1. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
Not Fleming. It's still silly, but it's toned down. I love Greece. Melina is great. Columbo is a joy.
2. LIVE AND LET DIE
Fun. Kotto is underrated.
3. MOONRAKER
I just enjoy it more than some others. It's filmed well, and it's lunacy is consisent.
4. OCTOPUSSY
A lot of potential, utterly ruined by sillyness.
5. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN
At least Lee is good.
6. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME
I generally abhor this one. Don't see the attraction.
7. A VIEW TO A KILL
Blech.

Best of the Moore 007 films.
2. LIVE AND LET DIE
Lots of fun...one of my most frequently watched 007 films.
3. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
The most serious Moore film.
4. MOONRAKER
Outlandish fantasy but a fun ride.
5. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN
Bond girl/Pepper is weak but Scaramanga makes up for it.
6. OCTOPUSSY
Boring in most aspects...silly in others.
7. A VIEW TO A KILL
Not much to say....Walken is good though.

Have to vote for The Spy who Loved Me. After rewatching the Moore era, I'm actually inclined to think that it is miles and miles ahead of the other films for quality. The line when they are in the van and Jaws is trying to get in, the calmness and "Can you play any more tunes on that?" are a great part of the film.

But "FYEO" suffers because of its pacing, poor music (though this seems a bit of a point of contention) and a somewhat weak Bond girl. "OP," however, strikes a perfectly even balance between grim Cold War intentness and bizarre, flavorful comedy. Moore looked depressingly horrible in "AVTAK" and the film was hurt by the fact that no one could possibly believe that Sir Roger was doing any of his own stunts, i.e., the fire engine chase. There's nothing too outrageous like that in "OP," wherein most of the action scenes are either vehicle-based (New Delhi chase, "riding the rails,") or work around the problem of blatant stunt double usage by employing more tightly-edited close-ups of Bond, such as during the safari pursuit and on the plane fight in the finale.

I do.....I must add that think you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who truly enjoys "AVTAK."
And i think calling most of Rogers bonds crap is a bit of an exaggeration, well at least in my opinion.

Well, "TMWTGG," "MR," and "AVTAK" are some of the worst Bond films, in my opinion. I don't think there's anyone who regards those as some of the "best."
You'll always find at least one person (and sometimes many more) who'll give you plenty of reasons why this film... or that film... is the best in the series--even if it typically regarded as a lesser entry in the series.
