I have to say Live and let Die. Saw Paul perform it live in Atlanta when he was on tour. It was awesome with the background videos behind him of the gun barrel and all 5 actors in it. You can see a little of it on his Back in the USA DVD. I like the way it also compliments the movies titles. A close second would be Diamonds.

My personal favourite is The Living Daylights, even though it was called "dull" by Gary Morecmabe and Martin Sterling in Martinis, Girls and Guns (a good read), but I think that the overall best Bond theme is A View To A Kill. It seems to show that raw essence and power, as well as the charm, of a Bond flick. Plus Duran Duran is awesome.

Goldfinger, though, is definitely the most famous Bond theme, and easily the most recognizable.

I said it was Nobody does it better in another thread, but at the time I had completely forgotten about All time high. That's what I voted for.

I really liked the theme song for The Living Daylights and Goldeneye, but A View To A Kill's theme song and "Nobody Does It Better" are also excellent songs as well.

The Living Daylights is my one of all time favs. Its a nice blend of orchestra, synthesisers, and vocals. Barry did amazing with this piece.

I think it would be nice if they could bring John Barry back. Other than "Goldeneye", we haven't had a good theme song since Barry left the franchise. It would be great if he came back and gave us more theme songs along the lines of "The Living Daylights" for a few films. It would be a nice contrast to the mediocre "The World Is Not Enough" and the horrid "Tomorrow Never Dies" and the downright awful "Die Another Day" theme songs we have been subjected to since Arnold took over.

My vote goes to OHMSS. It's not only my favourite main title song, it's one of my all time favourite pieces of music. The soundtrack of OHMSS is also outstanding, Barry did good.

I picked "Nobody Does It Better" for obvious reasons, even though I was torn between that and LALD, which I'm surprised didn't get more votes (DAD isn't that good. but it's not as horrible as people say it is.) I sure as hell wasn't voting for Goldfinger (DAF and MR sounded much less contrived than GF.) I'm also surprised that TND did as well as it did, since 'Surrender,' the end-title song was much better.

I voted for A View To A Kill. Despite the movie being not so great, I really liked the title song. It's typical '80s and Duran Duran, but it's so groovy and upbeat, it just tips Nobody Does It Better IMO.

There's so many good ones to choose from. I really enjoy The Living Daylights, The James Bond Theme, Live And Let Die, The World Is Not Enough, and GoldenEye, but my favorite Bond song is Duran Duran's A View To A Kill.

I have to say I love Duran Duran's song for "A View To A Kill". I am a HUGE fan of 80's pop music, so perhaps for this reason alone, it's my favourite song. Ironic really, considering that "AVTAK" is my least favourite out of the movies.
My second favourite has to be A-Ha's "The Living Daylights". I remember hearing that one on the radio when I was about 9 years old.
Also, (many would disagree with me on this) I like Madonna's tune for "DAD".
It's like "AVTAK". Great song, crap movie!

Goldfinger -- always has been, always will be -- for the main reason that Shirley Bassey is just so darn . . . brassy! And that tone very much goes with the period and the ambience of the movie itself.

The Living Daylights is my second choice.

Apparently, Frank Sinatra was going to sing the theme song for Moonraker.
It was going to be called

And could this have been the girl to whom he would have sung it?

Probably a tie between The Living Daylights and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. I wish we could get another instrumental title track.
