Is that a dummy he's fighting with at 0.05?
No ren, that's a real bad-guy, with possibly another chap looking on; you can just see him to the left of the screen...could it be Silva maybe interrogating Bond before he tries to escape?

Anyway, I decided I couldn't wait until I got back home tonight to watch it on my computer (my office one is blocked), so I watched it on my phone.
In one word: "Wow!". Haven't seen anything quite like that for a Bond. Intriguing, compelling, appealing, breathtaking... Wow!

Am I losing my head, or was there a thread dedicated to the newly released trailer just minutes ago?...
Yes, I had that thread open on my screen and refreshed to see new comments and it was gone!
Regardless, amazing trailer, and our first good look at Silva! The US domestic trailer has also been releases and is slightly different. What an exciting day to be a Bond fan.

Has Javier been given some sort of fake facelift?

Anyway, what a blast! This looks like we're gonna get a super-high-profile movie, not just "one more Bond". Such a thrill!
I love the cinematography. The colors, the lighting of the sets, the sets themselves, everything is a feast for the eyes.
And everythime I see Fiennes I'm a happy man; so seeing him in a Bond is a dream come true.
All in all, this teaser really does the job: I'm teased all right. Now bring on the full movie!...

Whatever it is, he's creepy as hell.

I had the same thought.

Yep. Creepy/insane/baddie mood. Somehow reminiscent of Walken's Zorin, in a way. I love that.Whatever it is, he's creepy as hell.

Only joking, it looks fantastic
I'd hazard a bet that the bridge fall is the end of the pre-titles and the wide of MI6 fades in from the titles, then into Bond's obituary.
That looked a little like Mr White lying dead in that armchair at the beginning! If so, then is there some continuity with the previous 2 films (personally i hope so, i'd love to see Silva at the head of Quantum)
ETA: Btw, Bardem's make up, slightly stretching his eyes and nose reminds me of the scary Joe Pesci character in Martin Scorsese's Casino.

I just looked back at it, at first glance I didn't think it did look like him, but then I looked at the right of his face, and it really does. I doubt it is though due to Jesper Christensen's comments a couple of years ago. It would be a nice, short and sweet way to tie that up though if that's right at the start of the film. That looked a little like Mr White lying dead in that armchair at the beginning! Secondly, linking this with the teaser a month or so back, I can't help but think that there is Fleming source material involved here, from the books "You Only Live Twice" and "The Man With The Golden Gun".
Thirdly, is Silva the only major villain? I wonder?

I guess those who called for a "lighter tone" Bond will have to wait at least until the next one! This one looks dark and heavy with meaning.

Must be one of the most appealing teasers I've seen (alongside The Expendables 2, in a whole different category)

I'm guessing Fiennes is dirty.
Maybe he is the new M, since his name is Mallory... Or is that too obvious, is he the joker up Mendes sleeve?

Oh well...
...Then again, 'Mr White' might not've been that character's real name. Perhaps it might've been the name you supplied in your spoiler?!

I hope Marc Foster see this and retire from the world cinema.
His tribulations on World War Z may well make that happen at least in terms of action movies. I hope he returns to more thought provoking medium budgeted movies as he has great talent in that arena; Monsters Ball, Stranger Than Fiction and The Kite Runner are all fine movies.
On a side note i love QoS - i just think he didn't understand how to cover the action adequately. It smelt of all storyboard and no coverage, making a tough edit. But the opera scene is one of the best in the franchise, IMHO.
Anyway, back to Skyfallllllll.....

Update: IMDB, as well as:
http://www.movieweb....yfall/cast-crew
Have a fairly comprehensive cast list, but no mention of the character you named. Perhaps this is because his part is so small (and non- speaking), or could it be they don't want to give away the name of the actor (Jesper Christensen).
This is where you pull the rug out from under me with the name of the actor
