I thought they were pretty good and return to form after QoS. I particularly liked DC's one-handed walther pose during the mirror-shooting section. Reminded me of Connery's pose with the walther in DR and FRWL. I am told this title sequence is now on youtube but I am unable to clarify this.

In my opinion, they were the best in the whole saga.

Yes it's on YouTube as I just watched it right now. It's certainly miles better than MK12's job on QOS. I wouldn't say It's the best of all of them, but it's certainly up there and it is damn well done. The darkest opening titles of all the films. While I still dislike Adele's song, it is very moody and works with the opening titles a lot.

Brilliant. Better than 'Quantum Of Solace' and I think better than 'Casino Royale' for relevance to the story, and just the darker tone. The colours, the motives, the use of Craig and even Bardem. It just worked with Adele's haunting vocals and it was a perfect match.

And the skull was very Binder-esque. Great stuff.

I've seen Skyfall only one time and when the titles came in I wasn't enthusiastic. But after watching the movie I have to say that they fit very well with the whole tone of Skyfall.

The Rorschach stuff for the bridge is really neat. Especially when Deakins' credit comes on (appropriately).

I like the girl with the gun as well. Very '80s Binder.

I liked the titles but they also reminded me a bit of a beginning of a SIMPSONS Halloween special.

They work very well with the general tone (and plot) of the movie. Something you might find out only after seeing Skyfall.

I just watched the titles on You Tube and I have to say I liked them a whole lot. One thing I noticed is when Daniel is firing at the mirrors, he looked a lot like the way Connery shot. Anyone else pick up on that?

Fred and Ace, if you read my first post you'll see that I also noticed this homage to SC's distinctive way of firing the walther. He used this move most notably in the scene where he meets Felixstowe in DN and at the gypsy camp battle in FRWL. When DC does it too it's just a wonderful moment!

Meant 'Felix' not Felixstowe! Damned predictive apple text!!

I greatly enjoyed the title sequence, but all the skulls and splattered ink really reminded me of the Venture Bros. There's a brief point where black and white rorschachy stuff is floating before the screen, and it seriously looks like the Venture Bros. opening sequence. I guess both series are indebted to the old-school "boys' adventure" sensibility, but man is it uncannily similar.

Felixstowe... is that the country manse in rural Texas where Leiter was raised by a grizzled ranch-hand after his parents died in a cow-tipping accident?

In my opinion they we'rent as grat as CR's titles which were a strong contender for the best Bond title sequence ever, but still very good. Kleinman certainly is the only true successor of the great Maurice Binder.

They were terrific and far more Binder-esque (using real, focused shots of Craig and girls and not just all CGI) than they've been in years. The Rorschach stuff was mindblowing.

Much like the song for "Licence to Kill", repeated listenings of the Adele song have made the song really grow on me. I really like it now and it suits the film very well.

Craig is just amazing in the titles sequence. My friend mentioning that he even looks like Connery in some shots just sweetened the deal (but for my money this film seals the deal: Craig is better than Connery).

Love the titles! Although, did anyone notice the amounts of awkward cuts. Especially the shot of Bond turning to the screen, with the bullet wound in his shoulder. The camera cuts straight to it, instead of a nice slow zoom in I was expecting.

Those are jump cuts, pioneered by the French New Wave. Peter Hunt used them a lot.

Yeah, I knew they were jump cuts. They just looked rather awkward, even though they were timed perfectly with the music. It didn't flow that well in some parts.

I liked the titles a lot - even though there was stuff in there that I onlyt understood later in the movie - like the house in Scotland. The titles also worked well with the song - which I didn't like until I saw the movie - and the whole theme of life and death.

In two sections of the surreal sequence, an younger James Bond is seen (his eyes at least), as if he remembered Skyfall and the 2 days he was hidden in that secret tunnel (after the death of his parents).

Loved the opening titles. I thought the abridged version of the song worked better than the full version too.

On second viewing, the titles were even better for me - I loved the use of Craig in them, almost in a limbo between life and death, shooting at the mirrors haunting him. Brilliant stuff.

Also, the shot of what looked like a 'young' Daniel Craig's Bond within Skyfall Lodge, his almost fearful eyes...and then replaced with the older Bond's eyes at the end.

I never noticed that and had it in context until the first time watching it.

Brilliant tiles, and I think better than 'Casino Royale' for how it relates to the film, mixed with the vocals and images used - the most Binder one to date. Skulls, Walthers, naked ladies, floating dragons and even the Oriental girl pointing a gun at the screen - if that's not Connery or Moore era titles for you, sue me!

I love 'em; there may be slightly too many ideas in them, though. When we get to the black and white bit it almost changes style completely and is maybe feeling a bit over-full.

Amazing! Daniel Kleinman showed MK12 how to do it. This could be his best work to date. Certain in the top three along with GoldenEye and Casino Royale.

Absolutely one of the best opening titles ever. Goes there on top with Casino and the best works of Binder.

Yes there is.

As for the titles, I think they are awesome and certainly among the best of the entire series.
