I guess everything about 007: Legends has dried up now hasn't it, until you all get the game for Christmas? I've had a look around for any news on future developments or additions to the game but nothing!

Fizzled out quickly.

I've given up on the game completely.

Slowly starting to see other Video game discussion being put into here, perhaps a 'General Video Game Discussion' thread should be started lol.

Well 007 Legends is the christmas gift I have made to myself... And when I do that, I wait until the 25th of december, so I haven't touched it. What I am telling myself is this:

- The only reason for me to have Bond Daniel Craig to play in all the missions, was because he was voicing it, that would have been cool. But since, this wasn't him, why the heck did they keep Craig for all the missions. I would have much rather liked a Bond Game with the faces of Connery, Moore, Lazenby, Dalton, Brosnan and Craig and drop the continuity between the missions and make the missions completely independant

- I have viewed the trailer for the Skyfall DLC... So It's out on PS 2 ;-)

- But what I do not understand, is that from the trailers, 007 Legends seemed like a sequel to Goldeneye Reloaded, and this one was pretty fun (not top notch, but fun). So if it is approximatively the same game, how can Legends sucks and Goldeneye be cool? Maybe you can enlighten me

One last thing, Bond has dropped the P99 for four years now, to go back to the PPK, why do game developpers still gives him the P99

Well Howland, this isn't a direct sequel to 'GoldenEye: Reloaded', this is just another game featuring Craig's Bond in another mission.

And the main reason 'Legends' is bad is that is is rushed, clearly pasted on the 'GoldenEye: Reloaded' game engine, and then glossed over with the missions themselves.

The idea of playing the iconic missions was the selling point, but the missions don't form a storyline, it's rushed from one to the other, and even the detail in the levels lacks some imagination that Bond fans would love to see, like better rendering of levels, far better and taxing boss battles (you'll see what I mean!) and maybe some decent driving levels featuring the classic cars. It is a cash-in on James Bond and the 50th Anniversary to sell copies.

I am very dissapointed that this big chance for classic Bond film gameplay has been wasted. Sloppy controls, bad AI who are more like robots than humans and pretty much the levels require you to shoot and destroy everything you can, take pictures of the villains, scan fingerprints and hack locks - that's it. All blended in with the classic elements, so you will do all that generic stuff at Fort Knox...and then all again, but in Sanchez's hideout.... and then again but in Piz Gloira....and then again, well you get my drift.

There are nice moments, meeting the familiar characters we know and love and seeing some familiar film locations, but that's it. Very little exciting Bond music to carry you on, and as you say, the P99 returns for some reason. And the 'Skyfall' mission is simply embarrasing. It's a disgusting way to end the game as a "story", and embarrasing to represent the brilliant film in this shoddy way...again, you'll see what I mean with it. It all starts and ends with Patrice, that's the 'Skyfall' film summed up in the games eyes.

Sorry to be blunt, but it's very dissapointing to have a game like this rushed out for dedicated, enthusiastic Bond gamers and fans like us.

Remember that bloody "Tomorrow Never Dies" game for PS1 everybody hates? Well, in that game, if you shoot Paris, Q or anybody you can call your "ally", the game stopped and you get "Mission Failed". In "GoldenEye" (N64) you get the objective failed for killing an ally too (even when you could continue the mission), That happened in most Bond games, even in Activision's "Quantum of Solace". Why, why, why in hell are our allies inmune to the bullets in "Blood Stone" and "007 Legends"? You can shoot your enemies through them!

I will wait until this game price drop to under $20 and buy it.......the current price is not worth it.........seriously this game should be free since graphic/storyline is poor and crappy.........

I would like to see a MMOROG game for Bond.........a game that everyone can play for free and play your favourite character or something......

Amazon still has it at $60. I imagine by Christmas/Boxing Day it'll drop drastically considering the flop it's been.

I, for one, would love a game where you could create your own agent, have it start at rookie and make him evolve as a "00". I'd like a roleplaying game in the universe of 007. But it wouldn't be an endless shooter like the games nowadays. No, you would have to battle your nemesis in a game of poker, you would have to seduce the Bond Girl or more rather the [Name of your Agent] girl with witty dialogue, withstand being kicked in the nuts by a vicious villain, defuse the bomb with [Matricule Number] seconds remaining.

Of course there would be fights and pursuit and stealth, but it would be a part of the game.

If this game came out, I would be so all over it, that I guarantee that my wife would divorce me in a fortnight

I'd love to see this kind of a game as well.

Problem is, something like this would actually require some effort to make rather than simply putting another CoD clone out onto the market and expecting the Bond fans to make it a hit because it has "007" on the box.

And considering that Activision puts ZERO effort into any of its games (the freaking graphics engine in CoD of all games hasn't been updated since 2007), that won't happen so long as Activision still owns the Bond license.

Actually, there's major diffences between Infinity Ward's COD games and Treyarch's COD Games.

You may not see them, but its all there. Treyarch's COD games tend to look more polished and cleaner.

Post-COD4 I would actually agree with that. Although I haven't played BO2 and probably won't for awhile.

BO2 is worth it, looks much better than the first BO and is better looking than MW3

That's a start I guess. However, I've pretty much given up on Call of Duty. WaW was the last one I liked. MW2 got worse every time I played it and I never liked BO or MW3. It just pains me that Activision decided it was those games that Bond should be modeled after. Not far superior and decidedly more spy thrillerish games like Splinter Cell or Metal Gear.
