Aaron Johnson. I can't picture the latter in the role.
Would you rather have Bond using a bazooka in Bond 24 OR a harpoon gun?

(Will a bazooka work underwater?)
Posted 14 November 2013 - 03:24 PM
(Who says Bond has to be underwater to be using either weapon?..Harpoon guns work just as well on land..i.e. LTK and TB)
I'd like to see Craig go with the harpoon gun in another "Compliments of Sharkey" type of moment..
Costume designer for Bond 24...would you like Lindy Hemming to return OR continue with Jany Temime from Skyfall?

(Look up 'facetious' in the dictionary - you'll find a picture of me...)

Sorry AMC...Guess that just went right over my head...LOL

(Will a bazooka work underwater?)
How about a torpedo launcher from Q branch?

I liked the wardrobes from Lindy Hemming but might as well keep Jany Teminie.
A 3rd Dalton film in 1992
OR
a 5th Brosnan film in 2004 and a 3rd Craig film in 2010
00?
Posted 19 November 2013 - 06:08 PM
I think we've had this one before. Alas....I'll say the 3rd Dalton film in '92 as '04 saw Brosnan in Everything or Nothing and '10 gave us Craig in both Blood Stone and Goldeneye 2010.
Thumbscrews
OR
Hot Coals
?
Posted 19 November 2013 - 06:57 PM
Hmm....Hot Coals I guess ?? LOL..
More gruesome way a Bond baddie has died... Milton Krest, having his head explode in the decompression chamber in LTK OR Mr. Kidd being turned into a human barbecue in Diamonds Are Forever?
Posted 20 November 2013 - 07:38 PM
Definitely Milton Krest.
Lamest Bond baddie death.
Kananga's "inflated opinion of himself"
OR
Mr. Kidd "leaving with his tail between his legs"
?
Posted 21 November 2013 - 05:22 PM
Have to go with Kananga's over-inflated opinion of himself in LALD..
More tragic Bond girl death... Vesper Lynd deliberately drowning herself in Casino Royale OR Paula, taking cyanide to avoid interrogation in Thunderball ??
Posted 22 November 2013 - 11:50 AM
Vesper drowning herself. We all knew it was coming and yet it's still painful to watch. To this day, I still don't care about Paula's schoolyard crush on Bond.
Now the flipside:
Most badass Bond baddie death:
Sanchez burning up after the tanker crash
OR
Silva's death march after being stabbed in the back by Bond
?
Posted 22 November 2013 - 06:00 PM
Silva's death march (just watched it last night as a matter of fact)...Love his look of annoyance on his face when he realizes Bond survived his deep water experience and has beaten him..
Gunbarrel transitions shots..which did you like better... FRWL, the gunbarrel fades out to the night scene of Grant stalking "James Bond" OR YOLT, the gunbarrel opening on the Jupiter 16 spacecraft above the Earth?
Posted 22 November 2013 - 07:24 PM
I liked FRWL's more, and I loved the whole PTS as well.
Bond 24: would you rather have a Judi Dench's portrait in MI6 offices
OR
Bond's radio/walther PPK in Q's office?
Posted 23 November 2013 - 11:44 AM
Judi Dench's portrait, the gun and radio from Skyfall were some of Bond's least memorable gadgets. Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing a tube of dentonite toothpaste in Bond's cupboard lol.
Better PTS to MTS transition:
Live and Let Die, Baines' death set to the opening chords of "Live and Let Die"
OR
Skyfall, Bond being swept down the river to his 'supposed death' set to the opening of "Skyfall"
?
Posted 23 November 2013 - 06:04 PM
Tough one but I have to go with LALD.
Lazenby OR Dalton?
Posted 25 November 2013 - 05:50 PM
Dalton..
The end credits...do you prefer....the Bond theme to play and then transition into a mix of some of the film's score selections like Skyfall OR have a secondary theme song ( GE, TND, TLD, LTK, ) to play throughout the entire credits sequence?
Posted 25 November 2013 - 06:58 PM
Now this is a tough one. The Bond theme worked great for CR/SF, but not so much for TWINE/QoS. I think I have to go with the secondary themes for the end credits. Surrender and If You Asked Me To were just too good.
Better one-off ally:
Milos Colombo
OR
Kerim Bey
?
Posted 26 November 2013 - 05:42 AM
Kerim Bey is miles in front of most Bond's allies IMO.
Felix Leiter Cast-off #1;
Jack Lord - DN
OR
Cec Linder - GF
00?
Posted 26 November 2013 - 10:33 AM
I know I'm in the minority here but I do like Cec Linder as Felix even if he's much older than the literary version so my cast-off vote goes to:
Jack Lord
Ernst Stavro Blofeld in From Russia With Love
or
Ernst Stavro Blofeld in Thunderball?
Posted 26 November 2013 - 11:39 AM
Tough one. Both great and very brief, I think FRWL he might have more air time. I like the dialog better I think in FRWL too, so FRWL.
Posted 27 November 2013 - 05:23 PM
Oohh tough choice...but I would probably cast off Jack Lord...I'll always think of him first and foremost as Steve McGarrett...I would have loved for Rik Van Nutter's Felix to have had another shot at the character in Diamonds Are Forever.
Bond title-singers Cast off....Madonna (Die Another Day) OR Jack White and Alicia Keys (Quantum of Solace) ??
Posted 28 November 2013 - 12:25 AM
By all means ditch the White Keyes.
What was that? Four intros, some disjointed imagery, "shoot 'em up, bang bang, whoa-o-way-o!"
Shirley Bassey`s 'No Good in Goodbye`was orders of magnitude better, and even fits fine with MK12`s titles (see YouTube).

Cast off Norman Burton
Emilio Largo
or
Maximillian Largo?
Posted 28 November 2013 - 11:05 PM
I was thinking of posing that one!
Emilio, definitely. Connery may have been older in NSNA, but that's no reason to make the chief villain a big wimp - however menacing he could sound.
Best stolen chase vehicle (or best use thereof):
Moon buggy in DAF
Glastron boat in LALD
My namesake in TMWTGG
or
Alpha Romeo in OP
?
Posted 29 November 2013 - 12:04 AM
I love that Moon buggy but would have to go with the Glastron boat, if memory serves my correct then he got a good use out of it in LALD.
Posted 29 November 2013 - 02:13 AM
John who?
Seriously, his role was so underwritten and underplayed it's easy to forget that Felix was even in TLD.
Kissy
or
Aki?

Kind of a tough call. Jeffrey Wright's Felix is better in Casino Royale than Jack Lord in Dr. No, but he's also underused and not very interesting in Quantum Of Solace falling behind Lord there. However, overall I suppose I give the edge to Wright so my castoff vote goes to:
Jack Lord
Brad Whitaker
or
Jack Wade?
