I saw Revenge of the Sith last night. I will keep this very short so as not to spoil anything. It is by far the best of the prequels. Lucas really seemed to get it right this time. I had some small issues but it is extremely entertaining, exciting and sad at times. The audience loved it. On May 19th make sure you have your tickets. It is well worth it.
OMG OMG OMG!!!! I can't wait! Have you seen the latest Premiere magazine? Hayden is hot! I mean young Anakin - "Luke, I'm your father" Darth Vader.

MAJOR RUMOUR: JAMES EARL JONES *NOT* PROVIDING DARTH VADER'S VOICE
IN "REVENGE OF THE SITH"
-----------------------------------------
On IMDb, James Earl Jones is no longer in the cast list, and fans are starting to panic.
Several sources are claiming that George Lucas has said;"James will not be doing the Vader voice for Revenge of the Sith. James portrays the older voice for Vader. I needed someone who could portray a younger voice for Vader in this movie. I understand why some fans would want James to do the voice, but this is not my vision. The voice you heard in the trailer is the final sounding voice."
All I can say is that if this is true, this has already destroyed any hopes I had for Episode Three. I have just about had enough of George Lucas and his stupid decisions. How the hell are we meant to look forward to Vader's return with Hayden Christensen lending his crappy voice?! After Star Wars, I am never, EVER watching a George Lucas film again, because the man does not know how to put anything to screen. He created Star Wars, that's great, but now he's really messing it up bad, and someone should have stopped him!
Okay General, calm down, calm down....
Can any of those who have seen this confirm this? If no-one else wants to find out, could I at least be PM'ed with the answer. I really need to know if this is true. Thanks.
Best Wishes,
The General.

As upsetting as this sounds, I don't really mind. Seems Lucas has a good enough reason for omitting Jones from the cast. As long as Vader keeps going *Cooh... Prr* during the film, I'm happy.-----------------------------------------

Vader just wouldn't work with Christensen's feeble, whining voice!

Luckily, I'm hearing this may not be true. Upon frantically trying to find confirmation, I've stumbled on several reviews from people who have seen the movie, that claim James Earl Jones does indeed provide Vader's voice. Information on IMDb is easy for users to sabotage, so someone may have done this, and lied to them about it all. It's quite possible. But, either way, things are looking up on that issue.

Well that's good.

Lucas has made some poor creative decisions in the past, but I think he does realize that James Earl Jones IS Vader (not that I hold anything against Prowse, but come on). It's kind of like the Emperor or Chewbacca, they're younger in this film too, but he still has the same guy in the furry suit and in the robe.
EDIT: Allow me to add this from his IMDb mini-biograpy:
James Earl Jones was born in 1931 in Arkabutla, Mississippi, USA. Probably best known for his role as Darth Vader (voice only, the man in the Darth Vader suit was David Prowse, who was dubbed because of his British west country accent)... James Earl Jones will return as the voice of Darth Vader in Episode 3 of Star Wars.

Well, I usually credit the role to both Jones and Prowse, and I even mention Sebastian Shaw.
I've heard Prowse saying the lines from Star Wars, and have met him numerous times, and it really is little wonder they brought Jones in for the voice. Prowse is a great man but, I was born in the same place Prowse was, and I can admit that our accent is pretty shocking!

The Force returns with most of its original power regained in "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith." Concluding entry in George Lucas' second three-pack of space epics teems with action, drama and spectacle, and even supplies the odd surge of emotion, as young Anakin Skywalker goes over to the Dark Side and the stage is set for the generation of stories launched by the original "Star Wars" 28 years ago. Whatever one thought of the previous two installments, this dynamic picture irons out most of the problems, and emerges as the best in the overall series since "The Empire Strikes Back." Stratospheric B.O. is a given. |

After reading a rather ridiculous thread featuring perhaps the largest SW geeks ever, on IMDb; claiming ROTS will be the number one grosser of all time (Some say even including inflation) i've been pondering the following question: how much do you all think it will reel in?
$420M D

Wouldn't surprise me if the preceived success of 3 will help make 1 and 2 better movies within the context of the 6-movie saga. The lead off for Variety's review says it all, I think.
