Thanks! Did you see Amazon is now offering a smaller version of the book with purchase of Bond 50 blu ray set?
http://www.amazon.co...37958407&sr=8-1
I preordered the set in January so I'll get a little preview of what this book looks like.
I really am debating which books to pick up. Bond On Set for sure. I'd love the 600 page Bond Archives book by Paul Duncan. But man... $126!!!
What to do?

Some cracking books coming out, I have to say. Very excited. Can't wait for more information on the 600 page Bond Bible, or some images.

The b&w photos are nice and not just the usual and familiar ones.
Glad you noticed. It took a fair amount of digging to find good, previously unpublished ones.

This is a book written by a true fan of all Bond movies. For everyone who wants to get a quick and thorough analysis of every film (except SKYFALL), highlighting the actors´ different portrayals of the role, this is a nice opportunity. The interviews with every Bond actor offer great insight into their perspectives on playing this legendary character. The photo selection is especially interesting since it offers lots of shots that have not been used in other books on Bond. My only nitpick is that the interview with Brosnan does not include the time after DAD (but that would probably have proven to be too difficult, given Brosnan´s anger towards EON) and that I would have welcomed more of the author´s personal opinion on the actors´ choices. Sometimes the author´s re-telling of the movies´ plots is taking up too much space. On the other hand, this makes the book a nice reference guide.

Yes. It's in my cart, I just am having a hard time pulling the trigger.
There is so much James Bond merchandise coming out this year!!
Bond 50 blu ray is the must have for me. Then I'm trying to figure out which of the books to pick up.
Roger Moore's Bond on Bond as well as Bond On Set by Greg Williams are both must buys.
Trying to figure out what the damage will be after that and which ones I would also like to pick up.
It's a good thing that Christmas is right around the corner!
I must say that the The James Bond Archives book is very high on my list.
There is also:
Life 50 Years of James Bond
James Bond: 50 Years of Movie posters (DK)
James Bond Chronicle (DK)
Also coming in 4th Quarter is Indiana Jones box set on blu ray and also a possible Universal box set of Alfred Hitchcock films on blu ray.
Expensive 4th quarter!!
I'm still holding out hope that some of the James Bond soundtracks will be reissued as well.

SecretAgentFan really sold me on the 'James Bond Unmasked' but I'm still gearing towards the poster book and 'Bond on Bond.'

I'm pretty sure the must buys for me are down to the following:
Bond on Bond by Roger Moore
Bond On Set Skyfall by Greg Williams
007 - The James Bond Archives: Fifty Years of Bond, James Bond by Paul Duncan

Well, they did do the least Bond films - although they did some of the best ones.

Interestingly, Dalton and Lazenby are once again below the others, separated by the book title.
Well, they did do the least Bond films - although they did some of the best ones.
: )
Probably because they did the least amount of films.
I think you are right.

Anyway, my must-haves from the list of books that we--so far--know will be available are:
5. James Bond Unmasked (by Bill Desowitz)
4. The Music Of James Bond (by Jon Burlingame)
3. Bond On Bond: The Ultimate Book On 50 Years Of Bond Movies (by Roger Moore)
2. James Bond: 50 Years Of Movie Posters (by Dennis Gassner)
1. 007: The James Bond Archives: Fifty Years Of Bond, James Bond (by Paul Duncan)
The one glaring omission from this list, however, is the novelization of Skyfall. Please EON, authorize a novelization!
Ultimately, however, this will be a great year. Now I'll just have to find the time to read them all.

Lots to choose from this year and I'm afraid they're going to dent a lot of our wallets.

4. The Music Of James Bond (by Jon Burlingame)

I'll get the truncated version of DK's posters one with Bond 50 on Amazon. They are sending copies of the short version of the book with purchase of the Bond 50 set.
I'll probably see what I think about that one after I review my free short copy.
DK has another Bond book coming as well called The Bond Chronicle.
The music one could be interesting if done right.
Not sure about Unmasked. I'll probably wait for reviews and previews on some of them.
It seems like there's been so many Bond books through the years, it is hard to find something new and really informative.
That's what made books like On The Tracks of 007 and The Making of OHMSS such great reads!
For example, I really enjoyed DK's James Bond Encyclopedia, but it was pretty short on new information about the series.
