As far as I'm concerned they both taste like fizzy malted battery acid, though I used to have a bad Dr Pepper habit that took a couple of years to kick.I still can't decide if I like Pepsi or Coca-Cola better? They're both very similar.....

As for me I'm a Pepsi Girl (Regular, Cherry, & Vanilla). I find Coke to be too sweet.
(as a mater of fact I'm drinking a Vanilla papsi right now)

Blech diet sodas....I hate diet sodas. And I also hate ice in my drinks - too watery and ice doesn't do too much to cool it down, really. You can get a drink that is just as cold, with twice as much liquid when you ditch the ice...
Oh I know... NO ICE! Whenever I go to fast food places I also order something like this: "and a Medium Pepsi with no ice please" ...and then they're like "No ice?" And I'm thinking to myself "HELL YA, NO ICE... are you insane, I'm not going to pay $3 for 3/4th a cup of ice and a dribble of soda!"

lol - EXACTLY! Plus, if I'm in a place like New Jersey or Maryland that has rather sub-par water (compared with where I live in Long Island - GREAT water there), the ice therefore tastes bad, which in turn ruins my drink.Blech diet sodas....I hate diet sodas. Guiness certianlly goes down terribly well, as does any type of Red wine from the Penfold's stable particular the Grange. But for anyone not in Oz you probably won't know what I'm talking about.
Bollanger, Krug for champagne.

Yes, good vodka is a must. Poor James doesn't have any say in his martini's quality of Vodka anymore.
Smirnoff red?....Not even the 100 proof blue label? Tsk, tsk.....
Finlandia - Certainly a different flavor than most and quite distinctive, but not that good in a martini...Maybe with some tonic.....
Again, I stand by my choices listed in this thread. Skyy is certainly passable though.

How could I even forget margaritas and beer?! Guinness is great beer...Quite partial to a well made Magarita (from a mexican resturant or bar)

Problem is that the syrup used to make cola in fast food outlets and cinemas has a slightly thicker consistency than it normally would be to compensate for the drink becoming more dilute as the ice melts. (Yes Q, we know all this. Get to the point.[Oh I know... NO ICE! A guy in the soft drinks business advised me that, even if you don't care for ice, if you ask for about an inch in the bottom of the cup it will melt quickly and you'll end up with something more like 'The Real Thing'.
