Movie 43 - 1.5/5

I only saw this because A friend wanted to see it and I figured I can get out of the house for a while.

The move consists of shorts, and that's about it, although it's tiedin to another short. The film started off funny and then took a turn where I stopped laughing because I realized if I wanted to hear this stuff, I'd go hangout with a bunch of High school kids. There's a couple of parts that are funny and some that are laugh out loud hilarious, then there's parts I though we're complete S**t and though to myself "How do these people find this funny?!".

I honestly wanted to see Jason Statham's new film 'Parker', but he didn't want to see it so we ended up with this. Save your money, redbox it, don't waste a Netflix rental on it.

I will say though that the short with Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts was absolutely hilarious.

I'm going to see that movie tonight! I hope it's good, it looks a little stupid.

I don't know the whole trailer of the movie when I saw it just made it look extremely cheesy.

It's supposed to be though. People can't expect Oscar winners  with every film they see. Some films are made simply to entertain on a camp level.

Agreed.  I don't think that it's really even fair to expect anything other than camp from something entitled HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS.  Even so, it looks like it could be a fun film, and there will at least be some amount of decent acting with Arterton and Renner in the lead roles.

Obviously, I am not expecting an oscar winner. I am just saying that it doesn't look like my cup of tea, that's all.

Shame as she looks and resembles nothing of the character, Ava Lord. Hopefully her acting makes up for the appearance. Sin City 2 is already shaping up to be my most anticipated film of the year. 8 years later, and we finally get a sequel.

So I'm now going to announce my Most Anticipated film of 2013. *DRUM ROLL*

'Only God Forgives' starring Ryan Gosling in a film by Nicolas Winding Refn.

only_god_forgives_1.jpg

I thought 'Drive' was average, great soundtrack, great cinematography, decent acting, good direction, terrible script. The premise of this film sounds very good, and it looks very violent and pleasing to eyes as far as cinematography goes. What's also great is that Thai Boxing and Muay Thai is centered around the film, and those are my favorite forms of mixed martial arts. Very excited for this film nonetheless.

Here's a small clip of the film.

I can't believe that 'The Last Stand' is being pulled from the UK cinemas next week, it's only been out 2 weeks and I've not been able to see it.

Gutted!!

Bullet To The Head - 4/5

If you like action movies with very little character development, violent bloody action, language, and a somewhat thin plot line, oh and Sylvester Stallone, then that's Bullet To The Head. An enjoyable film, lot's of fun, Stallone is good, not great, but it's definitely an old-school action movie for today's time and is very enjoyable. I think Schwarzenegger's 'The Last Stand' is better, but this is just as good.

Shouldn't that really be called Iron Man 4? Wasn't The Avengers, Iron Man 3?

No... Avengers was the Avengers the combined team. This is the third solo story of Iron Man, therefore Iron Man 3.
