why the negative against best score.............damn it! just appreciated that the OScar like it..........why not be happy than freaking negative

While I'm happy for all the nominations, I find Skyall's score one of the weakest in the series. It seems like a token nomination, like a sort of consolation prize for ignoring the acting and best picture categories. Like, we'll nominate the song, may as well nominate the composer as well. Sort of like they did in 1977 when Marvin Hamlisch's score was nominated with Nobody Does It Better. While I find that score much better than Skyfall's, I don't find it as classic as most of Barry's inventive scores, which were snubbed but have become more and more acclaimed and sampled in others' music. Music I can easily identify with scenes from their respective films. I can't say that with Skyfall or most of Arnold's scores.

Yes! I didn't believe in it really... I thought no Golden Globes to Skyfall... But yeah! Best Original Song in a Motion Picture! Yeah! :D Congratulations Adele and Paul Epworth.

Just watched the ceremony, still I wasn't 100% sure Adele would made it. Then, when I heard "Skyfall" I almost jumped out of my chair! So proud of being a Bond fan! And this January 31st will be my 15th Bond-anniversary!

And a SKYFALL-related joke from Daniel Day-Lewis. Now I've seen everything.

Take that Adele haters! She has done so much for Skyfall, i was never in doubt that her song would be a success! I love how happy Daniel Craig looks after it was announced she had won

Just need that Oscar now!

I take back everything I was moaning about regarding Adele doing the 'Skyfall' theme - it's fantastic, a brilliant, brilliant Bond song and so deserving of the Golden Globe and (fingers crossed) Oscar award.

A great win, showing that Bond is bigger than ever in the media and critical eye, not just the fanbase now which is exciting and very proud to be a part of.

Let's hope rumours of DC wanting to get Adele on for 'Bond 24' is solid as she could be the next legendary singer of the series to do more than 1 song.

(Love that gif coco...I think DC represents every Bond fan in the world at that point for Adele!)  :D

I feel an 'Adele Appreciation Society' coming on...!

Just kidding! ;)

I was giving her quite a bit of negativity before the song came out, and just shows how wrong you can be presuming something before you hear / see it. It's such a wodnerful Bond theme and stays with me long after I've heard it.

I love the fact in that gif there, she makes the first move to high-five DC! Cleary that is a couple joined by the want to make a great product with the 'Skyfall' theme with him adament to get her on board.

Yeah, Rachel Weisz was up for Best Actress for 'The Deep Blue Sea' so a double show of support from Craig for both his ladies! Great to see the bond between them all.

I forgot how stunning Helen McCrory is out of her character roles as hard-up women!

And the wonderful Carey Lowell hasn't changed a bit. Still looks perfect

Nice collection Marketto.

Skyfall can be better than the competition this year and win and it have no bearing on how to it compares to other Bond songs.

Adele shouldn't have won an oscar for the new bond song. it was just so repetitive and bland. I can think of several other bond themes they are WAY better then Skyfall's theme.

You'll be pleased to know then that she hasn't won an Oscar for the 'new bond song'. Oscar's aren't until February 24 old chap.

She is a Golden Globe winner though :)

The Art Directors Guild's Awards were held on Saturday Feb 2nd and 'Skyfall' had a win with...

- Contemporary Film

Production Designer: Dennis Gassner

The Bond franchise as a whole was also awarded the Cinematic Imagery Award. Sir Ken Adam, Allan Cameron, Peter Lamont and Dennis Gassner (who accepted the award for Skyfall) were among the honorees.

So another good technical award for the team! :)
