A guy named monkeyfocus posted this photo on Instagram recently, with the caption: "This is the set for 007 Skyfall, the escalator slide stunt".

Posted Image

I asked him in which station the photo was taken, and the answer was: "It's the old Jubilee Line plattform at Charing Cross. It's been closed for many years".

What do you guys think? Bond slides down the tube chasing Bardem? Sounds good to me.

Great find Marketto007!

Ever seen Mission Impossible 3, when Ethan Hunt slides down a glass building in Shanghai on his back shooting at people? I'm guessing a similar thing here, perhaps Bardem gets a bit far ahead of Bond in the chase for his liking, so Bond launches himself down the middle to catch up. Would be great!

Personal phone or movie phone?

Rory Kinnear had a phone to his ear when they were filming the scene, so I assume it's the same one and the iPhone is the new movie phone. They've previously been Sony Ericssons, haven't they?

Many amazing photos taken during the filming on Vauxhall Bridge:
http://www.zimbio.co...all/KccANF7Tqcj

Judi Dench filming scenes for the new James Bond movie Skyfall. The scene is shot on Vauxhall Bridge with the MI5 building in the background. It involves Dame Judi Dench (M) being stopped by armed police on the bridge. As she is being spoken to a loud explosion could be heard which makes M and the police officer jump. In the movie this will be the MI5 building being blown up with the effect being created by CGI in post production. The filming caused traffic jams either side of the bridge as traffic was held back by real Police officers so they could film the scene over and over again from every conceivable angle. They took over 4 hours to film the scene in London, UK on February 12, 2012

Very interesting. Naturally, they mean MI6 rather than MI5, but I'm still intrigued by the fact that the authorities obviously appear to be aware of the attack before it happens but are unable to stop it.

I think so. Yesterday - before reading that short description of the scene - I had already suggested the hypothesis that the explosion involves the MI6 building instead of the Vauxhall Bridge. Also consider that the photographer who took the photos was on the bridge at a relatively short distance from the scene, so he also heard the dialogue between M and the policeman. It is more than likely that what is written is true.

I suppose it depends; they can see MI5 from the bridge.

But it is more likely to be MI6; I suppose the synopsis mentioned MI6 under attack.

MI6, most certainly, as she's stopped when driving towards the MI6 building, coming from the direction of the MI5 building.
Of course, it's still possible that the police are searcing the MI6 building for a bomb (or something similar), but the warning they received was a red herring and the bad guys blow up MI5 instead...

I love the fact that whoever is out attack the Service, that they actually have the gall to go for MI5 also - not just MI6, if that's what happens. It makes the scale much wider and the threat seem so much more intense for a Bond film. Can't bleedin' wait! Great information posted again!

I'll add to that.

The threat is aimed at the heart of London too. This is what makes the film seem like the stakes are higher this time. The problem with Bond globetrotting is that you never really feel M16, or Bond, is ever threatened. You're sort of removed from the threat.

Yes it's a Bond film and we know Bond will never die, but watching him sprint down London streets, on to the tube, protect M's life- all spine-shiveringly brilliant.
And with Mendes behind the camera....we're sure to get a Bond film we've never experienced before.

EXACTLY what I was aiming for PPK. The threat seems more real this time, and Bond is going to have act like the intelligent, ruthless and very calculating Bond we once knew about I reckon to deal with this, no more half-cocked baddies or threats!

Just thinking how it will pan out baffles the mind!

Oh......I really can't wait. It's shaping up so well this film already!

And it won't be until we see the teaser trailer that we'll know more about the tone of the film. Till then though, i'd like at least one more official image, not of Bond exactly but of a situation he's in...that would do nicely!

"As she is being spoken to a loud explosion could be heard which makes M and the police officer jump." This is really exciting, but very similar to Twine as well. But I wouldn't start being a little whinny [censored] just because of that. It'd be stupid to do so.

Deffo Dominic...I mean, the attack on MI6 in 'TWINE' was really good I thought. Because it hadn't been done before, I thought it worked really well, and for that typical action-sequence that Brosnan fared well in, I thought it was a brave set-up. So now having Craig's harder, grittier Bond face the same with Mendes at the helm gives me more hope!

I wonder if the Teaser trailer will use the MI6 attack as the hook for the minute peek? Hurry hurry hurry!

That line makes me think the whole place will be leveled, like the Kremlin in M:I - Ghost Protocol.

Then again, the funeral scene would probably have more than 8 caskets if that were the case...

Sounds good: the whole secret service base being demolished. A country destabilized. M possibly kind of responsible for it. And Bond the only chance to save the day.

Solid, isnĀ“t it?
