Never seen a Roger Moore Bond film before? You're in for a treat then.
I'd personally recommend The Spy Who Loved Me if you want to go for the one that seems to have the most fan appeal (it's also Roger Moore's personal favourite) or Live And Let Die if you want to watch them in chronological order.

2. For Your Eyes Only
3. The Man With The Golden Gun
4. Octopussy
5. The Spy Who Loved Me
6. Live And Let Die
7. A View To A Kill
contrary to most people (and please excuse my bad taste!~) but i loooved moonraker! it has my fav music, and to me there just seems to be something that feels right about it (many of you mite think there's something right about tswlm). maybe all the exotic locations and gadgets, they did a good job of going into space i reckon, but moore seemed to act the part a little too well, almost as though hes been in space before and knows what its like to run through corridors with space just outside.. oh and i really liked the large amount of bad humour in it (and all that advertising) hahaha
FYEO used to be a movie i didnt like, then over the last 6 months ive come to love it-all that snow stuff and the lack of huge action-sort of like frwl, and even the contemporary early 80s music! haha
TMWTGG i like a lot, again showing my evident bad taste, but the asian setting was good, and the scenes from meeting lazar to jumping on the queen mary was brilliant!! scaramaga is my fav villain and maud was awesome, pity she was killed off! moore was best looking in either this or spy
Octopussy had a bit of everything and was a good all rounder to me. louis jordan is probably my 2nd or 3rd fav villian
TSWLM was good, but not great in my eyes only hehe. i liked everything in egypt, anya was hot but monotonous, the car is my 2nd fav (i now have a 1991 mazda astina 323-white with pop up headlights hehe), how good was it going off the wharf!!! but stromberg was boring and i didnt like the last 1/3 with the sub and everything
LALD had a mad boat chase! and a great snippet of music is when moore's on the alligator island and the brass comes in hehehe. i think it was a bit too voodoo for bond so its not too high on my moore list, and the watch... i want!!!! cuts rope and can bring spoons and boats closer to you! hahahaha
AVTAK is on the bottom of the list.. i wonder why.. i didnt think there was much good in this movie, maybe the chase around paris, and that deleted scene is funny with the french police (on DVD)! but i reckon moore was waay too old!
well i think that about does it for moore, oh and a moore line im desperate to pull off on a chick is of course!:
"well i had lunch, but i seem to have missed desert"

A View to a Kill is definitely the VERY BEST BOND MOVIE EVER! Except for maybe NSNA.
I know you were being funny, but I actually love both of those movies....they are in my Top 5.

1) The Man with the Golden Gun
2) The Spy Who Love Me
3) A View to a Kill
4) Octopussy
5) Live and Let Die
6) For Your Eyes Only
7) Moonraker
It's strange, I used to be very, very fond of FYEO - But over the past few years, my enthusiasm for it has declined.

1) FYEO
2) TSWLM
3) Octopussy
4) Moonraker
5) AVTAK
6) LALD
7) TMWTGG
I love both FYEO and TSWLM. FYEO just shades it, as it is a proper spy thriller with Moore playing the part of 007 relatively straight & serious. I love the snow scenes and Corfu, and I always enjoy the keel-hauling sequence and even the throwaway with Blofeld at the start.
TSWLM is wonderful too, a greatest hits package of everything that is good about Bond.

I love Roger Moore, and personally think he's the best Bond. Having said that I voted for "The Man with the golden Gun" as my favorite.
So did I. TMWTGG is one the best! IMHO.
Nic Nac rules!

It is basically the same plot as YOLT, but is far more fun to watch.

TSWLM is an excellent movie, and it is often called a "Greatest hits Package" of everything that is good about 007.
...and it works. Greatest hits or not, they made everything work for that movie.

Hmmm...I just saw LALD again and it left a different impression this time than the other times i've seen it...I'd probably have to put it between MR and FYEO now.My Moore list has shuffled a bit in the past year:
1) The Spy Who Loved Me
2) Octopussy
3) The Man With The Golden Gun
4) Moonraker
5) For Your Eyes Only
6) A View To A Kill
7) Live and Let Die
