I'd answer;
1) No
2) Yes

And in the end these so called reviewers (I can't recall the old adage, failed actors or something?) have nothing to do with a generalisation of people who enjoy the film as squirrel lovers or whatever rubbish was put forward.

As a movie reviewer for a reasonably sized newspaper, I'm not sure how to take your post Daniel. I've never had any aspirations to be an actor...

Oh, we get along, RWD. I like anyone who uses a Benson-related screen-name :) and you've made good points elsewhere on this site. I'm just challenging you on this post because, from the start, it was thread that was meant to incite people who liked DAD. I liked DAD, and I think if we're going to let someone post a flame, then they are going to have to deal with the fire they start. Don't make me the reason you leave CBn. That will make me sad. Come back, I'll play nice. :)

OHMSS is one of the greatest James Bond movie and novel. why in the new of heaven is this find film compared to films like DAD. it is sick to compare a movie like this ,which use original Fleming source material to a vision of a screenwriter and Bond fan.:)

Okay, Red Widow Dawn wrote "mother and M". Why don't we give him/her the benefit of the doubt and assume that he/she meant to write "father and M"? Worked for me.

Actually, I think this was one of the more productive threads. At least it went beyond the "omg insivibel car wtf dad sucks" comments that plague other threads.

I also think that Zencat enjoyed the challenge of arguing with me.

Hey, now I agree with you 100%, RWD! I think the threads have been pretty dull and repetitive lately, and this one really woke me up. Reminds me of the grand old days fighting with MGM (that one made the papers). Thanks for walking me up, my friend. Sorry if I had a little too much energy after my long nap. I meant no harm. :)

Ah, I've got it, I think: "mother and M", i.e. the two are one and the same person. You find the idea of M having sex offensive, then? Why?

And how do you propose to "hurt" me?

I've lost count...

Zencat and Red Widow are speaking. Danny and Libra might have something cooking, but I am not sure.

Everyone is wide awake.

The squirrels have left, because no one is paying attention.

Is that it????

Responding to a few comments;

Zencat
Who the hell??? I don't know about you, but I don't weant to be represented by the reviewer for "CREATIVE LOAFING".

I do. Seriously. I think they're a specıalıst magazine for bread makers with a name like that. And I eat bread. So CREATIVE LOAFING stays :)

is sick to compare a movie like this ,which use original Fleming source material to a vision of a screenwriter and Bond fan.

Good. Fresh blood for Zencat and Blue Eyes.

I'm hurt :) Seriously, I find comparison between most Bond films and OHMSS 'sick'. OHMSS stands away from the bunch as it is.

BTW, what the heck is going on with this thread? It's the angriest and nastiest I've read on this site to date, and that's saying something!

Disagree with Loomis and agree with RWD. I don't think there's any evil intent in the thread at all (bar maybe the odd name call :)) and I think it's argumentative as oppsed to angry.

And finally, what the sodding hell is an L-Bone?

This thread is almost as exciting as any Bond film:

Intrigue, suspicion, shifting loyalties, worthy adversaries, and some amusing blood-letting.

Ciao :)

Well, it's obviously Red Widow Dawn having another dig. It seems strange, Blue Eyes, that you are now agreeing with Red Widow Dawn's belief that he/she has started a "productive" thread, when previously you appeared to share zencat's view that he/she was being pointlessly belligerent and provocative. It appears that name-calling is suddenly okay.

Ever the critic aren't we? :) I do think this thread is productive. But to say what you've said, is reading into my statement too much and making assumptions. Some threads that start out bad make good and vice versa. Currently I think this is good. Problems?

But I am concerned about the mystery of the missing squirrels, I fear some unspeakable horror has befallen them.

One man's "productive" is another man's "trolling", and I have nothing further to add on the matter.

Anyhow, this being Christmas Eve, may all CBners - including those with whom I have locked horns (it's all in fun) - have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.:)

Sorry BE...your Squirel information is about as true as Bond 20 involving a helicopter chase between the World Trade Center towers.

The Squirels got some seasonal work at hallmark.com appearing in their "Nutracker Suite" Christmas Card.

And speaking of...Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
