Yes, it was he. His work is right in the shadows of John Williams, and I feel he is an up-and-coming composer. He's more classical than contemporary. By that I mean he'd rather NOT use a synth score and bring in chorale instead. "Frontline" is the best work he has done and I listen to that CD constantly. It's sad Barry isn't doing the music, but Disney knows jack **** nowadays. (I want Barry back...but that's another discussion.Did he do the music for "Medal Of Honor: Frontline"? If he did, he did great work on that game.

When I saw that trailer, I grinned from ear to ear and laughed. A lot of ppl I saw it with (think it was in front of "Finding Nemo" actually) knew it too. I'll be seeing the film for sure.

I hope they use the theme in the film itself and have faith that Pixar will deliver a great film.

I'm surprised they're still using the OHMSS theme. Is that gonna be the theme for this movie or is it just holdover music?

Sadly, Barry was signed to do this movie. Giacchino is replacing him. It's unfortunate that John Barry wasn't signed to do the score for this movie. I think he would've made a perfect match. I hope Giacchino is just as good.

Which makes me wonder whether or not if there was any music composed beforehand.Sadly, Barry was signed to do this movie. Giacchino is replacing him.
(And if that was the case... a rejected score, anyone?

It wasn't the original theme, but an updated version, with a higher tempo and distinct "new" tones, sort of like the Bond theme from Dr. No compared with the version you hear in the Brosnan films. It sounds like whoever updated it did a very good job.
Anyway, I'm thinking since it's an updated version it'll be in the final film and this won't be simply some of that music you only hear on trailers and that's never in the film when you go see it. I hope so anyway. I've always loved the original theme and this update sounds....well, cool.

Of course, the theme could've been used in another film before and I'm making a big deal about nothing.
