Don’t you think that an epilogue like that, with little hissy fits and storming off to the roof, would be a bit of a damp squib?

Depends how it's done (if it's done at all). Ending the film in an office isn't exactly epic, either.

I know, that's why I think something very dramatic will unfold there that will be something of a cliffhanger for Bond 24.

No, the Bulldog is the new M.
Great for the character posters next time.

His portrayal of M has been described as ‘Churchillian’.

Interesting stuff again. Thanks for posting. I'm particularly cheered by the fact he seems to be pointing to Fiennes indeed becoming M (and the bulldog being Blofeld, naturally).

If Baz Bamigboye does turn out to be right on all of these points, he'll definitely be one to watch for the pre-production phase of BOND 24. Certainly seems to be well-connected in the Bond world.

I went back through a number of his Skyfall scoops today, he's been spot on from the start. It's why the Moneypenny thing is so convincing for me - this is the 4th time he's said it too.
The Fiennes info, with the he knows something else and has known for ages stuff is very interesting, and when I put it with the 'darkly complex' remark, well... if Fiennes is M, it's not an M as we know it.

I'm guessing Bond is standing on the roof gazing outwards at London and the Union Jack when he is joined by Eve?
She then gives him the box and heads back inside. After opening the box to reveal the bulldog, he smirks to himself and tosses it off the roof.

He heads back into the office, past Penny and takes a seat at M's desk. He is then handed a folder which says something on it to hint that organisation QUANTUM is going to be the topic of Bond 24. Screen fades to credits...

It could happen....!

Very interesting, thanks for the information from the book. From everything we know about Eve, I'm now at the stage where I'd be more surprised if she didn't turn out to be Eve Moneypenny.

I've been convinced for a while, but not sure if I briefly doubted him. Oddly the moment I was largely sure was when Naomie Harris came out and said the character was nothing like Moneypenny and not remotely desk bound. Too much protestation, I thought!

One of the worst kept secrets of the whole production. How did it get out though? It's actually been rumored (till being confirmed just now) for a long time now.

Yes, you'd almost believe that they were trained to make people believe in the fiction they speak.

Weird that they explicitly denied the return of Moneypenny while boldly advertising the return of Q. Anyway, it suits me. Though I'm curious to see how Eve's transformation from field agent to desk agent is handled.

Well, exactly. How does a person go from field agent to desk jockey without it being perceived as an ignominious demotion? Unless this version of Moneypenny isn't a desk jockey at all...

Yes, it seems to be a case of Eve (Moneypenny) being taken off work as a field agent, but given the not unsubstantial role of M's secretary. Presumably the spin is that Mallory is impressed by her response to the attack on the Board of Inquiry room, and offers her a job in his new position.

The secretary to the head of MI6 isn't exactly a demotion. The amount of trust put on to you, you are privy to the most secure information, you are the go between heads of state, foreign governments etc and M. I'd imagine the pay is far higher than her previous position as a lesser agent to Bond etc. I'd suspect the job, for Eve, is quite a promotion.

It's hard to imagine it as a demotion. If you think about it, M demanded that Eve took the shot, it wan't Eve's call, and secondly that shot was so difficult that I don't see the fact that she missed to be her fault, really.
