I echo those who say these will come out individually - but for the big coverage and easy marketing they are coming out in the box set first.
For those of you complaining about Eon/Fox/MGM/UA/Sony and everybody else that has a finger in this pie: they are a business not a charity!
If you don't like the price, vote with your wallet and wait, find it used, find the individual ones on eBay when enterprising people buy sets to split them up and sell them individually.
I don't think Eon is egregious with this deicision - compare it to how the LOTR series or Star Wars series are done and you'll see similar tactics. And thank god they don't pull a Disney and "Oooh, it's going in the vault...better buy it cuz its going away!"
I'm really perplexed by the people complaining about having to pay each time a new format comes out. Did Eon force you to upgrade your television or media player when the technology got updated? I don't think they did.
Can you honestly point to any other franchise on the planet that allowed a trade in of old media for a free version of the newest?
Man, I bought a Toyota 10 years ago - gosh darn it they came out with a new model that has better features - I should get it for free! After all, I already own a Toyota! I want a loyalty card that gets me a free car!
Come on.

Nice one.
With regard to BluRay (or however you choose to watch HD) - it's simply amazing, especially with the early films. I have Thunderball and it looks like it was made yesterday. Simply stunning. Conversely, but not quite, Casino Royale looks like Olga - stunning - especially when compared with the DVD (which in my book looks like it was short changed).
I for one am happy they keep doing this, and I choose when I buy - this time I placed an order (I have five of them already on blu ray, but at £89 for all.... it's just too cheap to not put a market down). I never bought the ultimate edition DVDs though.

I'll say this it is very tempting the whole Blu-Ray box sets and that saying itchy tigger finger. I don't think some want that, where they so itchy to buy it and then do that. Afterwards like three to seven seconds later they notice, and say to themselves under their breath what did I just do. That is all because of the price of it. And at where they brought it at, Best Buy, Costco, FYE, Buy.com, amazon.com, Walmart, Sam's Club or Target. It almost like did I shoot that person and he or she either dead or injured. It going to take like maybe 25 seconds to 67 seconds before they say to themselves what done is done. Some are saying it worth owing it but not at this or that price. This or that price are still too much as a sale price at whatever stores or online stores.
That is why they want to know about the individual Blu-Rays or individual box sets that has like three or four of the movies.

Excellent price, I'll be getting them, I'm just going to sell my other Bond Blu Rays, with the exception
of my special edition of Casino Royale, the box is just too nice.
I prey that we have original poster art on the boxes, then I'll never need to buy
another set again, I'll be complete!

A bit of bad news for the single disc-buyers:
a German bluray-site reports that the box set is indeed the only planned option right now: http://www.bluray-di...uf-blu-ray-disc
Of course, that does not mean that they will not sell them separately, once the box set is sold out or... well, sitting on the shelves of too many stores.

However, just to help put things into perspective I recall a time back in the early 80's when home video was starting to establish itself. The Bond films were released (generally only for rental) by Warner Bros. but if you wanted to buy them which was a market not yet exploited the initial cost 'per tape' was anywhere between £50/80. That was for a film in 'pan & scan', no extras and of a picture/sound quality almost 'Jurassic' compared to what we have on offer nowadays.
I've yet to sucumb to the temptations of bluray (even Star Wars couldn't swing me) but this set might just do it.

A lot of Blu-rays look no different to standard DVD. This is not the case with the Bonds - the transfers were done with a lot of love and care and the results (so far) are terrific.
