I didn't know you like screwdrivers Athena. That's what got me though college...No, really. I pretty much drank screwdrivers, cape cods (vodka cranberry), and greyhounds (grapefruit juice and vodka).

I'm a vodka girl, Glor. If it's vodka... tell me about it and I'll try it. :)

It's scotch on the rocks for me. It was actually the first alcoholic beverage I ever drank. Me and my dad were on a fishing trip when I was 17 and he introduced it to me, along with the important phrase "don't tell your mother." Ever since it's the drink I most often have.

Martinis? I no longer trouble with all the concoctions. I now drink my martinis "neat".

So just a nice glass of straight vodka or gin for you eh 4A? That's not too bad as long as you keep your vodka in the freezer.

Athena, just remember if you do try a greyhound that the quality of the grapefruit juice makes all of the difference. Sometimes it can be rather bitter.

There's a pretty wild vodka drink at Red Square called a Chernobyl. I don't recall exactly how it's made but it's about 3 different vodkas and some other stuff topped off with a splash of cranberry.

I am much the same as you Athena... If it has vodka, I'll probably try it. Hence the Madras issues in Key West. :)

Out of a plastic bottle in a brown bag?

Sorry, couldn't resist. I prefer it cold. It's a bit smoother that way.

A Bond friend of mine introduced me to vodka and Mountain Dew.

He calls it a "Mountain Screw"

I love my martinis.... I'm finishing up mine now. But anway, I saw the Absolut Vanilla, how do you make your martini? I'm game for anything..... :)

The Vanilla Vodka is probably the best alcoholic invention since the invention of vodka....I have to say, though, that Absolut was quite disappointing. I guess I'll have to stick with Smirnoff

If you drink, or used to anyway, what is (was) your favourite cocktail? I'm not talking about what is your favourite Bond cocktail is, but what is YOUR personal favourite?

I've always been quite fond of the martini, actually.

But back in my big drinking days, I drank just about everything. :) For party time, my staples were the kamikaze, the whiskey sour, and the gin and tonic.

No cocktails for late night. That was the time for single malt, or rotgut, depending on the company.

Vodka Martini - the only cocktail I actually drink regularly. Purely because of Bond. A habit I have with a friend. Damned hard to make nicely though, tend to taste awful. But every once in a while they are delicious!

Bloody Mary or Clamato is my prefered beverage during the daytime, if I'm on vacation and certainly goes down well after a night of celebration. :)

I also enjoy Jack Daniels w/ diet coke, Stolie, sky and absolute Martinis with lemon peel(had a fantastic one at Mortons the other day)and Long Island ice teas occasionally. :)

I don't drink much but when it's available I go for the fruitier drinks. Pina Coladas, Daiquiris, Margaritas in all flavors. When a blender isn't around, I take kahlua 'n' creme or Bailey's 'n' creme. :)

I seldom drink anymore, but when I do I am partial to the Martini myself. That and a good single malt. The Martini is for whenever, the scotch is usually when alone and in a reflective mood. I like it shaken, not stirred. Although some says shaking

As is well known around here, I'm a devout Single-Malt man (comes with the ancestory) and I do enjoy a good pint of Guinness. Here in the states, I'm also partial to Sierra Nevada or any Pale Ale's.

Out on the town, champagne and martinis (high end Vodka, straight up with lemon peel and just a hint of vermouth) are a given. Lounging poolside (as was the case this last weekend) I found myself enjoying a steady diet of mimosas and I've never passed on a good, spicy bloody mary.

004 and myself do have a special recipe for bloody mary's that make them a meal unto themselves and will certainly cure anything or hangover that ails you. :)

On the non-alcholic side, a coke is always nice or just a straight seltzer water.

After reviewing previous posts, Bryce I seem to find our tastes are very similar. I prefer Oban, myself. Vodka-wise, I always keep coming back to Kettle 1, too many memories and gift bottles not to. It's suprising just how good a bottle of Stoli can be, when compared to some of the pricier stuff on the Market.

Mimosas are great when it' hot. I don't like bloody marys. Beer is only when in an English pub.

You forgot the "with a twist" part Luv. :)

I have to agree with 003 on the Guinness. If you can see through it, it's not strong enough when it comes to beer.

Still prefer Vox, Grey Goose or Belvedere. I tend to drink a lot of Vodka and Red Bulls these days or any energy drink. Keeps the hangover from being too wicked. I also like cape cods and the occasional screwdriver or greyhound.

I made a shot the other night with Goldschlager and Apple Pucker. Pretty tasty and it almost looked like kryptonite it was so green. I had a jaeger-bomb not too long ago. That was evil. Silver Patron goes down rather smoothly. I'm heading out tonight to a party with an open bar. I will let everyone know what comes out of that. :)
