@MrMichaelWinner there shooting a bond movie at pop the tower of London do you fancy getting back in the saddle Sir

I wonder if that’s actually the Michael Winner he is responding to there. His profile does describe him as…

“I am a totally insane film director, writer, producer, silk shirt cleaner, bad tempered, totally ridiculous example of humanity in deep [censored]

So it’s not out of the question.

However, Daniel Craig was in Madrid for a photocall this morning, so other actors from the Skyfall's cast were involved in the shooting.

Some big filming production going on at the Willis building at Trinity Square. Strangly they didn't ask if I'd be lead male #snubbed

As seen in Tomb Raider!

Not a bad double for the MI5 building, actually...

Hopefully there should be photos shortly. Thousands of people will stream through there on the way to work with Tower Hill tube and Fenchurch St close by! Plus tourists visiting the Tower of London.

You'll better go there! You couldn't imagine how exciting is watching the filming of 007. I was on set at Garda Lake during QoS: I still remember the adrenaline in my body...

Wow indeed, the Old Naval College is gorgeous and very old school. Plus Jags in Tower Hill, which is also very beautiful! And the Willis bulding! just Wow! Makes me think of MR - the novel, lots of London.

I saw a bit of the boat chase for TWINE; it was mildly fun but filming ain't as interesting as watching the film.

Nice to see that the show's back on the road. From memory, this is comfortably the most number of different locations used in London for a single Bond movie for quite some time. GOLDENEYE got around quite a lot to double for various scenes in Russia, but I think this could very well feature the most London of any Bond movie.

Also, it seems that filming at Trinity Square is continuing into the evening. More tweets to that effect online now.

Woo-hoo Dame Judi's filming in the hood! #skyfall

In December someone posted a pic on Twitter and stated that they were filming Skyfall on the Mall. here is a confirmation

anyone know what they are filming at Trinity House.. is it the new Bond?? #Skyfall they were on the Mall two weeks ago

Strangely, he says that the filming took place there two weeks ago...

I think that's based on the original poster recalling hearing about the filming near the Mall and just taking a rough guess at when it was. I wouldn't read too much into the specific details in this case.

Coffins wrapped in flags, eh?

I'm guessing they might be MI6 agents killed in the attack. Probably some kind of memorial service.

That's an interesting nugget. Presumably victims of the attack in whose aftermath Craig is sockless and unshaven. The fact that they're flag-draped suggests that they're not merely spies, but perhaps public government figures. MPs? Could this tie into the "Clair Dowar" character?

Certainly sounds like a memorial service for fallen agents to me. The report yesterday talking of a restaurant scene must have been confused by the fact the location being used is normally a restaurant.

Someone who walked past this morning has tweeted that it looks like "a funeral parade scene".

I'm going to wander around Greenwich with a camera today, but I doubt I'll see too much.

Finding myself drawn into speculating...

Flag-draped coffins are fairly rare save for military and major public figures. Had a mad moment about three minutes ago when this (totally unconfirmed) business about a satellite or a bit of secret space junk dropping out of the sky, dropped on Windsor Castle. "Bond Save the Queen".

Of questionable taste in the Diamond Jubilee year, admittedly.

And here I was hoping that one of the coffins would contain DD-M but as she was there I'm guessing not (unless she was playing her own zombie corpse, which would be possible - but rather unlikely...)
