So close to Christmas, I feel greedy buying myself a movie, but I found THE LIMEY today at K-Mart for $3.99. And it's a respectable edition, too. Haven't actually seen it, but between my love for crime/revenge movies and Soderbergh's stylings, I think it'll be well worth the purchase.

Thats a lot. Probably more than what I buy in one year. I did notice Desperate Housewives Season 5 on your list and it so happens I just bought Season One since I have become a pretty big fan of the show recently after watching re-runs on TV.

Ordered The Shield Season 2 online. Had to be done after seeing the excellent first season. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Also bought Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince as one of my g/f's xmas presents. We saw it at the cinema a while back and I guess I thought it was watchable.

It's good. The animation is excellent & there are some great lines. One of those laugh out loud moments was seeing Han after they pull him out of the carbon freezing chamber.

Angels and Demons. Watched it via Netflix the other night. Enjoyed it so much when out and got the BD today. FAR Superior to DaVinci Code, IMO.

Valkyrie (2008)

This purchase was long overdue. Might not be a everyone's cup of tea, but for me, it's a lot of fun. Very enjoyable.

I liked it too. Nice touch incorporating the Consuela character. Very funny. ("oh, nooo, nooo, nooo, ...youuuuu do it")

I received a $25 Amazon gift certificate for Xmas and bought myself Volume 1 of the Bond sets. I really wanted TLD and DAF, and since GF was in there, I thought it'd be a nice one (the only other one I have is Vol. 3), and I guess I'll take TMWTGG and TWINE over nothing . . .

I also recently (within the past 3-4 months) have purchased:

Moonlighting Season 1 & 2 (oh, how I loved that show as a child)
King of the Hill Seasons 4 & 5
Parks and Recreation Season 1
Thunderball
Licence to Kill (this and Thunderball were $5, couldn't pass them up)
Casino Royale
Mad Men seasons 1 & 2
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

. . .

DVD:
. . .
Desperate Houewives Series 5
. . .

I'm going to do a bit of a shameless plug here, since I happened to see that. I write recaps of Desperate Housewives for TVGasm.com if you're interested. And I have to say that Season 5? Worst. Season. Ever. Poke fun if you will, but seasons 1-3 were brilliant (season 2 was spotty sometimes), and season 4 was almost there. But Season 5 . . . yeowza. Not fun.

You're picking up QOS before CR? For shame. My latest DVD purchases were these:

2046
BARRY LYNDON
BRAZIL
FOLLOWING
IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE

All very lovely additions to my collection. Three of them, in my estimation, qualify for true-blue masterpiece status, and the other two are still quite impressive. Can't wait to sit down and revisit them all.

So you finally got your hands on a copy of Barry Lyndon which I remember you couldn't watch it because none of the libraries around you had it. Smart purchases in my book and anyone who buys QoS before CR has my pitty since CR is not only the better movie but has a better DVD set.

Well, I already own CR:UE. I held out on a QOS purchase for the Blu-Ray player.

But, there is no doubt that at least a few of my UE discs will be getting the upgrade to Blu and CR will be among the first in line.
