Let's keep the series fresh - I think a completely new setting. There's a lot of the globe Bond still hasn't see yet.

Do you think the role of Q, in today's era of Bond films, will be a pretty redundant role:

YES - After the initial reaction of having the classic namesake back, he's never going to have the status he did in the previous Bond films due to the change in view with gadgets and so will simply become another techno genius.

OR

NO - The role is just as important as the M or Moneypenny to Bond in MI6 and without it, there would be a big cog missing to keep Craig's Bond in touch with the classic older films but inject a big, modern take on gadgets today

Congratulations.  You get to select the next 007 film title:

Casino Royale 2: Devil In My Trousers

or

Quantums of Solace: Flipped Over and Done Dry

Devil In My Trousers got a good laugh out of me.

Which flying machine did you enjoy more; Little Nellie from YOLT or The mini jet in OP?

Hmm, I actually like the Acrostar from 'Octopussy' - often forgotten but had a great sequence to fly in.

Can you link Connery's Bond from 1962 to the Daniel Craig Bond of 2012?

YES - It takes fabrication and some imagination, but these characters are the same, the same man in different worlds at the time of the films

OR

NO - Two different men, two different worlds and they are obviously their own person with nothing conflicting about eachother's protrayal

NO...why bother??

Bond secondary theme songs..."We Have All The Time In The World" - Louis Armstrong "OHMSS" OR "If There Was A Man" - The Pretenders "TLD"??

"We Have All the Time In the World"  Man, you do not mess with Louis Armstrong!

The thread has spoken.  The next Bond film is...Casino Royale 2: Devil In My Trousers.

Now pick the opening scene (after the PTS and titles, of course):

007 giving M's daughter a good rodgering from behind in her Oxford dorm room

or

a boozing, angry 007 in a rough threesome with two Persian girls in Tehran

007 giving M's daughter a good rodgering from behind in her Oxford dorm. I would love to see Daniel talk his way out of that one!!!!

Streets of Bucharest - great fun

Do you think James Bond can now take on summer blockbusters?

YES - It's proven audiences still love Bond, even more than before, and it should stand tall amongst the Hollywood blockbusters

OR

NO - It's still a risk to put Bond against the Hollywood blockbusters, and it should stay in the later release of the year to ensure good performance

No, I mean I think it could compete but why would you want to risk it for only possibly a little more profit.

What kind of tattoo would Bond get, a picture of Jedi Dench's M or something Navy related?

Something navy related. He's a blunt instrument, not sentimental.

Got to give it to 'Goldfinger' - probably a predictable outcome but would be more fun.

What element of 'Goldfinger', in your eyes, is over-rated:

The theme song

The villains

Cooler looking moment for Craig's Bond, driving a NON-Aston Martin..him driving the Volvo as he follows Greene and Elvis to the opera in Qos OR him driving the Mercedes as he tails Patrice from the airport in Skyfall??

Good one, Dove.  Definitely driving the Volvo on the way to the opera, since that's the make of car I personally drive!  (There's also a couple of nice Volvo appearances in Casino Royale if you pay close attention.)

Cooler looking moment for Craig's Bond, wearing a NON-Tom Ford suit...

Island shirt from CR parkour chase scene

or

Cardigan sweater from QoS?

Definitely the island shirt in Casino. Does a better job of showing Bond's younger persona.

better performance by Craig in a video game:

Goldeneye (2010)

Blood Stone

I rather enjoyed him doing something fresh in 'Blood Stone'

Which Bond film is the best "thriller", not just an all out "action" film...

'From Russia With Love'

OR

'For Your Eyes Only'

Have to go with "From Russia With Love", not that "FYEO" isn't exciting, but "Russia.." had less comedic elements and is somewhat darker in it's tone..

Daniel Kleiman's Bond titles sequence...which was the cooler moment...the Queen of Hearts face floating past the 007 logo and revealing Eva Green's face in Casino Royale OR the teeth of the skelleton morphing into tombstones in the Skyfall sequence?

