It's not a draft, but there are some.. issues.. Having read that, I'm not even sure how to discuss SPECTRE on another threads. Should I pretend I don't know anything about it? Damn.

I think the news of the Sony leak is widespread enough that some people will be having fun releasing fake "leaks" to see how far they stretch - using conceivable information to add the sense of believability  - I'd take any "leaked information" you read with a pinch of salt at the moment.

The thing is, I believe the leaked info came out first by a few hours, followed swiftly by the CNN article about the budget... which features striking and scary similarities to certain points.

Unless the CNN based their report on the "leaked information" which could have taken bits and pieces from the Title announcement  and rumours - I haven't read the "leaks" and I'm not going to, but from what I've heard, the spelling and grammar throughout are atrocious and wouldn't pass a primary school English assignment.

And how can a film be "over budget" within the first few days of filming?

It's been little over an hour since reading it, and I'm still a bit stunned.

The email is talking about the projected budget.

Studio executives can spell wrong too.

Read it. Grammar is so appalling and the premise so disastrous that I'm assured it's not true.

To quote someone on page 1, it's definitely a bold direction if true. Not very good, but still bold.

Considering Amy Pascal's note according to the CNN article said there was no script at the time of her email, the likelihood of these leaks being representative of the final film are very slim - even more so when you consider P&W where hired to do MAJOR rewrites of Logan's final draft.

I'm not sure about there being "No script", but it does seem to be an early draft.

P&W were mostly hired to touch up dialogue and enliven character interaction, if you believe Baz's report.

Those hoping that the main thrust of the story--as presented in these leaks, which appear to cover a few different drafts--has significantly changed by the time November 2015 rolls around will be gravely disappointed.

Well it was one early enough for it not to have been submitted to the studio yet, so ludicrously early. Die Another Day at the same stage was a fairly loyal adaptation of Fleming's Moonraker and Dr No was a monkey at that films relative draft...

There are a couple of doozey spoilers in there if they are true.
If you want to be spoiler free take the next 11 months off.
I don't even know how SPECTRE discussion can continue with this floating around. All the fun guesswork has been taken away.

Is it true that they repeatedly call Moneypenny "Money Penny" and

Spoiler
- highly suspect.

I'm hoping that P&W did more than dialogue touch up and what not. Same thing with JezButterworth (very, very unlikely.).

I'm hoping that it's gone through heavy changes.

Got that right. Sort of killed the fun and the element of surprise. Only day two of filming too. Lovely.

Auto-correct. Or maybe executives at Sony are just not good at spelling.

Typo or not, you'd hope that someone in Sony dealing with a Bond film would have enough knowledge to know that Moneypenny's name is one word, especially if they're meant to be critiquing a screenplay for a major motion picture on the subject. I doubt anyone in a high enough position in Sony to be liaising with another production company over a major motion picture would be allowed to send memos and external emails to someone without being able to double check their emails first - highly unprofessional.

Do you think major executives and the chairman of Sony care how it's spelled? I'm not in no way attacking you, but that's Hollywood, or at least Sony. To them, anything has a dollar sign on it, and it's evident with Sony looking through their memos. No wonder they're in the gutter.

I don't see Mendes accepting the early ideas that come out........even Craig said it bigger and better......this scream the opposite? Look bvS also had a fake script leak so maybe this will be the same

Right. The CNN-Money story says the budget is "on track" to spending more than $300 million, According to the story, MGM wants to get that down to $250 million (still a substantial sum).

The debate between Eon and MGM is about how to do that. It sounds as if Sony's Amy Pascal was siding with Barbara Broccoli.

When executives are emailing the chairman of Sony about the script and there's a clear time stamp as well as email address, I think it's far from fake. Would a hacker, or rather some person really go through that much trouble to make a fake document and then put it on the internet.

Yes it is. So this means any chance of organized spoiler discussion has simply gone to hell. All wink wink nudge nudge from now on.

since the hack was done before spectre was announced. Wouldn't the cast and crew be concern about  possible leak of information. I am sure Mendes knew there is  a chance with the hack a lack of Bond information would happen but not enough to link to the real script from the emails

Pretty much. Since it's all too real (I can't find a reason why it wouldn't be), actual spoiler discussions are pretty much shot for those who have read them and those who haven't. As you said, "all wink wink nudge nudge from now on".  For eleven months.
