NO - They've given us the best and we've responded, so there will be no big demand for more.

James Bond / Austin Powers crossover movie..what would be more fun to see... Daniel Craig's Bond going up agains Mike Myer's Dr. Evil OR Mike Myer's Austin Powers going up against one of Dan's villains, i.e. Mads Mikkelsen's Le Chiffre or Javier Bardem's Silva ??

Agreed.  There is Bond and there's Powers--and never the twain shall meet.

I suppose Craig vs Dr.Evil, don't get your hopes up though.

Which films ending do you like more; TB in which Bond and Kissy are skyhooked out OR YOLT when the submarine comes from out of the water?

Thunderball, where Bond and Domino are skyhooked out. YOLT, where Bond and Kissy wash up on the deck of HMS M1 was:

a ) too similar, and

b ) you can tell that the raft was placed on the deck, then the submarine submerges, and the film was run backwards (note the unnatural way the waves separate and ripple over the deck - it's almost as phoney as the water jumping into the drain of the Cuban satellite dish in GE).

But I digress.

Better cold-blooded Moore/Bond moment:

Kicking Loque's car off the cliff in FYEO

or

Shooting that Russian soldier between the eyes in Octopussy

?

As I always think Locque's car was going off anyway, and Bond just gave it a helping hand, I think shooting that Russian soldier between the eyes in 'Octopussy'. Not in a murderous way, but just a sheer moment that he had to kill or be killed and didn't think twice. BAM!

In todays world, do the events taking place remind you that the cinematic James Bond character is more secure than ever, after people were worried about his place in a Cold War free zone...

YES - Terrorist attacks, nations threatening war, technological crime and corrupt governments and secuirty services remind us that our James Bond hero is much more rooted in todays world than ever

or

NO - The events of today will still always be a soft spot to tackle in a fictional James Bond film, and he needs to remind us of the grand escapism of the early years, rather than root stories in a scary reality

Have to go with YES..Even though the real heros of events like yesterday's terrible bombing are the first responders (i.e. Police, Firefighters, Medical responders and such) there should always be a place in fiction for heros like James Bond to give us a sense of escapisim and such.

We've seen real life terrorist attacks mention in previous Bond films (i.e. the 1995 Tokyo Subway attack mentioned in Tomorrow Never Dies, 9/11 mentioned in Casino Royale and such..)  Do you think that the Boston marathon bombing should OR should not be referrenced in a future Bond film?

I don't think so, when I heard the news and started watching the coverage it almost looked like footage from Skyfall and I was almost expecting Bond to start running down the street. I kind of bored of the terrorist threat now and wouldn't mind seeing a good old fashion fun Bond film after these few serious films.I there is also other larger major events that they could use and I'd rather see.

Which film uses the worst backward footage of water:

Then end of YOLT with the submarine going out of the water

OR

GE when the satellite is raised?

YOLT.  The GE ending has always looked fake and miniature.  At least the YOLT submarine/raft bit was lifesize, albeit filmed backwards, no?

Skyfall reference to OHMSS?  When M dies in Bond's arms in the chapel, is it reminiscent of Bond holding Tracy in On Her Majesty's Secret Service?

NO, it's a natural flow of the story

OR

YES, it's an intended anniversary reference

I always felt 'GoldenEye', as you could see the water jump upwars and go back into the cradle itself, reversed from being pumped out. That looks crazy!

NO, it's a natural flow of the story - only because I didn't once think of Tracy during the sequence, but now you mention it, it's easy to see why it could be.

Best use of a train in a Bond film -

Crashing into a Mercedes car and sending it flying into a lake in 'Octopussy'

OR

Using it to ram into and destroy a tank in 'GoldenEye'

??

I just love that scene in OP when the car goes flying into the water next to some fisherman I believe, good stuff.

Funnier James Bond reference from the tv show 30 Rock: "James Blunt" OR "James Bonk."

The worse Bond video game title song.. Everything Or Nothing OR  "I'll Take It All" (Bloodstone)?

