As for characters, Gala Brand is too good of a name not to be used at some point, and I would love to see Mary Goodnight done properly.

Gala Brand does need to make an appearance, although they should probably wait to use her a couple more films down the line so that they can end the Bond/Gala relationship in the film in a similar fashion to how it ends in the novel. Doing that now might make things somewhat repetitive.

Agreed on Goodnight. I'd love to see her return to the series, albeit in a serious interpretation of the character. I'd love to see Yvonne Strahovski take on that role should the character ever return.

I've been thinking about Yvonne Strahovski being a Bond Girl lately, and I think she'd make a great Goodnight.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet, if so, my apoligies:

I think Zhang Ziyi would make an excellent Bond Girl. She was in the film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and a few other kung-fu movies. I think she'd be good as like a partner to Bond or something along those lines. Look her up.

Moreena Baccarin (Homeland , Firefly , Serenity , V) would be a perfect Bond Girl.
Also "Kerry Ellis" should sing the next Bond Theme and I think it's time for A Bond film
to be set partially in Australia. ;)

Seems Daniel Craig wants Rhianna as a 'dirtier' future Bond Girl...

He recruited both the director Sam Mendes and villain Javier Bardem to join him in the latest 007 installment, Skyfall. And now Daniel Craig has revealed his top pick for the next Bond girl.

While being interviewed on Globalgrind.com the British star revealed he can see singer Rihanna playing the MI6 agent's love interest.

Craig, who was promoting the 23rd Bond movie on the web show, was asked by interviewer Ben Lyons: 'Who makes a better Bond girl: Rihanna or Beyonce?'

Posted Image

After a moment's hesitation, Craig, who is playing the legendary spy for the third time replied: 'Rihanna, I think.' Questioning Craig's choice as to why he would choose the Diamonds singer he said: 'She's dirtier.'

But when the same question was put to Skyfall's leading ladies, Naomie Harris and Bérénice Marlohe, shortly afterwards they went for Beyonce. Upon being told their co-star had picked the 24-year-old Barbadian recording artist on the basis of her being 'dirtier', the pair looked shocked. 'Is that what you need to be a Bond girl?' asked Naomie, who plays Eve in the new film.

On hearing the news Rihanna, who made her acting debut earlier this year in the sci-fi blockbuster Battleship, tweeted: 'Daniel Craig Says Rihanna Would Be An Ideal Bond Girl.. this makes me happy'

Over the years the coveted role of James' leading lady has gone to a range of actresses including Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore in Goldfinger, Jane Seymour as Solitaire in Live and Let Die, Halle Berry as Jinx in Die Another Die, and Ursula Andress as Honey Ryder in Dr No.

Daniel, who has just signed up for another two James Bond movies, recently revealed on the Jimmy Kimmel show that he had recruited both the director, Sam Mendes, and co-star, Javier Bardem, to sign up for Skyfall, the 23rd film in the 007 franchise.

In all three Daniel Craig Bond films, the Bond Girls have had an exotic look. Think its time for some blonde, blue-eyed girls to take a starring role in the next two upcoming Bond films.

I never understood the idea that a Bond Girl actress has to be debuting or obscure. Were Eva Green or Olga Kurleynko too famous? They were both in wide releases a lot of fans had previously seen(Dreamers, Max Payne, Hitman). Someone mentioned Morena Baccarin; I recognized her name and face immediately from the formerly ubiquitous V promos despite never seeing the show. Is she out? I don't think fame matters. Javier Bardem was well known and was awesome as Silva. I think the key (for Bond Girl, villain, ally, henchman, etc.) is to have an actress who is talented with a well-crafted character who serves an important role to the story. If someone very or somewhat well known fits the bill, great. If someone with no credits to her name fits the bill and wows the casting directors/producers/director, then that's great too.

And that's why Yvonne Strahovski should be in Bond 24.

They ought to make up for the not-so-extensive appearance of Séverine by casting twin Bond girls. That'd be fun. I'm not sure how they could make it work though.

Or Yvonne Strahovski. That's more than acceptable. =D

Benson had twin Bond girls in DOUBLESHOT, so perhaps they could look towards that novel for potential character ideas for a twin setup for casting the Bond girls. I think it would be interesting to see.

Also nice to see another fan of EON casting Yvonne Strahovski in a future Bond film.

I want to see them cast an unknown Russian actress as a femme fatale/assassin, it could be a response to the Marvel films inexplicably American Black Widow.

I think the should rule out American women and well established actresses.

I am sure women like Scarlette Johanson and Marion Cotillard would be great but they've casted well known actresses for the Brosnan films and look how well that turned out. The women they chose for the last three films worked out well because they didn't have agents trying to fit in some extra lines. Eva Green was the most high profiled Bond girl and she got to have a dramatic death scene.

I am hoping for an Indian actress. Such as Ayesha Takia.

And no to Jennifer Lawrence please.

I don't think that we should rule American and well established actresses out at all.  There are plenty of established actresses, as well as American actresses, who could step into a Bond girl role and do an excellent job with it.

I just think they will take away from the leading man. At least see if they have chemistry and not as big of an ego. To me they helped ruin some of the Brosnan films.

Why rule American girls out?

Bond has had many American girls, there's no reason why he shouldn't have more. Established actresses, sure, but be careful when choosing, or we might end up with another Jinx.

I've liked Alison Brie as of late.
