This actress says Skyfall shooting is scheduled for January 6th next year:

Carol_Bunting Carol Bunting
Filming on James Bond in the New Year! Woop Woop!

@BB_Filmmaking Breaking Bones Films
@Carol_Bunting Wicked! Is that in Jan? ~ Emily x

Carol_Bunting Carol Bunting
@BB_Filmmaking Yeah Jan 6th..xx and 5th On Coronation St

I don't know if they are both talking about the same location, but this model says the shoot will take place in the Scottish Highlands:

geeingaround Glenda Gee
Filming the new Bond soon, location Scottish Highlands :-)

Strange rumours here:

Apparently Daniel Craig was at the pub opposite my Uni filming for the new James bond film. Pissed.

I don't believe that last one. If it was Craig, then he was probably enjoying a night out rather than filming. If he was filming a scene in which Bond is drunk, then it is easier to act drunk than to act while drunk.

An article on Skyfall shooting at Ascot Racecourse:

http://www.horseandh...397/310912.html

The never-heard-before by us CBNers news is that Dame Judy Dench was on set too.

"Filming took place at night in the last week of November with Daniel Craig playing James Bond, supported by real-life racehorse owner Dame Judi Dench as “M”.

Skyfall is the name of a horse, upon which M gambles the entire SIS budget for explody things and decanters o'booze. Bardem is a deranged bookie out to get her and it all goes wrong from there.

I'm currently spending the holidays in that bustling Mecca that is High Wycombe. Any word when production will resume from holiday break and will there be any more shooting in London after the New Year?

Right. Well, given the discussion so far, your post suggested you had heard something that said filming would take place there.

I don't want them to ever come to Canada.

A) Besides a few ski resorts, Niagara Falls, and the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City, there's almost nothing here that feels "Bondian".

B) Bond films feel exotic to me because they rarely take place near my home. London, because of Bond, is exotic to me. Weird, eh? It would be odd to see 007 motoring down the 401 outside Toronto.

C) We really aren't that interesting of a country. No major political strife, corrupt institutions, natural resources that could be twisted into superweapons, or players in the worldwide intelligence community.

Aside from a sequence with "Bond in pursuit of a former NHL goon who is now the villain's henchman after a deflected puck left him with one eye and concussion caused psychotic, murderous impulses", I just can't see it.

It would be odd to ever see anybody motoring down the 401 through Toronto. Imagine a high-speed chase on a section of highway that almost never moves at any time of the day or night thanks to permanent construction and chronic accident rates?

Hmmm, a car chase through a construction site. It doesn't quite have the same feel to it as a chase along a twisty mountain road or a frozen ravine, but it could work ...

Naturally, I was being sarcastic.... but I think you knew that.

They did a foot chase through a construction site and a car chase through a quarry, so who knows....

I get what you mean with the exotic part. But I have to disagree with you on that one, I think that there are many places in Canada fit for a Bond film, mind you they filmed that ski sequence in Inception in Alberta. Although you may or may not like Inception, that location was pretty Bond-esque with the building there (Just as an example). They filmed a Bond film in America, why not Canada?

I could see maybe a traffic scene pursuit on the 401!

Haha very true, I thought I was setting myself up for that joke when I was writing the initial point. It's a god-awful highway. I live in Waterloo, and actually know people who commute via the highway into Toronto every day. They have to be clinically insane.

I've been on the 401, it's not bad on the weekends. There shouldn't be any reason why there is so much traffic that you are insisting unless there is an accident or something.

Are we talking about the same 401? (I can only vouch for the immediate hour's worth from downtown Toronto west). Admittedly, that's nothing compared to the Gardiner. Never in my 26 years have I entered or left downtown via Gardiner West without coming to a dead stop at least once.

Even a traffic jam could make for an interesting chase. Bond - in a street car, something he 'borrowed' - is stuck in a traffic jam. The bad guys don't know which car he is in. Bond needs to get out of the traffic as soon as possible, because the villains can find him at any minute.

Or vice versa: Bond needs to find the villains stuck in a traffic jam, but he has no idea what car they are in.

Interesting little thing I found on 007.com - the Bond tracker. It shows where filming is based at the moment; right now, they're at Pinewood.

I had an idea for an action sequence a while ago, involving something similar. Bond stuck in a traffic jam, decides to dump the car and use the cars as stepping stones. Bond running over the tops of cars, jumping onto the back of Lorries. etc. Although, something exciting could happen, the cars start moving again, so Bond is just running for his life running over the tops of moving vehicles.

I've had the same idea, although I like your idea of Bond jumping on top of the cars and perhaps running towards or away from the villain. Maybe perhaps while they are moving?

I'm sorry, I think I got the highways mixed up (I'm not good with names). I think I'm thinking about the QEW not the 401. I never really needed to take them anywhere, because I can't drive.
