I wonder what kind of figures can Australia, Japan & China bring into the BO?

They took 60m$ for QOS. 100m$ seems possible thinking of the hype, Shangai, Macau and Hashima island being used etc.

Australia:35m
China: 35m
Japan: 30m

The "James Wilkes Bond" phenomenon has already been observed in real life. Several weeks ago someone uploaded a photo of the two posters arranged that way, I think in a London tube station.

A slight sidebar from me here, for which I apologise, but I have a quick quiz...

Question:
Who killed Abraham Lincoln?

Answer:

So is it safe to say we have the biggest Bond film since the Golden Era on our hands here?

Box Office Mojo is currently projecting Skyfall to make a run for over $900 million which would make Skyfall the third highest grossing Bond film (adjusted for inflation), perhaps shy of Goldfinger, but still behind Thunderball’s billion dollar record

By the end of next weekend, I'd wager it will be higher than that.
Possibly very close to CR and QoS's total North American gross.

The U.S estimate for Tuesday seems to be $7m. That's a good hold from Monday.
(First Tuesdays for QoS = $4m and CR = $4.5m)

Yes, that will be a problem. The next movie must atleast pass CR and/or QOS if it cant pass SF. SF had many advantages: 50 years, massive advertisement, olympics etc. I think the next one will be accepted as a sucess if it can reach %10 less than SF did.

Bond 24 will be riding on the back of a phenomenal success. That should be useful for its status as an event film.
I don't think many thought the success of TDK was a hinderance to TDKR... or GF to TB for that matter.

I can see Twilight maybe doing better than Skyfall this weekend (I know, it's most unfortunate), but I honestly think once the initial excitement for Twilight fans is over that Skyfall will be back on top. Of course I'm biased as a Bond fan, but to me the success of Skyfall has more of a longevity to it. I could be totally wrong though.

Not anymore, it's slightly rotten at 57%. I have no interest in the Twilight movies, hopefully Skyfall will beat it this weekend.

No it won't. I know this because my dorm building is 13 floors of girls and I heard them talking about twilight tonight, so there is no way twilight will beat out skyfall which is very depressing. I will probably end up seeing twilight because my mom is obsessed with the movies so she will want me to go with her. That being said even after seeing Skyfall twice, I want to see it again. It is that good. :)
