Don't worry kev, Blue Eyes comment was directed at me. The comment did have a place in this thread however Daniel since you yourself brought up the bit about Ms. Richards' line delivery.
(BTW - More in the vein of a school yard snipe is "I happen to be an acquantance of Denise.")

Let me guess, she's your half sister? Or you know her through your hairdresser?

Yes I did bring up her line delivery, but there is a way to do it. Give examples, give something, just don't come off sounding catty as opposed to informed.

And thank you Kevin for a most amusing reply :)

So do I. I was Matt Dillon's body double in Wild Things for scenes he was uncomfortable with. It included those with Denise. But sadly also that horrible shower scene with Kevin Bacon.

I am being serious about knowing her...
Though my connection with DR is not through my profession, you should know, through my profession (because you are one of the few people on this board who actually knows what I do for a living) that I do come into contact with a lot of movie stars.

I think there are more than "a few" of us that know what you do for a living, DLN...

If I may enter the fray. I thinks Denise Richards is perfect in TWINE.
she is meant to be a study in contrast to Sophie Marceau's Electra.
While electra is affluent, elegant and "high maintainance" and European,
Christmas is American, "blue collar" and uncomplicated. I think Richards
portrays this nicely. I would rather have beers with Christmas than
fine wine with Electra!

Shannon Tweed would have been good. It would nice to see her in a movie BEFORE it gets to cable.

.........or indeed just by someone else and in a different movie. Let's face it, everything about the role and her performance was redundant.

Having thought about this, the only reason for her "being" was so that the marketing boys would have someone sitting next to Bond for the movie's closing scene.

Maybe ultimately, that scene could have been just as well played by a cocktail waitress with a nice line in aprons.

My thoughts exactly. About the contrast, that is. Denise as Christmas was to Sophie as Elektra, as what Halle Berry as Jinx was to Rosamund Pike as Miranda Frost: American "street/casual" compared to European "elegance and elusiveness."

Thanks, Mr. Kidd...

Since when did American women become uncomplicated ? Both of the European Female Leads in "The World Is Not Enough" and "Die Another Day" were either Madness Villianess with a vendetta or double agents ! So much for "elegance and elusiveness" .

Interesting and very well put observation, Mr. Kidd. Your description of the contrast between the two types of Bond girls Elektra and Christmas epitomize is directly on target. However, I would classify myself as the type of Bond fan who would rather have fine wine with Elektra. Call it "snob appeal" but when it comes to a choice between the more elegant women of Bond(Elektra, Paris Carver, Domino Derval, Anya Amasova, Miranda Frost, Sylvia Trench, Countess Lisl, etc.) and the more American, "low maintenance", leading-lady-in-a-Mel-Gibson-Lethal-Weapon-type-flick Bond girls(Christmas, Jinx, Pam Bouvier, etc.) I'll pick the elegant girls every time.

But one can be an elegant villainess. The two adjectives are unconnected and unrelated.

The Bond series is full of elegant villains such as Kamal Khan, the female equivalent was never far behind in coming.

Good thing, too. And my thoughts exactly, Simon. We need more viable female villainesses in the Bond series. Or viable henchwomen.
