Eh, it's not bad. I can see why it became a cult classic. I always wanted to play it, but never got around to it. After DICE announced the new ME at E3, I decided to play it. I give it a 7/10. It can be really fun when everything works the right way. However, too often the controls are unresponsive and the immersion is broken through frustrating sequences with enemies and poorly executed jumps. The story is weak (and incredibly short) too and only their to fill in the need to run and jump between buildings. More polish would've resulted in a better game. As it is though, it's not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

I sort of enjoyed 'Mirrors Edge' only for the fact it was a different style of game than anything I'd played before. Short and sweet and good fun, and helped pass time before the big games arrived for me like 'Batman' and 'Assassins Creed'.
Anything good on the horizon, excpet 'Assassins Creed IV'?

If you consider Assassin's Creed IV good, then I've got some bad news for you...

What?
It's excellent?! Oh good! Phew, I thought I was under-estimating this one!

Well, aside from the fact it's offering nothing new and is just a cash cow franchise and looks terrible. Suit yourself.

Well, it almost seems as if nobody even reads my posts anymore, so I'm obviously just writing this for myself, but whatever. Ever since I saw Ted Price announce Sunset Overdrive exclusive for the (at the time) DRM-heavy, anti-consumer Xbox One, I have felt nothing but a giant knife being twisted in my back. I supported Insomniac Games way back in the '90s when Spyro the Dragon was the second game I ever owned for Playstation. I've been with them for a long time and at times even enjoyed their games (Ratchet & Clank) more than Naughty Dog's (Jak and Daxter). However, since the announcement of SO, I have been unable to feel anything but betrayed. I tried to continue playing Resistance and just couldn't. Insomniac tried to claim they pride themselves on being independent and thought X1 was a perfect fit for Sunset Overdrive. However, with the then draconian policies of X1, all it seemed they said is that MS offered them a buttload of cash and they sold out. Instead of focusing on content, they are focused on money and have alienated their hardcore and loyal fans. Not to mention, ever since they began branching out into multi-plat games, the quality of their games has gone way down (FUSE was garbage). I hope Ted Price knows what he is doing, he has betrayed his fan base and gambled on a piece of hardware that has met with very harsh criticism. I hope this works out for Insomniac, because if it doesn't and they try to return to Playstation, we may not be here to support them. Thanks for the memories, Insomniac, but like all of my exes, we are done.

Well, to me, there isn't a problem with the Xbox One at all, except maybe the price. The fact they're reversing the DRM issues as well as the Online Issues and other stuff, is great, It's actually got me interested in it, and I'm sure I'll be buying one now... In a year with a substantial price drop of course. There's nothing wrong with Insomniac going to Xbox for their game, which doesn't look that impressive or good to be honest.

For me, the damage has been done with X1. I considered one before MS announced the X1, but I have no interest anymore. As for Insomniac, they are obviously free to do whatever they wish, but as a Playstation gamer and one who has been completely loyal to Insomniac for over 15 years, this is nothing but I gruesome stab in the back.

Everybody says that, but It's July, People can get it over pretty quickly, as did I and several of my friends. If they did this in say, September, then yes damage is already done, but it showed that they obviously take feedback seriously and criticism and fixed the problems that the complaints addressed. I was losing interest in buying one, but the Exclusives had my interest, and with the quick one-eighty, I'm quite happy now.
I wonder how you would feel if Quantic Dream went to Xbox haha, which would be a dream for me. The move Insomniac is making means nothing really, Their last bunch of games weren't really that good, maybe this will revitalize major interest in wanting to create something great. Besides what if Sunset Overdrive is just one Insomniac exclusive for the Xbox One and they're still planning on doing stuff with Sony. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors.

