Have seen a few pictures and it looks like a architecturally interesting place - very striking. Wonder if this is going to be the lobby of the "Chinese skyscraper".

James Bond set on complete lockdown. Can see Daniel Craig doing car scene but set closes at 3.am
This scene will be set close to the driving scene along the highways of Shanghai, I suppose.

I'm guessing it will be either the lobby to the skyscraper, or Bond's hotel. The only other alternative that I can think of would be the terminal at Shanghai Pudong Airport, but I think the scenes that were shot at Royal Ascot were shot during the day.Done a bit of sleuthing. The exact shooting location appears to be Exchange House, Primrose Street.

Anyway, I just noticed something - take a look at the black car parked behind the white "taxi" (I'm guessing it's a taxi) in this photo:
It appears to be the same car as this one that was spotted by the Swiss Bond fanclub during second-unit shooting in Shanghai:
Although it is a little difficult to tell, since we can only see the front of the car in one picture and the rear of the car in the other. But I'm pretty confident that they are, at least, the same make and model (though perhaps not the exact same car in reality).

Has Daniel Craig actually shot anything in Shanghai yet?

Studio fire at Pinewood doesn't disrupt James Bond movie
A SERIOUS fire broke out at Pinewood Studios while the latest James Bond blockbuster was being filmed there.
Around 30 fire fighters from Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, Great Missenden, London and Berkshire were called to the incident on Friday, January 27 at 9.59pm.
They managed to prevent the blaze, which started in a catering lorry being used to feed the cast and crew of new Bond film Skyfall, from causing serious damage to the rest of the studios in Iver Heath.
It was discovered by on site security staff who called the emergency services.
Denis Melia, of Gerrards Cross fire station, said: "The lorry was well alight, with flames reaching the top of the adjacent building.
"Crews from Gerrards Cross and Slough used a hose reel and main jet to tackle the fire, which was now spreading to the roof from becoming fully involved and the incident from becoming much more serious."
It is believed that the cause of the fire was a fault in either the electrical or gas supply to the catering lorry.
The fire crew from Gerrards Cross stayed at the scene until around 1am when the blaze was completely extinguished.
The incident has not affected the production of the film, which will continue being made this week.

On the way back to Waterloo, I happened upon the car park that the Bond 23 crew are using as a base whilst filming in London (it's at the back of the National Theatre just down from Pizza Express).
Watching the direction vehicles were leaving the base led me to the filming site near Union Street Sat evening (didn't see anything exciting though - all interiors).
Not sure if this base is still there, but it could be a good way to find future locations in the city....good luck

Thanks for reporting it.Can you tell us some details of what did you see?

Spoke to Chris Corbould (SFX guru) after filming who was particularly enthusiastic about what's been filmed so far...no specifics unfortunately.
Not much was happening around Union Street - some of the crew were in the local pub. Managed to walk down the road which was closed off and took a glance down the alley where there were cars in place....couldn't work out what was going on. Sorry !!!
The usual B23 yellow location signs were up - easily found from the B23 base at the back of the National Theatre Southbank.
Sorry no juicy gossip...

Confirmed: the car they are using for filming the scenes in Shanghai is a black Mercedes, E or S series:

@Nobby007:Do you think they filmed also a stunt scene at Smithfield Market? We've seen a stuntman in The Range Rover...
Were Judi dench or any other actors from the principal cast on location?
The only actors on set were Rory Kinnear & Daniel Craig....no sign of Judi Dench.
No stunt work or action scenes filmed - the range rover enters the compound at a leisurely speed and even has time to indicate!!
Just been near the National Theatre this evening - certainly a few groups of trucks/trailers, but impossible to tell if any of them are in SKYFALL while it's dark. Thanks for the info, Nobby.
Last saturday evening the car park was full of camera trucks and trailers - the telling signs were the yellow "B23 Base" road signs around there.
Vehicles were turning right out of the car park, turning first right down the road by the shop and the B23 signs were followed from there.
Obviously filming has moved on now, but might be a good starting point to see if there's any activity in the future....

Thanks for this. I didn't see any of the yellow signs last night, but it's possible I was looking down the wrong roads. I saw pink signs around the National Theatre, but they didn't say B23. I'll next be around Waterloo on Friday - so will have another look.

The pink signs were up as well for a TV series that was filming in the area too, so perhaps the Bond team have moved on? Good luck

Trustworthy? 007 in Scotland??

OMG just found out Daniel Craig (JamesBond) is in Stirling filming at the Municipal buildings! They kept that quiet!
That one sounds trustworthy to me.
Edit: it appears that they are filming FILTH in Stirling this week:

I think it's genuine, too. Back to Bond's roots then!
I think any connection with Bond’s family background is coincidental and has nothing to do with the story of Skyfall and why it ends up in Scotland – at least that’s what I hope and Sam Mendes did seem to dismiss that notion at the press conference.

I certainly don't think this is indicative of anything, I fully understand how films are scheduled - my son is in the business. But man oh man - what we have seen filmed and shared so far has been - BORING. I'm ready for some insight into the action, given some hints of something "interesting" that shows us this is truly a Bond with a capital B. By the way - if the producers want to be clever - that could be a part of that Bond teaser poster we're all waiting for - the Bond with a capital B. I think someone else mentioned this. But back to what's been shared so far - am I alone in this? I guess a car chase in Shanghai could be considered "interesting" - but I'm craving something exciting.
Same here Ace. Although I do believe we feel this way because we´re in the dark. Seeing the DB5 was exciting, but then again, that was a blurry twitter pic. I´m ready to be blowned away by surprise when things really start to come out, such as official pictures, teasers, ..., intel on action scenes, ...

Rule 1: Directors lie.
He seemed to genuinely want to shoot that one down.
Rule 2: Directors are not actors. (well, he isn't).
He always strikes me as a man of intelligence and taste – why would he introduce something so crass and soapy?
