to return to the helm.. Loved Chad Johnson's new mohawk and gold earings!!

As for the Redskins, they have A LOT of work to do, especially now with the injury to Clinton Portis!! :)

I was relieved to see Wright play well enough to where maybe they don't rush Palmer back.

Saints vs Cowboys tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!

Duece is back, and Reggie will be wearing the right shoes! And best of all, no TO!

I know this may sound bad, but I would love to get a cheap shot on that SOB!

Watched the games I could, talk about a licky turn for Favre, the double player TD catch was awesome! Seattle's run defense needs a lot of work, and the Chiefs look and LJ look overrated to me. San Diego needs a big play WR, as it will be 8 in the box and stop whomever the Chargers have in the backfield-best NFL depth at RB IMO.

Here's my predictions. For why I went the way i did, go to daltonswendy.com

AFC Division Champs (top 2 have homefield advantage)

North-Steelers (1)
South-Colts (2)
East-Pats
West-Broncos

Wild Card Matchups

Pats vs Browns-Patriots advance
Broncos vs Jaguars-Jags advance

AFC Divisional Playoffs

Colts vs Jags-Jags advance to Title Game
Steelers vs Patriots-Steelers advance to Title Game

2006 AFC Champs-Pittsburgh Steelers

NFC Division Champs

North-Bears
South-Panthers (1)
East-Redskins
West-Seahawks (2)

Wild Card

Redskins vs Falcons-Redskins advance
Bears vs Cowboys-Cowboys advance

Divisional Playoffs

Redskins vs Seahawks-Redskins advance
Cowboys vs Panthers-Panthers Advance

2006 NFC Champs-Carolina Panthers

Super Bowl XLI-Carolina vs Pittsburgh

Super Bowl XLI Champions-Carolina Panthers

SD's 2nd yr WR Vincent Jackson(The Dove knows who who is-colorado guy) is coming on strong just wait and see;he's 6'5 and can run and has nice hands. Browns? Over SD,KC or Cincy? :)

I went to the Bears-SD game...it wasn't terribly interesting but Rivers showed me something: He did a nice roll out to his left under pressure and hit a guy on to make a first down. I didn't think he was that athletic so I feel good about him despite the pic for a TD. And if LT goes down we are covered! :P :P

Personally I'd think the New Orleans Saints would have a better shot at getting to the playoffs than the Cleveland Browns.. but you never know, hcmv!! My surprise team this year would be the Arizona Cardinals..

Glad you had fun at the Bears/ Chargers game, Tarl! :)