"I'll Take It All". Good effort but pretty naff. Well, they all are really but that was worse.

Do you find it embarrasing when James Bond video games try so hard to make it look like a playable version of the film with the lazy gunbarrel, the opening naff title music etc...

YES - They always lack effort and I'd rather just focus on the linear story rather than weak attempts to make a bigger Bond film / game adventure

OR

NO - It adds to the fun of playing as James Bond, and makes it feel like you are playing in a film verison of a game

Yes, they lack the effort and I'd rather they focus on the linear story rather than make a Bond film/game adventure. Example of this failure: 007 Legends

Would you rather have:

a new Bond game in late 2014/2015 for PS4/new xbox

OR

one last effort on PS3/360

?

Give me one last effort on the 360...IMO, Bloodstone and Quantum of Solace were quite good...007 Legends was just too half-assed, so we're due for another good one.

The pre-title sequence for Bond 24...do you expect it to... tie in with the main film, like we've had with SF, QoS, CR, DAD,etc...OR be a completely separate adventure which we haven't truely seen since Octopussy (if I'm not mistaken)??

Being a completely separate adventure would be a big surprise I would like to see, I don't think we'll get one for Bond 24 though unless Quantum is completely written out of the series and they decide to do a PTS with Bond going after Quantum, kinda like FYEO with Blofeld.

Worst 4 year wait for a Bond film: CR or SF?

SF. The circumstances were far different than after DAD, what with MGM's bankruptcy and the seemingly pessimistic attitude that many in the entertainment industry were taking with the franchise.

(Also Dove, if you were to count the games, Blood Stone and Everything or Nothing both had PTS' that were separate adventures. As did the game version of FRWL....Unrelated, kudos to giving props to Boston Dove. I thought they handled an ugly and horrific situation with professionalism and poise, although I hate that hat. ;))

Best Everything or Nothing moment:

chasing Jaws on a motorcycle on the Lake Pontchartrain Bridge

OR

freefalling after the girl in Peru

?

(Any thoughts or prayers I can send to Boston, I'm all too happy to oblige..Got family spread throughout New England and lots of my friends either went to school or currently live in Boston..You hate the "B" Red Sox hat?? What gives? LOL.. )

Right back on topic.. yes, I guess you're right about the video games pre-titles..didn't even think about that. As for best EON moment, it has to be chasing after Jaws on the Lake Pontchatrain bridge.. I love that sequence and get such a high speeding through the traffic and hitting the ramps at break-neck speed..

Best action sequence in Bloodstone..

Bond chasing after the assassin in the monster truck in Bangkok OR The opening speed boat chase in Athens?

I rather loved the opening speed boat chase in Athens! A nice 'Live And Let Die'-esque chase, and fresh to have a chase on water in a game.

If James Bond has a pet, do you think it would be...

Fish in a rather exotic, relaxing tank

OR

A snake in a cool, large tank

Loch Ness Monster - it would probably turn out to be a genetic experiment or a submarine or something, and would also invite the possibility of there being a miniature version for Bond to commandeer, giving him the opportunity to dub it "Little Nessie."

Wa-wa-waaa...

Another memorable henchman. Craig seems to have lots of femme fatales and powerful women, so let's give him a decent henchman!

Regarding the new Bond novel 'Solo', due out soon, are you...

INTERESTED - Any new follow-on literature of Fleming's Bond is exciting, and can't wait to see what is in store for the series!

OR

NOT INTERESTED - Fleming's Bond character in the novels died along with the great man himself, and this is just digging up old ground!

NOT INTERESTED... I've tried Charlie Higson's Young Bond series, only got through Silverfin, and Sebastian Faulks' "Devil May Care"..wasn't really thrilled with either..I didn't even bother with Carte Blanche...but we'll see..maybe I'll have a change of heart.

Favorite cues from Thomas Newman's "Skyfall" score... "Jellyfish" OR "Quartermaster" ??
