The new two-disc special edition of ROCKY, one of my favourite films. Was initially reluctant to be shaken down yet again by yet another so-called special edition re-re-re-release, but this one is right up there with the Bond UEs in being worth every penny, with some great commentaries and special features, as well as, if I'm not mistaken, cleaned-up image quality on the main feature.

Hopefully the sequels will receive similar great DVD treatment and a decent box set of all six films will be with us before this year is out.

24 (TV show) Behind the Scenes; The Editing Process. I'm a junkie for behind the scenes stuff.

My mom saw a whole load of good DVDs on discount the other day, they were about US $7 each so my family had a bit of a shopping spree I guess!

Note: Those with a ! were voted in favor by me (sometimes others too!), those w/o it somebody else wanted.

Alias Season 5. Even though I've seen it already, the first episode is so sad. At least I know things will turn out OK in the end.

Have you followed all of Alias, Tiin007?

IMO, Seasons 3-5 are a lot weaker than the first two seasons. :cooltongue:

Of course I've followed all of Alias. My favorite TV show of all time. Own all the DVDs. I've seen every episode in seasons 1-4 at least 5 times and am completely obsessed. My favorite season is 2. What's yours, Joyce?

The last DVD I bought was the new Doctor Who box set, New Beginnings. Before that, I think it was Burst Angel volume five. And I think I'll probably get the third Mobile Suit Gundam Seed next (really need to get a speed on with that series...)

I just bought Chinatown. It's easily one of the best movies ever made. Jack Nicholson's a damn genius, as is Polanski's directing.
