I'd say Brad Whittaker...Jack Wade just got annoying...
Charles Gray...better as Henderson in YOLT OR Blofeld in DAF?

Charles Gray...better as Henderson in YOLT OR Blofeld in DAF?
Posted 01 December 2013 - 07:38 AM
I find Charles Gray entertaining in Diamonds Are Forever but as a fearsome Ernst Stavro Blofeld he doesn't compare to Telly Savalas so I would say Gray in You Only Live Twice (which he was good in too).
Natalya Simonova
or
Xenia Onatopp?
Posted 01 December 2013 - 10:58 PM
Tough one indeed for all GE fans. I would have to go with Onatopp however.
DR or LALD
00?
Posted 02 December 2013 - 07:34 AM
Do you mean Dr. No? If so, I go with Live And Let Die for the movie, Dr. No for the novel.
Sylvia Trench in Dr. No
or
Sylvia Trench in From Russia With Love?
Posted 03 December 2013 - 06:20 PM
Neither, but since the rules dictate I must pick....Dr. No. Only because it gave us that iconic line.....
Lazenby's first line as Bond
OR
Craig's first line as Bond
?
Posted 04 December 2013 - 01:37 AM
Have to go with "M doesn't really mind you earning a little money on the side, Dreyden...She just prefer it if it wasn't selling secrets..." Much more memorable than "Good morning...my name is Bond, James Bond...Miss?? "
Better Bond cover...Universal Exports rep arranging to pick up a carcharodon carcharias from Milton Krest in LTK OR as James Stock, London Financial Times to get a story on Max Zorin from Mr. Howe in AVTAK?
Posted 04 December 2013 - 01:37 PM
Neither is very good, but I'll go with the Carcharodon Carcharias. James Stock was bad and Stacey was just too dumb to see through it.
Better one-liner:
"This never happened to the other fellow"
OR
"Single"
?
Posted 05 December 2013 - 07:50 PM
"Single" Thought that was a great quip after how Bond's romance with Solange turned out in Casino Royale..
Which Bond locale would you like to dine at if you were given an all expenses paid trip... Dinner at Piz Gloria in the revolving restaurant OR Dinner at the Cafe Martinique from Thunderball ?
Posted 06 December 2013 - 01:19 PM
Cafe Martinique. If it's all expenses paid, I'm going somewhere warm.
Which of Bond's various recreational vehicles are you more jealous of:
the submarine Lotus
OR
Little Nellie
?
Posted 07 December 2013 - 06:48 AM
Wet Nellie aka Lotus Esprit submarine
Fiona Volpe
or
Fatima Blush?
Posted 07 December 2013 - 06:11 PM
Fiona Volpe, not a fan of anything NSNA
Bill Tanner Preference: #1
Michael Goodliffe - TMWTGG
OR
James Villiers - FYEO
00?
Still to come;
Michael Kitchen TND, DAD
Rory Kinnear QOS, SF
Posted 07 December 2013 - 11:53 PM
James Villiers
Halle Berry as Giacinta "Jinx" Johnson
or
Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny?
Posted 08 December 2013 - 07:03 PM
Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, I think she is pretty cute where as Halle Barry is just not my cup of tea.
Posted 10 December 2013 - 08:10 PM
Have to go with Rory Kinnear..
Best use of John Glen's trademark pigeon flying out of an unexpected place.. OHMSS when Campbell is shot at while he's climbing Piz Gloria, FYEO when the pigeon nearly knocks Bond off St. Cyrils, OP when Bond is scaling the outside of Kamal's palace and the pigeon flies out of a corner, (don't remember one in AVTAK), TLD where Bond is sneaking into Brad Whittaker's palace or LTK when Bond is absailing down the front of Sanchez's casino?
Posted 11 December 2013 - 02:51 AM
FYEO finishes first ahead of LTK, only because it was fresh in '81, and predictable by '89.
Better 1970s post-killing throw-away line:
"He certainly left with his tails between his legs."
"He always did have an inflated opinion of himself"
"Flat on his coup de gras."
Posted 12 December 2013 - 07:20 AM
I'll go with "He always did have an inflated opinion of himself."
Peter Burton's Maj. Boothroyd in Dr. No
or
Alec McCowen's Algernon in Never Say Never Again?
Posted 12 December 2013 - 04:42 PM
Have to go with McCowen in NSNA, but then to be fair to Peter Burton, he didn't have much of a part in Dr. No..
Lana Wood's Plenty O'Toole in DAF OR Lynn Holly Johnson's Bibi Dahl in FYEO?
Posted 14 December 2013 - 02:05 AM
Posted 14 December 2013 - 05:08 AM
Michael Kitchen easily. The best Bill Tanner of the films.
Zbigniew Krycsiwiki aka Jaws in The Spy Who Loved Me
or
Zbigniew Krycsiwiki aka Jaws in Moonraker?
Posted 15 December 2013 - 07:32 PM
Posted 16 December 2013 - 09:03 PM
Bill Tanner Preference: #3 (Finale Round)
Michael Kitchen TND, DAD
OR
Rory Kinnear QOS, SF
Posted 17 December 2013 - 08:36 AM
The former.
Here's a matchup of two of Bond's most physically imposing villains:
Franz Sanchez
or
Alec Trevelyan?
Posted 17 December 2013 - 05:51 PM
Alec Trevelyan...
Ben Whishaw's Q gets to re-invent, or revamp one of Desmond Llewellyn's gadgets...which should it be?
The briefcase with the folding AR-7 sniper's rifle from FRWL OR the dart gun, wristwatch from MR ?
Posted 18 December 2013 - 03:29 AM
The Briefcase 100% on that one.
Shirley Bassey
DAF
or

Posted 18 December 2013 - 07:47 AM
Diamonds Are Forever easily. That's my favorite theme song of hers.
Hans
or
Grunther?
Posted 19 December 2013 - 06:05 PM
Grunther...the way he met his end by being impaled on those nasty looking spikes was much more memorable than Hans becoming fish food..
Bobsled action in a Bond film... Bond chasing Blofeld in OHMSS down the bob run OR Bond skiing behind the 4-man bobsled team as he's being chased by Kriegler in FYEO?
Posted 20 December 2013 - 08:42 AM
For Your Eyes Only
Stacey Sutton
or
Christmas Jones?
Posted 20 December 2013 - 06:21 PM
For Your Eyes Only
Stacey Sutton
or
Christmas Jones?
What exactly are you asking here? Which is better? worse? prettier? stupider? more miscast? I guess I'll go with Stacey Sutton, just because Xmas Jones is one of my least favorite characters in the whole series.
What would you rather do:
Spend Christmas in Switzerland
OR
Christmas in Turkey
?
Posted 21 December 2013 - 05:08 PM
Christmas in Christmas isn't an option?! Still, think I'll go with Switzerland.
Better M comeback to Bond breaking into her home,
"Utter one more word and I'll have you killed."
OR
"Run out of drink, did you?"
Posted 23 December 2013 - 03:29 PM
"Run out of drink, did you?" although I'm not really a fan of either.
