I love that movie. I only wish I could find the soundtrack.Lawrence of Arabia Special Edition.
...Only a few minutes of it and I already am positively shocked by the sheer magnificency of this movie.
I just used a gift card to buy Conan: The Complete Quest (both movies), and Coming To America.

Loved SII:TRDC, with the Brando scenes and the other scenes put back in. I'd heard about all these scene before, of course, but it was awesome to finally see them and get an idea of how it was intended to be. Although it really just leaves you thinking "what might have been" had Donner been allowed to complete his vision of SII back in the day.
The theatrical SII is decent in it's own right (save for the lack of Brando, the fact that they seem to be making up the powers as the go along (beams coming out of fingers, cellophane 'S', etc), and those wacky Richard Lester comedy moments) as a fun fast paced action flick, but damn, Donner's SII, as the second half of a two-part epic myth, with the same tone as SI, would really have been something.

The ROCKY Special Edition.
Me too! I had a load of vouchers from Christmas so I bought the Rocky Collection and Rebel Without a Cause as well as Nightfire and Superman Returns for my XBox 360 (both games were something of a disappointment even if they had redeeming features). The films were great, but I haven't gotten around to watching the Rocky sequels yet, because I've still been quite busy watching my Bond UEs.

Barnes and Noble had a "Buy One TV DVD Set, Get One Free" offer. Saved $50.
That's unusually generous of them.

I'd have thought there'd be a four- or five- (depending on whether MANHUNTER is to be considered part of the franchise) film box set later this year going all the way up to HANNIBAL RISING, although whether HR will even be worth owning currently seems very questionable.

It's owned by a different studio, Universal. So no RED DRAGON. Frankly, I'm not that concerned about the loss (I already have it on DVD, anyway), and the set is pretty cheap (I got it for about $20 - for three movies, that's not bad).No RED DRAGON in there?
I think they wanted to release they set to help HANNIBAL RISING's release. At this point, they need any little bit of promotion they can get.I'd have thought there'd be a four- or five- (depending on whether MANHUNTER is to be considered part of the franchise) film box set later this year going all the way up to HANNIBAL RISING, although whether HR will even be worth owning currently seems very questionable.

* "Mrs. Doubtfire"
I watched Mrs. Doubtfire last night and TOTALLY cracked up watching it, kudos to both Williams and Brosnan. First of all, totally cracked up at all the disguise stuff... funny that Bond yet again deals with somebody's fake "alibi"... ha ha! However, the more amusing part was wondering where the hell Jinx was when the family goes to see Stu (Brosnan... lol) in that beach club. I actually was thick enough to exclaim "Where's Jinx?" outloud and nobody in my family understood what I was talking about!
Anyways, great movie... still love it even though it came out when I was about 4 years old!

This was on my Christmas list, and my sister got it for me. But, it never got put under the tree, so I never got it, and I bought it myself. Now my sister's taking it back and getting something else.The Maltese Falcon Special Edition. (Also includes the 1931 treatment, and Satan Met A Lady, another adaptation from 1936.)
