I actually really hope this rumour is true
http://www.mirror.co...15875-22125171/
WOW Thats a whole load of AWESOME information! Do hope it's true, but I thought Sam Mendes was only signing on as a consultant?
In the words of Col. Hans Landa, " I love rumors! Facts can be so misleading, where rumors, true or false, are often revealing!"

Their unnamed 'source' has to be Gulsham Grover.

Also, do anyone else know why the tabloids are fixated on the Bond films having an Indian actor in them?

to be honest I'll say 95% of this story is BS
5% might be true more specifically the idea of one of ther female leads to be a double crossing UN worker. That I'd believe Considiering the old Afghan rumour from 2009 and the fact that double crossing seems to be a theme for bond films since the world is not enough... Not that I have a problem when done well like Quantum of solace and Casino Royale it's cool and quite fun when it's done poor like die another day well you get the idea.
Very interesting article and I'm sure Zorin will jump in and say i'm being too hopefull but i wouldn't be suprised if Eon is getting everything ready so that the moment MGM is sold and bond 23 is green lit they can get started. I honestly wouldn't be suprised if after MGM is sold (hopefully to time warner on Monday) we'll have a bunch of bond news just popping up in the weeks afterwards.
I'm enthusiastic it probably pisses some here off but I'm happy.
Zorin if you want you and only you can say i'm being too hopefull or you can shock me and agree Eon is definitly moving along behind the scenes Looking at actresses and actors fleshing out locations and letting their potential director be closely involved with certain decisions...
we'll see.
Oh one more thing Yes i'm quite excited about the prospecvt of a double corssing un worker. I think the idea is kinda cool.

I feel your anti youth Shark I'm 23. Apart from bond being healthy (non smoker) fit and playing Texas holdem we essentialy want the same Bond not all youth wants big explosions and hot half naked chicks
I want a good suspensfull and mysterious film and i wouldn't mind one explosion in the film and that is it.

Of course I will curb your enthusiasm here...!I'm much more interested in the Olivia Wilde side of things..

Eon will be looking at all sorts of details - actors, locations, logistics - but your notion that Monday will be the day everything will be sorted MGM wise is a tad presumptious/foolish.
And if and when the MGM issue is on its way to a conclusion the Bond lawyers will no doubt step in and check every detail relating to the WHOLE Bond franchise - NOT just one future film. There is a great deal involved here (the protection of a 50 year old series for starters). That in itself will take time I'm afraid.
I would suggest that no imminent Bond film will be set in Afghanistan. It is too much of a political hot potato and not where a lot of people want to be entertained by - be it for real or alluded to. And the UN notion.... I'm not sure the UN bods would want suggestions - even in a Bond film - of wrongdoing....
My main reaction right now is....it's a Saturday and it was The Mirror.

The UN plot line just seems like something Purvis and wade would do. UN might not like it but I don't think they have a say.
is it possibly BS sure is it possibly true sure
i'd rather remain hopefull then the opposite.

So a film that hasn't even got greenlit has already appeased the finance men AND the insurers to tout it is being shot in Kabul, one of the most dicey places on the planet right now...? Right...

Hopeful is good. Realistic is even better.

Your saying there is no chance Olivia Wilde is the next bond girl
Btw i have googled her and I hope she is the next bond girl...
I said 95% is probably BS
As for kabul..
No i don;t think they will film there But i wouldn't be suprised if Pinewood studios built a kabul set and afghanistan is a brief location
I hope Olivia Wilde is the main bond girl She is very very cute Exacty what i'm hoping for in the next bond girl the kind of innocent face great body combo Hialry duff and Amanda Bynes have but with out the baggage Hilary duff and Amanda bynes have.

But who knows?:
A few pics posted on other threads.
I highly doubt she will be in Bond as well. As for Frieda, I always wanted her to be in a Bond.
Hope this part is true.
P-D, you know better than to post tabloid trash like this.
Also, do anyone else know why the tabloids are fixated on the Bond films having an Indian actor in them?
Well I always figured the next Bond film to be filmed around India for some sequences and maybe for certain other reasons. You know what I mean. Keeping a certain investing contingency happy.

Actress Freida Pinto has denied that she was approached by director Sam Mendes to play the lead in his next Bond movie opposite Daniel Craig.
Freida's official spokesperson in a statement said, "I would like to confirm that as of today, Freida Pinto has not been approached to be part of the next Bond film."
"It is of course very flattering to even be rumoured to be part of a Bond film but she has certainly not been approached for the role of the next Bond girl opposite Daniel Craig as yet," he added.
Freida is currently out of the country working on her forthcoming projects which include, Julian Schnabel's Miral, Woody Allen's You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger and Tarsem Singh's Dawn of War.

An excellent summary of all the ridiculous rumours of the past year or so, therefore I call rubbish on this. If any of the details prove to be true, I’ll be extremely surprised and attempt to eat some form of headwear.I actually really hope this rumour is true

And that would have nothing to do with the fact he is promoting a new film starring Pierce Brosnan...?Twilight star Robert Pattinson says he would love to play James Bond in the future
