Just started the DLC. Greeted by Blood Stone music, and the music from the DAD chase reused for the bike chase!

Does it come in the form of an update or just DLC?

Well, I'll have a look tonight if it's out for UK Xbox users and trifle through it and then it's done.

Got this also from MI6 about the chart performance. The last paragraph speaks volumes and hope EON and Activision see how much they've cocked up the big chance for a true 50th Anniversary James Bond game...

The new James Bond videogame '007 Legends' had a satisfactory entry in the the UK sales charts, but has quickly descended out of the Top 20.

'007 Legends' entered the UK Top 40 Entertainment Software (all prices) chart on week ending October 20th at #12. Other new entries that week included "Doom 3: BFG Edition" at #5, and "Skylanders Giants", also from Activision, at #2.

The split between Xbox 360 and PS3 sales were 51/49 in favour of the Microsoft platform.

A week later, "007 Legends" slipped two places to #14, and then left the top 20 in its third week of release, slumping to #24. The market for first person shooters will be encompassed by the release of the new "Call of Duty" title this week.

Unfortunately, official sales charts are not publicly released in the USA, but industry tracker VG Chartz estimates the game has sold 13,286 units in 3 weeks, which would make it the poorest performing 007 title in recent years
.

In such a big 50th year, even this can't help sell decent numbers of the new Bond game. What a shame!

Why drag this thing out?! Just let's have it and get it done - it's hardly Top Secret material and nothing new anyway! What another bloody wasted film.

I REALLY didn't think I'd be so dissapointed with how this game has panned out, as I try to see the love in every Bond product. This has a few good moments but overall everything is very weak, and this is annoying, as if 'Skyfall' DLC is going to be worth the wait and be THE mission of the game to blow us out the water!

Yeah, right.

Good to see that the general public has cast their vote against Activision's Bond games. I would imagine that the poor sales are due in part to how bad the game has looked at every turn, but also due to Activision's very poor efforts with the Bond franchise leading up to 007 LEGENDS. They have yet to make a Bond game that can even be considered mediocre, and thankfully the public has called them on it.

I just want the DLC to come out, so I can play it, finish the game, get the achievements, send it back to Gamefly. I just can't seem to get myself to replay it anymore.

Makes you think how the next Bond game will take off now. This is almost like 'Die Another Day' of the game series, except instead of a 40th Anniversary film mess it's a 50th Anniversary game mess.

Let's hope our next James Bond game is something like the 2006 'Casino Royale' shake-up and it defies all expectations. Am I counting too much on this again?

I think 007 Legends has sold less than Grabbed by the Ghoulies (the difference is that GBTG is a very good game).

I wonder if EON or whoever's responsible will learn from this and will give the license to another developer (which, in my opinion, should be Rare).

Fingers crossed they've taken note of the backlash to this game that should have been a benchmark for the Bond game series but ended up the worst.

No more Bond games, for a very long time. At least before or after Bond 24.

Agreed. Too many have been released in the last few years I think due to sloppy, rushed production and people are seeing this and it's stating to make a horrible name for James Bond video games which it shouldn't have to carry.

I agree there should be a long gap now, let the bad games fizzle out and really put effort into a new game that encompasses winning game design and production.

Those in the UK (with a PS3 at least) & Australia should be able to download the DLC now. I was able to download the DLC here in Aus the other day from the PSN store, and Skyfall (the film) isn't even out here yet.

Took me probably just over half an hour to complete all the DLC. It feels tacked on, and flat like the rest of the game.

The 2 year gap between Quantum Of Solace and Blood Stone was good, Blood Stone is my favorite Third-Person-Bond game and is a good and underrated game as well.

The DLC is already out on Xbox, it came out on Friday. I didn't notice until yesterday. It has to be the worst set of missions in the game, the Shanghai "level" is a joke.

I've not played Blood Stone since it came out, first week release. I actually want to go and play this again after Legends as I've probably forgotten a half-decent Bond game.

I'll see if I can find the Xbox DLC tonight and try finish Legends tonight. If this was Bond's legend in reality, what a way to fizzle out! Thanks for the heads up Pete. Wasn't sure if it was 9th or 20th!

Funny...going back to the start of this thread, how many of our hopes and wants were slowly eaten away by Activision. Some of us got missions right, others way off.

And interesting in the early footage from 'Moonraker', the used Lois Chile's Holly Goodhead skin with her long hair, but now it's a new model with short hair in the final game. Wonder what happened there...?

Hopefully the poor sales will encourage them to give the license to another company who will actually do something worthwhile with it.

Well, utter s**t. Sorry, but that excuse for 'Skyfall' DLC was totally rubbish. What the hell were they worried about spoiling having it out with the actual game, rather than an add on? Everything that happens, we either see in the trailers and it starts and ends with Patrice - no connections to M, Silva or MI6. As some lucky guys here...Ace... haven't played this yet, I don't want to ruin the surprise(!) so I'll hide my little 'review'...

Spoiler

The fact 'Moonraker' ended openly, and then we have to go to additional content for 'Skyfall' made me sick. I can't tell how the actual game ended as 'Skyfall' felt like a sheer free DLC add-on and nothing to the game itself. I have no conclusion to the previous 6 films that were just passing time to play the mess of 'Skyfall'.
Oh, no, sorry, I do know how the game ends - a moral message with Bond saying "We all have to do what we have to do." Or something like that, and a triumphant blare of the Bond theme. Yeah, I was bored at that too.

Very sorry for this rant, but so, so dissapointed with the game and 'Skyfall' DLC itself. James Bond can return with Activision if he wants, but I won't be after this mess.

It's so sad to think they ruined it. It could have been the best James Bond game. I finished GoldenEye Reloaded on 007 Classic difficulty yesterday. It's not that bad, after all. I must say that I found the Classic difficulty a lot easier than the 007 and Agent ones.

I mean... if you're bored and need to fill time, then play away. It'll probably take you about 40 minutes (add another 10 for the re-load times as you're killed by Istanbul traffic and snipers...!)

It adds nothing to the main game (whatever that is, cobbled together with no story) and doesn't add to the film itself. As it's free, you'll probably want to get it and finish it so you've done it, but don't expect anything amazing. As the level starts, it's exciting thinking you can take part in 'Skyfall', but that fizzles out soon.

Sorry!
