Hmm... I'm not holding out for them to attatch it to the midnight screening. They said they might put one on so if I ring a few more times they might get the point that they should put THAT one on. I'm going to go and watch it on Friday or Saturday again so will they have attatched it by then? I know I keep asking questions but I just wondered how cinemas work. Will it be put in the reel with any other films? One presumes it will be littered around other films pretty soon. Any idea?

If anyone has an info on if Fox have put the trailer on the print or have told cinemas the HAVE to show the trailer then please, please, please keep me informed.

Fox are sending it separate, it won't actually be attached to the first reel. So it's up to the theatres to attach it. My advice, ring them a few times and get your friends to ring them too. Maybe they'll get the message :)

You didn't see it at Pacific Fair? That's interesting. Maybe you were just unlucky. I know that cinemas are sent only so many copies of the trailer (usually two). So it may be in use in another theatre while you're watching Star Wars in another. When you consider, they probably have over 5 prints of Star Wars it seems possible.

In regards to Pacific Fair, I was there back in January. Nice place. But damn, cinemas on the Gold Coast are strange. I went to one (wasn't Pacific Fair though) that was a Burcher and Carroll. Can't remember the shopping centre. But it was North of the main part of the Gold Coast and it was just so different to Victorian cinemas. Totally different layout, function etc...

Picked this up in Hamburg yesterday morning..........looks like some people won't be getting the DAD trailer when/if they see EP:II. I'm not sure where this package is for I think it could be the US.

Well it's only a trailer, they usually can get ratings easily. And Star Wars is PG I'm presuming.

Now in the UK The World is not Enough was given a 12, as was Tomorrow Never Dies and GoldenEye. Licence to Kill was given a 15. I'm guessing here, but I'd say 12 and PG are one in the same. So no, it doesn't seem that Die Another Day is going to be 'tame'. Also keep in mind that that rating is solely for the trailer and not for the final film.

I don't think that the teaser trailer grabs general audiences the way it grabs us. In this regard it is a failure. Also as a teaser was ready in time for attachment to the summer blockbusters, the fact that Fox and MGM could not between them get it shown with AOTC everywhere is a disaster. This should have been central to the teaser campaign.

And news from the main page;

Having spoken with the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) earlier today I can exclusively reveal that the teaser trailer for Die Another Day has not yet been given a classification by the BBFC.

Despite this, it was confirmed that the BBFC have received a copy of the trailer and have also viewed it. They are expected to decide on a rating over the next few days.

Recently the BBFC gave Star Wars Episode II a PG rating, It is likely that the Die Another Day teaser trailer will receive the same rating as it will be showing before Episode II.

All this news and I have a lot of other news to report as well. C'est la view.

I guess the news is good though. Adds credibility to our original exclusive report, to CommanderBond.Net and gets more people interested in Die Another Day.

James Bond (08 May, 2002 08:32 a.m.):
Does anyone have an idea when this fantastic teaser trailer is coming to the Netherlands and other countries such as Germany and France etc. ?????????????

In addition to my last post I can know CONFIRM via the German James Bond Fan Club (BKD) that in Germany the teaser trailer will also be distributed with SW: Attack of the Clones on Thursday next week. But it's every cinema owners choice to use it or not to use it. Great news for German fandom!

I saw SW:AOTC last night. After 2 trailers for Scooby Doo and A Disney film, i'd almost given up hope, But then... Up came the Fox logo, followed by MGM and there it was.

How did the audience react to it, Dalton?

The reaction seemed pretty positive. My only criticism is that I have a loud cow behind me, that proclaimed "Another James Bond film... Already!!!)

I almost choked on my pop-corn, thinking it's been 3 damn years woman.

I saw Star Wars last night, and I'm pretty peeved ;d Not that I expected to see the trailer. But they were really bad trailers that I saw. I mean honestly, I got Snow Dogs, Stuart Little 2, something else I don't even remember. And then there was one trailer. It started off with the Fox logo (I stopped moving), the MGM logo popped up (I cheered) and then I swore. Why? Because Steve Irwin, Australias damned Crocodile Hunter stepped on screen! Who the [cuss] commissioned him to make a film? And why advertise it in front of Star Wars.

We got some super boring trailers!

Glad you liked it BC. It took a while to find that link seeing the official site doesn't actually have it. But there's one problem, it's streaming media :) Does anyone know of a tool to capture Quicktime Streadming Media? This high quality version has to be saved!