This is all true. While I love Quantic Dream (I would rank Heavy Rain in the top 10 for game of the generation and Beyond could very well be the PS3's swan song), it wouldn't be quite the same. QD has only made 4 games for Sony: Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy here in the states), Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and it's currently unannounced PS4 game. Insomniac, along with Naughty Dog, essentially built the Playstation brand. Spyro, Ratchet and Resistance each sold the PS1, PS2 and PS3 respectively. Insomniac defecting to Microsoft is in another league from Quantic Dream. That's why it feels like so much of a betrayal. I would equate it to Bungie making games EXCLUSIVELY for Sony (Destiny is not exclusive) or Halo releasing on Playstation.
Even without the DRM policies, X1 just doesn't excite me right now. Quantum Break looks interesting, but that one could either be fantastic or a total failure. Sunset Overdrive is too hard to talk about. Forza is Gran Turismo. I have ZERO interest in Titanfall (which will be coming to PS4 anyway) and Ryse, which was the one I was most excited for, looked very unimpressive at E3. So as it stands now, my interest in X1 is very minimal. That could change however with the announcement of one game....I'll let you figure out which one that is, Ace.

Valid point, But I've never been loyal to any developer, as sooner or later, they all sell out or do something too different.
I'm not sure what one game that is...

Alan Wake 2. If they announced that, I would seriously consider an X1. Alas, we know that it currently isn't in development and given Remedy's timetables, Quantum Break will probably not hit until 2015 at the earliest meaning we may not even see Alan Wake 2 until at least 2018, if at all....

Ahh, Alan Wake 2
Finished the Black Ops II campaign last night on veteran difficulty in about 4 hours. Wasn't that bad, pretty easy. The new maps for multiplayer are okay, thought the new zombies map Buried is tons of fun whether you're playing with people or by yourself.
Still can't bring myself to finish Tomb Raider however.

That must be the easiest veteran campaign in the whole series.

It actually was surprisingly. There was one mission that was a pain in the ass though and took the longest, but for the most part, I just rushed through the whole thing, racked up three achievements with a total of 115 Gamerscore, so It wasn't that bad. I liked it since Black Ops II is easily my favorite COD Campaign of the franchise.

Interesting. I've only beaten Veteran on World at War (although it is the only one I've attempted). I'll get to it once it comes from gamefly. I just sent back Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse (6/10) and will be blowing through DMC: Devil May Cry mainly to see what all the hate is about. I think I'll get BO2 after that and give it a shot. For the most part, the last few Treyarch entries have been the better ones so I'll give it a chance. I'm also getting excited for Beyond: Two Souls. Having throughly combed through The Last of Us, I'm ready for the next major PS3 release. I just haven't decided if I should pre-order it or not.

World At War on veteran was ridiculous. Treyarch does a much better job creating a COD game than Infinity Ward does.

IW did great on CoD1, CoD2 and CoD4. MW2 sucked as did MW3 (although I'm not sure that even counts as Infinity Ward). Treyarch got off to a rough start with CoD3, but World at War is a great entry and while I didn't fully enjoy Black Ops, it is a much better entry than either of the last 2 Infinity Ward efforts.

Sony announces Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus. Now if it truly is a return to form and we get another phenomenal Ratchet & Clank title a la Up Your Arsenal and A Crack in Time, then it may be the first step in Insomniac mending it's relationship with it's longtime Playstation fans.

It's not like they left Sony to begin. They made a one-off game with Microsoft, not a big deal, people need to get over it.

I hope they release Grand Theft Auto V on the PC. I've played all the others for the PC, but they always seem to wait and wait to announce they are releasing for the PC. The trailer looks like it will be a lot of fun.

I think it will EVENTUALLY make it to PC. I think it will even find itself to PS4 and X1. Now for how long that takes, I can't say.

I'd just like to highly suggest the Battlefield series to all of you put out by DICE. I just recently game my first Battlefield game (that being Battlefield 3) a try and let me say that I've been hooked. It plays like a PC Multiplayer game and is loads of fun. The campaign was enjoyable as well with surprisingly good cut-scenes and story developments. Online multiplayer is where the game really shines and there is loads of modes, maps, upgrades and customization options to play around with including a bunch of DLC.
An awesome FPS mixed with maneuvering some sweet wartime vehicles does a Bond fan quite nicely.
Highly suggested!
