You didn't? Oh, that's one of my favorites. If you're going in order, you'll be set with some of the best, (LALD, MR), when it comes to DAF, it just depends on the reader, I quite like it. Enjoy. :)

You will enjoy it CommanderBond, it very well may be my all time favorite James Bond novel. Fleming knew what to do with this 007 adventure!

I got my new fresh copy of OHMSS, replacing my old beat up Signet copy with Lazenby's face on it. Maybe I should re-read it...again...for the hundredth time.

Today, I just started re-reading 'Casino' with the intention to read the whole lot of Flemming books in order (again).

I find it much more satisfying than watching all 20 films in order (I tend to fall asleep in the middle somewhere :) )

Finished Diamonds are Forever last week. I've been reading the Fleming's in order as of late.

However, for my holiday travels, I'm taking along For Special Services.

One of the best Gardner books.

For whatever reason, I felt like reading a novel and the first one in order on one of my shelves was License Renewed. I haven't read it in over 20 years. I'm about halfway through it now and feel it's a pretty mixed bag so far.

starting to re-read Never Send Flowers. On chapter 6 right now, and it's just as good as I remember it. I think this is one of Gardners best, especially of his later novels.

I recently finished James Bond Junior 003 1/2, I had never read it before, and found that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's Bond and I enjoyed it. Not sure which one of the others to reread next.

I'm waiting on the last two Fleming novels to be re-released in the U.S. So, hurry up!

I started with Casino Royale and have done them all in sequence. Great stuff!

Hard to decide which is my favorite novel. But the notable ones for me are Casino Royale, Moonraker, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice .

Fleming rules!

I just bought a hard-cover of TMWTRT for 6 bucks at crown books. Plan to start reading it tonight. It will be my 3rd one. Previously I've read Seafire and Diamonds Are Forever.

Should I start with D-Day or Band of Brothers the book? And my bookstore has the one about B-24 bomber pilots in hardback on sale!

Your post was in November but after you finish the D-Day one get Band of Brother the book. 20,000,000x better.

Just finished Brokenclaw some days ago and was very disappointed. I found it the worst Bond novel I've read so far...

The first 50 pages was good, and reminded me of LALD a bit. And the last 50 pages was also quite good, but the "middle" of the book was terrible. So uninttruiging, so unlike a Bondnovel and nothing I'd ever read again.

The best thing about the novel was Brokenclae Lee. A magnificant and excellent villain John Gardner has created!

I'm currently reading three Bond novels. I'm one of those people that has about 5 books on the go at the same time.
I'm reading Moonraker, James Bond and Moonraker and James Bond The Authorised Biography. All at the same time as reading The War of the Worlds, MORT and various fan fic pieces. :)
