Shame they can't leave it standing; might've been a nice tourist attraction for the fans, innit?

The building of the Skyfall set is progressing quickly in Hankley Common. Some amazing pictures here.In one of them you can also see the chapel in the background.

Or it's actually called Skyfall Lodge.

I'm guessing Jim may be right given the "geographical significance" of the title.

This blog is a must if you want to keep you updated on state of the building for the Skyfall's set in Hankley Common. One more time, amazing pictures and interesting notes here ( showing also the chapel).
http://theforagingph...l-and-soldiers/

The following comment ,in particular, is potentially interesting:
'I’m glad we walked across to the chapel today, as it meant that we crossed an area of heath that has recently been burned. Whether this occurred naturally or was a controlled burning, I don’t know, but if it was a naturally/arson occurring fire, then they managed to contain it well.'

Could that be the place where the scene 165 was taken?

Great behind the scene photos. Confirmation of Skyfall Lodge, indeed!

I was inclined to think that Scene 165 was shot indoors, as when the clapperboard picture was posted, it wasn't quite dark in Surrey yet. However, I suppose it was possible that the picture was taken in the early hours of the day, during the previous night, which would make it possible.

@Kamran_Shah: a part of the sequence involves 'vehicle drive approaching House'. The SUVs in the pictures are 10 Land Rover Discoverys and I presume those will be the vehicles to be used in the scene.
Some specially modified Land Rover Defenders were shipped to Turkey together with the 46 VW New Beetles in January and I presume they're required for a very tough stunt scene there. Given what we actually know, I'd say it is impossible to tell which of the two driving scenes Naomie Harris will take part in. Hopefully we will find out soon! ;-)

EDIT: I've just reread the original article which reported that Naomie Harris will drive a Land Rover Defender in Skyfall.
http://www.carmagazi...d-film-Skyfall/
Since the magazine is specialized in cars and Hoakes expressly mentioned the Land Rover Defender, I would say that the stunt driving scene of Naomie Harris should be shot in Turkey. Until the contrary is proven.

He no longer states that the house will be blown up on March 12, but will be destroyed at the conclusion of filming, later in the month.

More likely to be a Scottish female red deer.

"Lovely up there in the mountains", yes? "Nice and cool"? ;-)

(If Harris is involved with the manor house sequence, wouldn't be surprised if Eve's taken the role Marina Varoskaya filled in the sequence...)

Excellent photos!

Does someone have (or can provide?) a decent copy or rundown of this GoldenEye manor house sequence? Or a copy of the script it's in? I'm unfamiliar with the draft history of GoldenEye prior to the Brosnan-autographed copy of Fierstein's shooting script I own. Hugely interested in seeing what we're all talking about.

The buildings aren't quite complete yet at Hankley Common, but today they've been filming a Chinook-type helicopter flying over the location.

Just seen some low flying helicopter scenes from the new James Bond movie being filmed at Hankley Common; going on for next few weeks.

They're filming military helicopter flying low over Hankley Common for #Bond #Skyfall presumably. @tiny_jp looks up in awe!

Apparently they're blowing up a mansion they've just built there next week! http://pic.twitter.com/BBUyvpj9

Were they definitely filming the 'copter? There's always Chinooks flying around there; I see them all the time.

Definitely. There was another helicopter, with a camera fitted on the front, filming it. The main chopper was flying in close to the Skyfall Lodge building, and then flying off again. Filmed it at least 10 times while I was there.

I have video/photos but can't be guaranteed I'll have proper internet access today, sorry.
