Ah, I was referring to the silhouetted image of Bond from Empire as possibly being set in Macau. The two neon backdrops will almostly certainly be from the Shanghai office, yes.
Possibly, yes. Bond appears to be dressed similarly. Alternatively, the scene follows the Shanghai action and that set is the Macau hotel room.
I don't think it can be the Macau hotel room. The unusual shaped tower in the cityscape in the bottom photo is the Oriental Pearl Tower which is in Shanghai.
I think both photos do indeed show the Shanghai office and the one follows the other from the same scene.
I’d say thatSpoiler

Good point. I think you're right. An upside down clapperboard is used to denote an end board, that’s a clapperboard at the end of a shot not the beginning. Here I think it might be a wink to it being the last clapperboard photo.

Well, for my part, I've enjoyed the online clapperboards. I hope they return for future movies.

Marketto, are you suggesting that Patrice was trying to kill Severine, and Bond prevented that?

That's not the way it is. Severine paid Patrice to kill someone else. She's not the one in danger here.

Hmm...from her blog and interviews, I have always had a Xenia-type character in mind. She is deadly, but not in an obvious way and she can get close to Bond, but is he strong enough to resist?
And as we have our 'good' Bond girl with Eve, I think Severine was either going to be all bad, or bad/confused-turned-good...but if that happens, mostly those sort of girls don't live to see the credits in Bond-world, like Tilly Masteron to some extent, Rosie Carver, MayDay, Vesper...?!

I think the days of the hollowed out volcano and the ultimate space based super weapon are over for this franchise. I don't think it's a bad thing as long as future films balance realism with the appealing and timeless elements of the franchise.
Don't bet on it. The history of the Bond franchise shows an arc after every few movies. Wilson and Broccoli know what they are doing as Cubby taught them well. Just when you make a hollowed out volcano movie you change it up and make OHMSS. Than you send Bond to outer space and than counter with FYEO. DAD was another one that pushed the boundaries and than they came back to earth with CR. So perhaps with Craig we will always see some realism but rest assured that the future of James Bond movies will still one day have subs eating subs or hollowed out volcanos.

I didn't know Charles Bronson was James Bond
Sorry you missed the Bronson era, Nico. Great 007 he was. Very iffy British accent but the handlebar moustache rocked.