Tough one.  I like the SF title sequence even better than CR's, but as far as moments go I'm gonna have to get with Eva Green's face on the Queen of Hearts.  That was just a killer idea.

Casino Royale 2: Devil In My Trousers (continued)

After M discovers 007's transgression with his daughter in her Oxford dorm room, he is furious and sends Bond on one of two almost certainly lethal missions:

Bond is assigned to lead a small team of Special Boat Squadron (SBS) commandos into Norway.  A 00 recently disappeared while undercover at a cold fusion laboratory in the Norwegian fjords and is suspected captured or kill.

OR

Bond is loaned out to the CIA's dreaded Special Activities Division where Felix Leiter is running an operation in Latin America to uncover more Quantum tendrils.  They head to Buenos Aires to investigate the murder of a Mexican diplomat suspected of being a prominent Quantum member, as well as to look for a shadowy political consultant referred to in South America as La Serpiente.

Red Grant, no contest.

So, in helping out Stromberg, let's cast the Bond girl and villain for Casino Royale 2.

Zooey Deschanel and Vinnie Jones

OR

Maggie Q and Alan Arkin

Maggie Q and Alan Arkin. Vinnie Jones can't come anywhere near this!

Ok, for the title theme song for 'Casino Royale 2', originally called 'The Devil In My Trousers', which former singer comes back for another go at the Bond titles:

Sir Tom Jones

OR

Chris Cornell

??

Sir Tom Jones, but this time his fainting is actually retained in the song and re-enacted during the title sequence.

For Casino Royale 2, as it is a direct sequel to CR it cannot have a normal gunbarrel. So do we place it:

in the middle, when Bond is being stalked by a sniper, but kills the sniper before he can kill Bond

OR

once again having it at the end, enraging many (mostly the community here on CBn ;))

?

At the end with Craig hunched over like a chimp.

Casino Royale 2: Devil In My Trousers will be the first 007 adventure filmed for an NC-17 rating.  Bond lays some serious pipe in this installment, so we're going to need more Bond girls.  Given the juicy production detail that there will be full frontal action...

Olga Kurylenko (returning as Camille)

or

Gemma Arterton (as Strawberry's angry, deliciously naughty twin sister, Fragaria)

Have to go with the combo of Tee Hee and Nick Nack..both of them on their own are much speedier than Jaws, so they have an advantage..

More tragic Bond ally death... Vijay being yo-yo'ed in Octopussy OR Saunders being crushed by the glass sliding door in The Living Daylights?

Vijay, mainly because I liked him more. Saunders was nothing more than a whiny bitch.

Also contributing to Casino Royale 2's NC-17 rating is a particularly gratuitous torture scene. Does Bond:

get put into a trap, where he must mutilate himself and someone else in order to find the key to his escape within a very short amount of time

OR

is surgically operated on and becomes the middle section of a human centipede

I'd have Bond get put into a trap, where he must mutilate himself and someone else in order to find the key to his escape within a very short amount of time. A gruesome twist by the Bond villain.

How do you feel about 'Skyfall' after the comedown...

Still one of the greatest James Bond films of all time and will be memorable for decades

OR

It's good, but suffered from a little over-hype and will soon fade away to be just another Bond

Daft Punk one more time.

Bond has to infiltrate a crime organization within a tribe of American Indians in BOND 2X, the entire film will be shot on location at a Lakota reservation in South Dakota. Generous allusions to classic Westerns, tribe initiation rites, drugs and laundered money at the Lakota's new casino, so forth. Yet Eon decides to give the audience one nerdy Easter Egg:

Bond's horse is called 'Bentley'

or

Bond kills the crime syndicate's boss with a golden Colt

Daniel Craig's Bond squares off against one of his other memorable on-screen characters...who should it be?  XXXX from Layer Cake, Mikael Blomqvist from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo OR Steve, from Munich?
